Jays Auto is great! They may have a small staff; they are a small mom and pop business. Not everyone can expect their car to be done the next day or same day, depending on the issue. Jay's Auto always made it right when they were running behind. The owner is a great guy, bought my son a bike and donated to the school. They are human, they do a great job!

LIARS AND SCAMMERS
SCAMMERS! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! I would give zero stars if I could. Towed my car to their shop with AAA because it wouldn’t start. I towed it there on a Thursday for a Friday morning appointment that I had arranged over the phone. They didn’t even start working on my car until 2 hours before closing on the Friday of my original appt. Told me they would call me back with a diagnosis and never did. Didn’t hear back about the car until Monday. After going over what was wrong I told them to fix it. When they called to tell me the car was ready for pickup the owner Jay spoke with me and told me that the car was running good but they found during the test drive that it needed front brakes and roders. I told them to go ahead and do it. It was about an hour before close when they called back for me to come get the car. My mother paid for both jobs over the phone. I rushed down there in an Uber and when I tried to leave in the car it died right in the parking lot. Jay told me it just had “bad gas” and forgot to tell me. He said to take it next door to the gas station. I told him I was nervous to because the car was stalled in his parking lot and he didn’t care, just told me the gas would fix it. I went to the gas station and the car died and I couldn’t move it. Never even got close enough to the pump to get the gas. Called back and Jay had left for the day. Tow truck driver came to get the car back and assured me they would look at the car the next morning. They did not. I had to call myself to find out if the car was ready and they said I could come down and get it and that it was driving fine. I arrived and the car was doing the same thing. Wouldn’t stay on. Kept stalling. They continue to insist they test drove the vehicle when it was clear at this point that no one could be test driving it because it doesn’t run.. but they insisted on keeping it yet ANOTHER day to try and fix it. The call the next morning and say it was a broken wire and all is finally fixed. I was able to drive home with the car, about a 7 minute drive. I went to go out to the store about 3 hours after returning home with the car and the car died not even half a mile from my house. They had the car for over a week, charged me close to $900 in repairs, and I still have no car. Now when I call there the owner is refusing to refund me any money, hung up on me because I was upset and is now having his employees lie to me about him not being there when I know he is. They all lied and scammed me out of money when they couldn’t fix my car. They should have NEVER added on a xxxx brake job either especially if they knew the car wasn’t running. I’m no mechanic but I’m not stupid either. I would warn you to go ANYWHERE else but here for anything at all to do with your car. I wouldn’t have been upset if they just said they can’t fix the car and just charged me for the diagnostic or the attempted diagnostic, but instead they lied about the car being fixed, talked me into a second job before I could drive the car myself and are now refusing to do right by me when I was more than patient with them up until this point. These guys do awful business and they are not trustworthy. PLEASE BEWARE!!

Horrible customer service. AVOID!
The staff are horrible. They do shotty work on your car and do not value you as a customer. Would not trust my car with them ever again. Definitely do not get in the car with them if they tow you, have seen them in accidents before.

For several years I have brought my car to Jay’s for service, and each time the work has been done honestly, professionally, and timely. Justin and the crew at Jay’s auto have been fair and honest in their assessments and estimates for my car. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

All promises, no delivery.
They towed my Mazda 5 here on the promise of a low cost repair. After holding the car for two weeks, they never even looked at it, they didn't return my calls, and even hung up on me. Don't believe their advertising. !I finally brought it to the excellent shop at Tolland Citgo.

Terrible service and repairs
Worst service ever! JAY'S AUTO charged my parents over $1200 for repairs and didnt fix the problem. On top of that the car was released with major safety concerns like the tires being so dry rotted they risk failure. The labor was way overcharged. The check engine light was still on. The car still clunks and shakes. Oh and not to mention the transmission is going. None of these issues were addressed before charging my hard working father a ton of money. I'm ashamed for them that they would release this car to my 70 year old father in this condition. Your business is a disgrace. *update* after going down there and asking questions the manage Justin became very rude, questioning why i didnt do the repairs myself, continued to tell me the tires arent a safety concern but yet they repaired things that qerent a safety concern. Both him and the tech got in my face. The girl in the office was laughing while im making the complaint. The car is still misfiring and was not repaired. After asking to speak with the owner i was threatned with the police for trespassing. Jays Auto has gone way downhill. Threatning the police on a customer that just spent 1300 is pathetic. Own up to your shady business practices. I recommend no one bring their car for repair. Questionable business practices and unsafe repairs. Not a good combination

AWFUL
Worst experience by far. Jay promised a friends car would be done before Christmas. Upon finally getting the car, after the date promised, there were many flaws. They were asked to swap the motor and after a drive around the block we discovered that the spark plugs were drastically incorrect. After changing those, we hoped we solved the problem but that wasn't it. The car is smoking extremely out of the exhaust and there was a stripped bolt, which we had to tap and die ourselves. We also found out there was barely any oil so we decided to do an oil change. The oil was very black and the filter was messed up. We went to Jays Auto in efforts to fix the car but after our encounter with Jay we will never be going there again. Jay immediately lost it and started to swear and yell at us, 3 TEENAGERS, as if we were the source of the problem. I would go so far to say it was verbal abuse. There were customers in the room and surely it was captured on the store cameras. Needless to say, don't go to Jays Auto unless you would like to end up fixing their mistakes. If I could give this place zero stars, without a doubt I would.

I brought in a car very last minute to get new tires and rims mounted and they were so accommodating! I can't say enough about how pleased I am with their service. Will definitely recommend to friends.

The Best around!!!
I recently purchased a 2007 bmw 3 series from Jay's. Adam was awesome to deal with. Had all the paper work ready when I arrived to purchase car and with no hassle at all. The bmw has been great and lots of fun to drive. I would highly recommend a used car purchase from Adam at Jay's Auto in Manchester.
