AWFUL PLACE TO BUY A CAR. LIARS!

The AC didn't work when I test drove the vehicle. They told me they would fix it. They said I could come get it because it was fixed. It wasn't fixed and I called right away and told them it was blowing warm air. The owner Jay told me they would fix it. Now he tells me it's not his problem, he won't warranty it. Told me lies and said it was working when I left and he tried to tell me that I said it was ice cold. He's trying to lie to me about what I said. It was never ice cold. Now he's not gonna fix it. Beware of this place. Slimey business practices. Then he responds to the negative reviews like he's helpful. What a joke. He tries to make you think you're the problem when the only problem is his bad product and poor customer service and he lies. Warning! I would never buy a car from this company again.

One advice, RUN!!!

Got a used car I paid 4 grants for. They advertise it as in excellent condition. Of course no warranty offered ( even if the law says they don’t have to, they always have the option to add it to make customer feel less trapped). I need a car for my job and decide to believe not everyone is a crook. Well, I learn the hard way as on my way back I start hearing knocking noise. Car is now at my mechanics being fixed for an additional $1900. Of course North Auto say Honest One is taking advantage of me. The fact is Honest has 4.5 stars, and North Auto has 1.0 star. Easy to understand why.

Scammers!!

One would be much better off using a llama for their transportation than buying a car from these crooks! Go to a real dealership where you will be treated with professional courtesy. These goons have no manners and should be shut down.

Stay Away From This Place

4 grand on a truck and less than a week later the 4wd went out. The case was dry...no fluid in it at all. Richard assured me the 4wd was fine. Not true. Now I spent about a grand to get it fixed. I will say this, Richard sent me a $350 check to help with the cost. Nice gesture but buyer beware. They DO NOT ensure that their vehicles are road worthy. The drivers window regulator was also bead. It was winter so I didn't think of checking the windows....my bad. Coolant res cap missing. Time will tell what else is going to go wrong in short order.

Don't waste your time or money!!

Buyer be ware!!! There is a reason why these cars were at auction! You can't go by looks of the car, what the salesman says, and a 10 minute test drive. I even took it to a mechanic they recommend to look it over before I purchased it. That mechanic said it was mechanically sound. So of course I believed him. After the car was bought (as is, yes I know. Fool me once, but never again!) I took it to my mechanic ( I was only allowed to take the car within 15 miles of the dealership for a pre-purchase inspection) who hooked up the scanning tool because the remote start didn't work and he found out that the check engine sensor was removed! He said I would of told you to stay away from that car. The dealer's recommended mechanic didn't even hook up a scanning tool or had a clue as to why the remote start didn't work. The salesman claimed the car didn't have remote start. He said the previous owner must have bought a new key fob that had that option on it. Besides the remote start that didn't work - A headlight was out (which I found out is a pain to fix. )It took 45 minutes for my mechanic to do it. So pretty sure the dealer didn't want to fix it during their so called "inspection." The tire pressure sensor light was on. They just put a regular valve stem on the front right tire. The heated seat on the drivers side doesn't work. And right now it is at my mechanic again, for the second time. I bought it a little over a week ago! The alternator quit. Oh and the power locks don't work. Don't waste your time or money there!!!!

Poor Service

If possible I would give this place 0 stars..went to the Hugo lot looking fo a used car. I am a customer that put money down to hold a car I was very interested in. We were told by the salesman that he would hold it until we got our financing. Called on a Friday to tell him we would be there to pick it up Saturday, no more than two hours later, salesman called back and said he had sold the vehicle, the one that we had put money down on AND had a bill of sales. Absolutely would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone! How can they still be in business?! Worst business service I have ever seen!

Very unprofessional company

I called the evening before to verify the vehicle we were interested in was still available. I wasn't sure I got the correct place because the guy answered the phone as though I had called him home number. I clarified that I had called North Suburban auto sales and verified the car was still available. We drove and hour and half to see the car the following morning. We took a test drive and liked the car. We signed a purchase agreement and gave them a down payment. We then started the financial transaction with our bank. North Suburban auto sales does not keep the titles to the vehicles on the premise. Our bank required this information, so we were told we would have to wait a day or so for them to get it. We drove the hour and half back home, only to be called by the sales guy and told that someone had written the wrong price on the car and that he was not going to sell it for that price. I then had to put a stop payment on my check. This company is very unprofessional and I would not recommend this dealer to anyone.

don't bother

I went to the Saint Paul location and was interested in a car, but I was concerned about its quality so I wanted to confirm it with the dealer and perhaps negotiate. The salesman called the general manager, JAN so we can negotiate with him. The general manager was irritated by the fact that we said there is something wrong with the car. He denied and kept saying nothing is wrong with the car and he hung up on the salesman. At this point I was already hesitant about buying a car from an unprofessional dealership. He called back and wanted to talk to me. The first thing he said to me was "what do you want?" I told him I want to negotiate the price and he cut me off saying "not an option. If you don't want it I already have a customer that is going to buy it tomorrow." Very unprofessional and unacceptable. I will not be going back to that place. Don't waste your time.

Dealer response

Customer wanted to buy the vehicle, there was nothing wrong with it, he wanted me to think there was so he could buy it for thousands less. We inspect all vehicles and price to sell we are generally the lowest priced and offer warrantys with all of our vehicles. We have been in business since 1984...

Hugo, MN Location

Was interested in a vehicle from the Hugo location. Called the dealer about 7 times during the week, everytime he answered the phone with a "yeah" or "what" or even hung up on me. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. Asked many questions about the vehicle like; condition, carfax report, engine problems etc.. He said "no problems all checks out good". Will not negotiate one bit, stupid as used cars are ALWAYS, ALWAYS negotiable. Proceeded to get a loan for the vehicle, drove 2 hrs one way to check it out. Started looking over the vehicle and it looked nothing like the pictures online. Dents and damage to one side most definitely from an accident which he didn't mention about from the carfax report. Vehicle was smoked it, white glaze all over windows. He failed to tell me the check engine light was on. Under the hood the powersteering pump was leaking, the front end was leaking gear lube, the A/C unit had a rag zip tied to the lines and the front speakers didn't work. This was only about 20 mins worth of looking at it. PURE DISGUSTED with this guy as he didn't want to waste time negotiating, but he failed to tell me these things as asked and WASTED my time going to look at it. REMEMBER this Hugo shop is a REPAIR DEALER and they forget to REPAIR part in that....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Horrible Dealer

Purchased a car here. They issued a temporary license with the promise that the plates would be mailed to our home. Surprise... no plates and the temp license is about to expire. I contacted the dealer and they said the plates were mailed and it is not their problem. Plates never came. I contacted the Mn Department of Vehicle Licensing and they told me that no one came for plates until the day after I called inquiring the where abouts of my plates. They LIE and treat you horribly on the phone. This dealer is not run with any integrity. They are also guilty of shining up a car to hide flaws that you will only find out about after in rains. They are the PERFECT example of the used car scammer. NEVER buy a car here; the complaints are all over the internet.
