True Used Car Salesman Experience

If you want the true "used car salesman" experience, I highly recommend visiting Belle Meade Auto Brokers for your next vehicle purchase. I'm talking about the kind people who will xxxx on your back and tell you it's raining; tell you one thing with a smile while knowing they intend to do something completely different. If that interests you, you're in the right place. They listed a vehicle I was extremely interested in. I called, confirmed it was available, came to look at it same day. I was told by the owner, who gloated about his track record of buying this type of vehicle, that I could look at it but they had just been burglarized and this car's catalytic converter was stolen. Given that, I was unable to test drive. No problem; I understood. I was still interested and made it clear that I was. I left and he said, verbatim: "You're first in line, I'll be reaching out once this is taken care of." All of this was on a Wednesday. I was told by the owner that it was going to be taken to a shop on the following Monday for the part replacement. Even texted him to confirm on the Saturday in between, which he did. Monday comes and goes, I didn't hear anything. Tuesday comes and goes, nothing. Wednesday arrives and I finally reach out and heard nothing for hours. I finally get a reply call/text that they took a deposit on the vehicle from someone else and a more-than-half-empty promise of "I'll see what I can do and get back with you end of day." (Shocker: I didn't hear back at end of day.) The car is now listed as "sold" on their website, one week later. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. This group of people, and this particular individual, do not care about honesty and integrity, particularly if it does not benefit them/him. I'm sure others have had a perfectly great experience here. To be candid, my experience was shaping up that way. But ultimately they make decisions without any regard to potential customers, only what is beneficial to them. They truly, truly embody the stereotype of a used car salesman. I hope you have a better experience than I did if you choose to (attempt to) purchase a vehicle from here!

We purchased our our Nissan frontier from Gary about a month ago. He was so nice and easy to work with and comes across as completely honest and trustworthy I really enjoyed working with him but.... I really was relying on him as we were buying from out of state and he assured me that his mechanic had gone through the truck , he had driven the truck for an entire weekend and that it was ready to go and a”nice truck” He also told me that they went through it and it only needed a sensor which they replaced Well as soon as it arrived in Florida and we drove i there was a slight shutter in the transmission and a shake in the wheels My husband has replaced a wheel bearing right away and now it is stuck in overdrive and we fear we have transmission issues I’m writing this review because I’m frustrated in the fact that while I did buy an as is vehicle there’s no way a mechanic missed these things We should’ve known better and taken the responsibility of having a mechanic look at the truck but like I said relied heavily on Gary’s words and character At any rate it is what it is now and it’s a lesson learned from buying a truck online

Exelent customer service

For a while I was looking for Lincoln MKT national wide and found the car at this dealer. The car was excellent, the price was great and salesperson Gary made this sale transaction very smooth starting with the accurate vehicle description, working out financing paperwork and finishing with quick deal closing. I am out of state buyer so I had initial hesitation flying to another state to buy the car, but overall experience exceeded my expectation. I would greatly recommend this dealer and you can trust Gary.

Be prepared

Be prepared to take the vehicle to your own mechanic if purchasing a car from this dealer; don't trust what their mechanic may have told them about the state of the vehicle. I know this is something that should be done, regardless of the situation. I had planned on taking the car for a pre-sale inspection; but when I arrived at the seller's dealership, I saw the repair shops sticker on the very car I was test driving. I knew than that I was not going to get an un-biased inspection from that particular repair shop. Because this dealership was recommended by a long-time friend, I decided to ask specific questions and see how I felt about his responses. That was a mistake. I quizzed the seller very hard about the state of this vehicle, specifically the brakes. He produced a receipt for me that showed his mechanic inspected the brakes for this vehicle. When I asked the seller about the results of this brake inspection, the seller informed me that his rule of thumb with his mechanic is to replace the brakes if there is less than 50% life left. Sadly, when I test drove the vehicle, I didn't notice anything unusual; and I went on good faith and the seller's comments and purchased the vehicle. After my purchase, and I know I should have done this pre-sale, I took the Jetta to a reputable European repair shop, and they informed me that the brakes were at 2mm and the rotors were warped. In summary, the car is a good car; and i'm happy I purchased it. What I don't appreciate is being hung up on during the middle of a phone conversation while I'm trying to explain myself. I thought that was very unprofessional and childish. Before I could even begin to explain myself, this seller immediately took a defensive attitude and would not let me talk through the situation. During this conversation, the seller even apologized for not catching the fact that the rotors were warped and the brake life was well below 50%. I'm not happy that I was told the car had at least 50% of brake life left. I'm not happy that the seller and/or the seller's mechanic did not notice or report that the rotors were warped and there was only 2mm of brake life left. I'm not happy that I was hung up on during a phone call, in where I believe I was speaking reasonably, and in a reasonable tone. I'm also disappointed in myself for not adhering to the age old adage of never trusting a used car dealer. I tried; but it didn't work out for me. Be Aware... if you trust, you should verify

Found my dream Corvette here.......

I have been looking for a reasonably priced clean C5 Corvette for @ least six months now. Most of the dealers wanted way more than they were valued @ in the NADA guidelines online. I wanted a black, six speed manual and found one @ this dealership that really caught my eye. The salesman,Jimmy Sisk was really helpful & courteous & let me take it for a test drive. I was so happy with it and thought it was a fair price & told him that I would be back the next day to buy it if they serviced the AC with freon . They cleaned and detailed it and I drove it home the next day. This FUN toy is just one of many classic cars that this Gearhead's Heaven has in stock !! I Highly recommend this dealership to anyone who really appreciates a reputable dealership with FAIR prices !!

Buying made easy

I found a car advertised on cars.com I went to the broker(hard to find building) and found many more high quality vehicles. Shopping was easy with no pressure to buy. Broker was knowlegable and practical. I bought a different car from the one I inquired about. He arranged financing and actually got me a lower interest rate than he originally quoted. I would definitely buy from them again and have already recommended them to friends.
