I had a fantastic experience purchasing three trucks from this GMC dealership—the sales team was professional, helpful, and made the process smooth. However, my experience with their service department has been extremely disappointing due to consistently poor customer service. They recently introduced a texting feature to keep customers updated on service progress, which sounded promising. Unfortunately, it’s completely ineffective. Every time I respond to a text with a question or for clarification, I get no reply from the service advisor. It’s frustrating to have a system that seems designed for communication but fails to deliver. Additionally, when I call for updates, the staff come across as grumpy and short-tempered. They seem annoyed by basic questions about my vehicle’s status, which makes the experience feel dismissive and unprofessional. This lack of responsiveness and poor attitude have been consistent across multiple visits. While the dealership excels in sales, the service department’s customer service needs significant improvement. I hope they address these issues, as it detracts from an otherwise positive experience with the dealership.

2021 GMC Terrain SlT
I bought a car a little over two weeks ago from Stowasser GMC. I called and talked to Angel Corona on the phone. On the phone, I requested a specific VIN. Their dealership was the closest one to me that had a car with all the features I was looking for in a GMC Terrain SLT. I wanted the Safety Plus Package. Me and Angel agreed for me to come pick up the car that night. Because I was driving there after work and I live two hours away, I got there after hours. They did not show the car first. They had me sign all of the paperwork. On the way home (it is 11 p.m. at this point), I realized the car was missing one of the features I had driven all the way to Santa Maria for. Once I got to Bakersfield, I checked all of my paperwork and looked online to see what the VIN number of the car I requested was. They had sold me a base model car that only had a couple of added features, but none of the features I had driven 2 hours for. Since it was so late, I decided to call the next day. At 8 am I called and spoke to both Angel and Job Diaz. They told me there was nothing they could do. Job chastised me on the phone telling me that it was completely my fault that I drove away with the wrong car. He kept saying this even after I explained that the sticker they place on the car had the VIN number of the car I requested. I also spoke to Jacob Stowasser and he told me the same thing. There is nothing that they could do for. Over the past two weeks, it has been hard to get in contact with him. He claims he called and left me a message when I did not receive one. Of the safety features, sunroof and bonus audio package I thought I had been paying for, the only thing they only offered to add in rear censors to the car that they gave me. The never once admitted that they had made a mistake. They only blamed me in entirety for the mishap that occurred and offered to pay $600 for something that is a multiple thousands of dollar mistake.

My husband and I had the best experience with Acacia with our last purchase. She made everything so easy for us. Acacia had the process started before we came in. Job and Edgar in finance also assisted with the process even stayed after hours to make sure we got into a vehicle that night. Best sales team hands down.

New GMC Yukon
Bad experience with management while in the process in buying a New GMC Yukon they brought a color not on their lot after arriving the specs we had chosen were not all their. We didn't end up buying vehicle and they charged us 500.00 for bringing vehicle over. It was painful and will never buy there again.
