Went there knowing I had less than perfect credit. I was very upfront. Website showed lots of used vehicles but upon arrival I was shown one vehicle and pressed to purchase. Filled out credit report on a Monday after visiting on Saturday. Received no call back. Called again next day and credit report had not been run. Manager then ran report after I asked. Called and texted salesperson’s number several times with no response. Finally called and asked to speak with manager who had run credit report. Voicemail. Mysteriously as soon as I hung up I got call back from salesperson saying I needed a few thousand dollars down and a co signer. I asked if they used more than the one pre approved credit lender I gave them. I was then told I had two options. Co signer or few thousand dollars down. So I repeated co signer or 2,000.00? She said “no, I said a few thousand and a co signer” that is not a few options that is one, and a few thousand means two thousand to me not 5,000,00. Moral of the story…I did have poor credit and that’s not their fault, but they kept saying how they can approve anybody yet they hardly tried, then did not have the common courtesy to get back to me. They didn’t care since I wasn’t buying anything and I had to practically beg to talk to anybody. I worked for John Amato many years ago. I can’t believe this is the business practice he approves of. I would not recommend this dealership to anybody.

Kolton was great.
Kolton was great. He was knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I was buying a used car which was not manufactured by Hyundai (It was a Hyundai dealership) and he still was able to answer the questions I had. I would definitely recommend him to other potential car buying customers.

Overall I had a great leasing experience with Amato
Overall I had a great leasing experience with Amato Glendale. Their communication was great and the negotiation process was fair and efficient, which I appreciated. The only ding for the dealership was the delivery experience. I leased an electric car, and they did nothing to help support this process. They didn’t mention the BlueLink app. Didn’t mention anything about the Electrify America charging plan. Didn’t ask me if I had a home charger. Didn’t offer to show how to charge the vehicle, etc. An extra 10 minutes at delivery would have went a long way. I hope they consider this for future customers!

Matt is great.
Matt is great. He’s more about building a relationship than a quick sale. He was very accommodating as we had some moving parts pertaining to trading in a car or selling it to a family member. He came up with a solution to purchase a new Tucson freeing up the time constraint to figure out what to do with our existing car. We would definitely work with him again.
