My father is a Vietnam veteran living on an extremely fixed income. My brother bought him a used Caddilac CTS.. a couple months after purchasing it he... was driving it on the hwy it began giving him issuses. He brought it to a local mechanic who told him the motor was no good. My father contacted Sunset Cadillac and spoke to Dave in the service department informing him of the situation and asked how much a motor swap would be.. Dave later called my dad back and told him they had a used motor for around $5000. However he doubted it was a blown motor, sounding more like the timing chains jumped teeth. Hearing this he decided to bring it to them for a second opinion. After looking at it they advised him on doing the timing chains for $2700.. Upon repair they told him the motor still had the prior issues and after pulling the oil plug they found metal shavings.. (trouble shooting 101..) So long story short. They charged a 73 YEAR OLD WAR VET ON A FIXED INCOME $2700. To get his broken car back. After not properly diagnose the problem or fixing the real issue. His motor is now being replaced for an additional $3700 parts and labor at another dealership. BUYER BEWARE

We came in with our friend to help with the process of picking out her car. Lindsay assisted us. She took her time with us and was very knowledgeable of... her product. She was able to direct Ellen to the prefect vehicle. The negotiating with Mike was fair. The buying process with Craig was painless. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful.
I shopped 10 different locations and liked the approach from Linda and Lyndsay. I am in sales myself and know a good sales person and can also spot sincerity.... The reason why I chose this dealership As I really felt they wanted to develop a relationship with me. They weren't pushy at all but persistent. I thought their initial offering to me was a fair price. I could've went with any color and any dealership I just chose this dealership because I felt it was a relationship I would feel good sending friends and family too. Lyndsay and Linda were fantastic. There follow up was excellent as well.

Service...and especially Pete in the Suncoast Venice Service Department...are A+++ Without an appointment, Pete handled an unexpected service need as... I was getting ready for a road trip. Pete is great at follow up as well...I always know that I will receive a call to be sure all is good. Customer service is so important and so lacking in many instances,but not here...they get my highest recommendation!!
