Easy selling process

Brittany was exceptional to deal with in selling my car to Renn Kirby. She was honest and straightforward throughout the entire sales process. No games!! It is worth mentioning I was not purchasing a new car from the dealership and was still treated with respect and given a very fair price (the highest offer received on my car).


Great Service from Jeff Sealock!

No Integrity, Morals, nor Scruples

My advice to you is to go somewhere else and not buy anything from this dealership. I am writing a review based on the recent experience of my 83 year old father who is on a very limited income and was talked into buying a car from Renn Kirby Chevrolet Buick. Again, the information I have is third hand knowledge based on what my father said he was told and of course the dealership did not put anything in writing so they are not legally obligated to do anything. My father went into Renn Kirby after receiving a flyer from this dealership last year saying he could be the winner of $25,000 so he went in to see if he got lucky. Of course he didn't win the money and I don't know who, if anybody, ever won this $25,000 dollars but I can't say either way. Instead, they had a high pressure salesperson, whose name is Dave and conveniently doesn't work there anymore, talk him into buying a car that he knew my father couldn't afford. My father explained to the salesperson repeatedly that he could only afford $100 a month in payments so somehow they talked him into a car that they financed for him at $385 a month for ~7 years (yes 7 years when my father will turn 90 years old). Apparently the deal that my father heard from the salesperson was that that they would give him a check to go towards the payments for the first 10 months so he would only be paying $125 a month. The dealership did do that, at least, but this was in writing so they had to. Also, it was my father's understanding from the salesperson that he would get another check at the end of the 10 months to use on the payments for another 10 months. This second payment wasn't in writing so, of course, now the dealer doesn't know anything about it. The dealer asked my father to come in for refinancing. Maybe they could bring down the payments but all they could do was offer him another car at about the same price which would bring the payments down to $325 a month. So now my father is in a situation where the car could get repossessed and he would be without a car. The problem I have with this is: 1. My father repeatedly told the salesperson he could only pay $100 a month but the salesperson continued to push him. I'm just wondering what kind of person takes advantage of an elderly person just to make a buck. 2. On the day this deal happened, my father ended up staying at the dealership for many hours which wore him down. As I said before, my father is 83 years old and sitting in a dealership with a high pressure salesperson for hours would wear anyone down much less an elderly person. 3. They gave him financing for 7 years at which time my father will be 90 years old. Who knows if he will even still be driving by this time. 4. In my opinion, the salesperson knew what they were doing and were just out to make a buck off of an elderly person who doesn't have much money to begin with. So, you can do what you want but if you do any business with this dealership, or any dealership for that matter, get everything in writing. I would recommend you even record the conversation with you cell phone or a digital recorder so there's no dispute later. Again, in my opinion, what Renn Kirby did was immoral and unscrupulous.


Very Kind and Helpful!!

This was the first time I went car shopping on my own and the first time I had to lease. I bought my SUV in October and haven't had any issues. The salesperson, Brian, was very nice and helpful. My vehicle has everything I was looking for and more at a great price. They helped me every through the process and explained every step! Would definitely recommend!!


Toyota 4runner

Called on a vehicle for sale and asked any damage free was told yes by salesman Kurt.drove 35 minutes to find door was damaged and someone fixed it poorly had multiple little dents to repair and headlights were hazed over and scratched...Very poor business to tell customers a clean damage free car plus put garbage on the lot ...Sad


Deceitful pricing

Purchased new Trax in June, based on OTD quote (out-the-door) by sales manager. As I was being overwhelmed with all the forms I kept asking for a price breakdown to make sure I was getting all the rebates offered since the final price seemed high - was told everything was in there. Got home, did the math, and found out I was overcharged at least $583 (depending on tax and tag reductions). Called the sales manager and asked for a breakdown to see where the difference was - she could not/would not provide a breakdown but did admit I was overcharged. They then sent a check for only $481 without an explanation why they didn't send the full amount. Again, I called and asked about the remaining $100 , their reply only referenced top level prices and didn't even attempt to explain the $100 difference between my numbers and theirs. There is no transparency in their pricing structure, and they will not detail how they get to the 'quote' price. Not bad if they actually honor the quoted price, but very dishonest if they charge you a higher price and refuse to explain the difference. I assume they hope most people won't bother checking the final price paid compared to the quoted price. Will be taking my complaint directly to GM since Renn Kirby doesn't seem interested in making it right. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone.
