Wish I could give car max a 0.

Wish I could give car max a 0. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT SHOP here for a car. TURN AND GO TO A LEGIT DEALERSHIP. I was screwed over not once but twice. The first time I ordered a car paid 300 to get it shipped. Once I got here they RAISED the price I reserved. I showed screenshots of the price and the confirmation codes. It did not make a difference, I had 40,000 ready to spend for this car and they were holding back on a couple thousand that was increased the second it got to Fresno. IT SHOULD NOT BE RAISED WHEN THE CUSTOMER RESERVES IT AND PAYS FOR SHIPPING. I could have purchased it but CARMAX FRESNO promised to hold it at that price for me. I let one of the sales person know I would be in when I was no longer sick. This was my first bad experience. THEY WERE NOT HELPFUL AND RUDE. I did not purchase because I do not like how they went back on their word. The second time I sold my car ready to purchase a car that I reserved and ordered. I went to the test drive after it passed "all the inspections". The second I turned on the car it was making a loud humming noise. They were going to sell me a broken car. I immediately requested this get fixed. I reserved the car from Nevada so the price is lower then California. Its been over 2 months since I have been waiting on this car to get fixed. The staff gives me the run around when I call. They pass me around to a bunch of associates who do not know anything about my situation and give me WRONG INFORMATION. I was told that my car was ready two times when it was not. Every time I would call the phone would get "disconnected" and the person on the other line was too LAZY to call me back after I waited 20-30 minutes on hold to speak to this person. My sales associate is part time and NOBODY will help me when he is not in because he is assigned to my case. WELL GET SOMEONE ELSE LIKE A MANAGER TO CALL ME OR HELP ME OUT WHEN HE IS NOT THERE. They are very lazy. The managers will not call me back. I call daily and nobody can give me an answer. At this moment I have been paying for a rental for months with absolutely no help. THEN I get an email saying my car is no longer reserved after me holding out on this car for months. The sales associate lets me know that sometimes if Car max does not want to pay for the car to get fixed they sell it privately. I know that they are not helping me so I will not reserve it anymore and they can raise the price and make more money yet again. DO NOT SHOP HERE THEY are all horrible and do not help. They just want to take your money, give you NO good customer service and NOT HELP. Go to a real dealership if you want to purchase a car.

No pressure, cars looked great, loved Pierre heroldson very knowledgeable, helpful. I've decided when I buy my car it will be at carmax. Only thing I don't like is paying for transferring car.

A Pleasant Buying Experience

This was the most relaxed and efficient purchase my wife and I have ever made. We were in and out with a RAV4 in less than two hours, including a test drive. The salesman, Joshua, was fantastic. There was zero pressure to buy but lots of information and help in making our decision.

Never Buy Here

Can we do negative stars? After walking in at noon and being told it would be an hour, after 3 hours we made an appt for 530. Then 6, 630... As we were leaving they called us. Turns out the cars we were interested in were not available and we could have checked their status online. BUT NONE OF THE TEN PEOPLE (INCLUDING A MANAGER) THAT WE TALKED TO THROUGHOUT THE DAY BOTHERED TO TELL US THAT! TOTAL JOKE OF A BUSINESS.

Bad costumer service

When in to buy a car, but I wanted to test drive it first. So I check in at the front and the lady told me it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait, so I said it was fine, ill just go ahead and see what else is in the lot. An hour later nothing, so I went back inside and all I see is a lot of employees on there phone or just talking to each other and not doing anything. So I ask if they forgot about me, they told me I was still on the list. I was like ill give them 10 minutes more and nothing. So I left! 40 minutes later after I left I receive a phone call from them. This is ridiculous! I know I could make an appointment but that is a long time for waiting when they have all this employees not doing anything!

Boss 302

Called and had the car shipped to Fresno from another location. Went in to the location to buy the car as I wanted for 1 hour for the sales person to get the manager went to take another look at the car wile waiting. I noticed the license plate was not even mounted in the center of the car in the front. I left and saved my money and went else where to get the same car.

Wanted to speak to a sales manager

Called 4 times - put on hold each time, then after 4-5 min. would get hung up on. Would call back and explain what happened and kept happening. Last time called and said do not put me on hold, and please get me a Sales manager - was told to leave my name and number. No one ever called back. WOW... amazing they are still in business. Basic business practice....Take the call when a potential client calls in or at least call them back!

Thanks so much for no call back "Luis"

Called and talked to Luis about buying an SUV and have it transferred or flying in to drive it back! Called and left messages and never could get a call back!!! Great reflection for the entire company! Don't worry I won't call again or ever buy from CarMax....extremely disappointed!!!

Carmax is a joke

Long story short they sold me a car with what appears to be a rolled odometer. They are rude and not helpful. Don’t trust them.

Extended warranty beware

Bought extended warranty and passenger door lock broke. Mechanics fixed lock but misaligned door in process. Was told they can not fix. Will not refund warranty...will not return calls when they say. Disappointed. Will no longer buy cars at carmax
