We recently purchased a BMW X5 from Yark. Shortly after buying it, the water pump failed. When we took it to a BMW dealership for repair, we were told that a step had been missed during a previous water pump replacement — work that had been performed by Yark before the sale. Unfortunately, this prior repair wasn’t disclosed to us, and when we reached out to Yark about it, they declined to take responsibility or offer any assistance. We specifically chose to buy from a dealership like Yark to avoid issues like this, so the experience was very disappointing. I hope this feedback helps others make informed decisions and encourages Yark to be more transparent about pre-sale repairs.

BMW of Toledo appreciates the feedback and will always take it into consideration for the future. Repairs after the purchase of an AS IS vehicle without a warranty are the consumer’s responsibility unless an extended warranty is purchased. If there was a failure with something done during reconditioning, we would be willing to look at the issue and determine if it falls under a parts warranty for the replaced part. In this instance, we did not have the opportunity to inspect the vehicle ourselves, and another shop completed the repair. We did offer some money back to you in the form of a gift card due to a less than satisfactory experience, but it was declined. If you would still like to revisit that option, please feel free to reach back out and we can review it with you.

I am an out of state buyer,,,financing process took seven weeks even though my credit score was around 830...car interior was dirty when they delivered it to me in Pa....salesperson was ok but a little short on promises !!

For clarity, your initial visit was on 6/27, the purchase decision on 6/30, and paperwork was completed by end of day on 6/30. The vehicle was delivered promptly, and when you expressed concerns about its condition, both the Salesman and Sales Manager immediately offered to address the concern. You had denied those offers but we are still more than willing to find an amicable solution. Regarding the title, please note that out-of-state processing is handled by the state and typically takes 30–45 days, which is unfortunately beyond our control. We are committed to delivering a seamless, world-class experience and apologize if we fell short in any area. We value your business and are happy to discuss any remaining concerns directly.

Nice sales reps and nice service staff. But if you're considering buying a "used" BMW, don't do it! Please don't do it. Even if you get one with low miles as I did, you'll be repairing that car every year for as long as you own it.

We wish we could prevent all repairs for our customers, but even if we could inspect every square inch of a car, this could still happen because a part is working until it isn’t, and if it is an internal component, then we wouldn’t know without disassembling the engine.
