This seller has been on Cars.com since February 2007.
25 years ago our business began as a smaller pre-owned dealership in Northeast Philadelphia where we specialized in serving our customers with affordable economical and well maintained cars. We have expanded over the years to our current location in Bridgeton New Jersey where we now stock well over 70 cars trucks vans and suvs. Our motto has never changed we still "SIMPLY SELL FOR LESS"!! NEVER GO TO DAVE & MIKES USED CARS BRIDGETON NJ

Back in April I purchased a vehicle from Dave & Mikes. Paid cash for the vehicle. Prior to signing the documents and handing over the cash I did inform the salesman about issues we noticed when we started up the car. Check engine light, tire pressure light, brake light + more. The salesman said with a confused look on his face it’s no way the check engine light is on. He had another person whom work there go outside with the car code reader and when he came back said oh it’s a fuse something very small. Let me get Dave on the phone and try and work out something. They lowered the price a little since the check engine light was on. By September I had spoken with Dave about the issues with the vehicle. He stated it was his friends vehicle he knew it had problems but his friend really wanted help selling the vehicle. Dave stated that he wanted to make this situation “right” he DIDNT want his dealership to get a “bad” name over a 3900 car. He offered to give me 3000 for the car I previously purchased. For nearly 2 weeks every time I called to speak with him he was unavailable. I was near the dealership on my day off of work so I stepped inside instead of calling because I was starting to feel like he was avoiding me & truly DID NOT want to make this situation right. When I stepped inside the door he has another customer in his office and he is already becoming very loud. I asked where this attitude was coming from; the last time we spoke you acknowledged you sold me a BAD CAR and you would do everything in your power to make it right. At this point I’m apologizing to the customer whom is sitting in the office. Dave jumps up from his chair saying “it’s nothing I can do” An employee I spoke to prior comes inside the doorway and I’m asking him why is this man acting crazy and yelling. The worker seemed just as confused as I was. I had a relative outside waiting for me who came running in when she heard him yelling. He acted as if he was calling the cops I WISH HE WOULD HAVE BECAUSE I WOULD OF FILED A REPORT AGAINST HIM WITH THEM. My relative and I walked out and left. I DEFINITELY WOULDNT RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! RUN & DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I was never disrespectful, I came to Dave & Mikes to purchase a vehicle not to be yelled at by a nasty, overweight, sloppy CON MAN!

CAUTION…….

I purchased outright a car, only to find out that Dave did not have the title and the fellow he got the car from did not have the title and there was still a lien on the car from another party. He stated that this was “done all the time.” Then he yelled at me, threatened to sue and screamed that I had “got” him. It was the most frightening and unprofessional behavior that I have ever experienced. In the end, I received a refund but be careful: if purchasing a car, make sure that the title is there. Also, avoid Dave. The rest of the staff is very good. Without them, Dave would have no business.

After the encounter I just had with Dave, it's hard to choose the right adjectives to accurately describe this fraudulent business. A few words that come to mind are rude, dishonest, disrespectful, and arrogant. Unfortunately, some people in this world cannot keep their word . They will threaten and intimidate other people, raise their voices, make up lies, and victimize themselves to try to renegotiate the terms of a transaction after the fact. Those are exactly the kind of people you can expect to deal with here. It's too bad I cannot leave a negative number of stars. Absolutely pathetic.

Owner Dave cussed Me/pregnant fiance out!

So long story short dave the manager, cussed us out because he went back on a promise, legit scam artist and xxxxxxx this guy is, im sorry in advance for anyone who has or had to deal with this sorry excuse for a human being, stay safe and dont go here lol even if its your last resort, you’ll thank me lter

SCAM ARTISTS!!!!

WORST DEALER I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! I will forever tell everyone to avoid this place like the plague. Slapping temporary bandaids on cars that have massive issues. I spent $5000 on a car there and two weeks later the entire engine blew. When I brought into my mechanic was told they put some kinda “pool type” seal across an already cracked engine and the dealer should’ve already knew there was a huge issue. Repair cost $5000 all together and I lost my car for almost TWO MONTHS!!! Dave and mike basically told me “ oh well ur problem not ours” and now a friend of mine is also having MASSIVE ISSUES with her newly bought car 3 weeks into owning it. Transmission completely blew, and than the loaner car you gave her, also broke down and transmission blew on that too. What a xxxxty thing to be doing to desperate people trying to survive. Even worse we are both single mothers !!!!

Owner, Dave is a liar

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership because it seemed to be a decent place. The purchase process was not bad but the owner, Dave is a fast talking person who is NOT a man of his word. I recorded him saying he was a man of his word and threw around warranty that I purchased. As a matter of fact, the warranty didnt cover much and he knew it. Watch out for this place and read everything. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Well Dave and Shannon, you did it again!! We were looking on Saturday July 20th for an SUV. THE one wasn't there...yet. Dave called me on the 26th, letting me know he had more in stock. We went after work and boy oh boy, was he right. Fell in love with a 2016 Mazda, and by Monday after work, I was driving it home. Won't go anywhere else.

Avoid this place

They suck bought a 2006 explorer has spent more time in the shop then my cousins old beat up 83 f150 claimed I had a rebuilt trans it wasn't thermostat was leaking blower motor was squealing lousy place avoid them
