I contacted the dealer about a truck I was interested in on cars.Com. A Mr. Lipscomb answered and informed me that the truck had sold but that he did have... other trucks in that category. He also told me he could have some work done if I needed it. He was very polite and helpful, I will be going up there to look in person in a couple days. I expect to have another good review to post then.
My services that i had got from all the sale people was very poor, i am a single woman that was making my first cat purches and they know that. the sales... men left out vital information that may have kept me from buying the car. i am new to town an had no idea that i would have to pay taxes so to calm me they told me i could get a 30 day extenion . that was a lie.. oh an let me just add that i did not know nothing about the taxes tell i was walking out the door , when i went in to talk to them about it an mention that they could help me with the sales taxes to make things right the owner was in the other room laughing at me . to make things right he offered to wash my car, slap in the face . they totally took advantage of me knowing i had no clue of what i was doing just to make a sale..
This is a FAKE review.. This was not written by Jim Zumo.. The people down at Lipscomb Auto Group do not have any CATS for PURCHASE.. Your Relationshi...p Status has no bearing on how you will be treated or your ability to PURCHASE a Pre-owned car, truck or SUV at Lipscomb Auto Group. Everyone who buys a used vehicle in the state of Mo. has to pay sales tax (unless you have a credit) and are told at time of sale that they will have 30 days to come up with it. NO ONE would have told her that she would get a EXTENSION because there is no such thing.. Lipscomb Auto Group is very sorry that you misunderstood YOUR responsibility to pay YOUR sales tax, but trying to get LAG to pay your taxes to keep you from writing a bad review will not be tolerated. Lipscomb Auto Group wants everyone to have a Great and positive car buying experience, and most of them DO.
Very attentive and helpful. Easy to speak with and good selection of cars. Didn't end up buying there but would recommend for their friendly behavior.
I had been searching nationwide for a VW Phaeton for roughly a year. Found what i hope is a decent example from this dealership. Jim was extremely helpful... and the transaction went seamlessly. Trusting someone when buying a car across the country is something difficult to do when being able to inspect or visualize the car in person isn't an option. For the price i am extremely satisfied and barring anything outside of expected condition of an older car - i fully assume to be pleased with the entire purchase. Jim was responsive and answered any of the questions that I had and has followed through to help make sure the vehicle is loaded and shipped my direction. Barring a non-running vehicle upon arrival I don't see why I wouldn't highly recommend doing business with this dealership! To date the experience has been fantastic!

Car stalled after a few minutes of test driving. Sales people refuse to go on test drive, no wonder because the car stalled. He relisted the convertible... for +$4100 more than when we drove it a couple of weeks ago. I guess he rebuilt the tranny and engine in 10 days then relisted it on Cars.com ?
They were very nice at first. We were very pleased until we actually started to negotiate a price. My wife and I were very interested in a vehicle they... had for sale. However, after beginning to negotiate the price they offered it to us at a certain price "in writing". After I went back to accept their offer they basically told me "See we knew you'd come up, and now we are only willing to accept X amount for it." And yes, you guessed it. It was a considerably higher amount than they had offered it to me for, and what we had agreed to pay. After the salesman realized we were no longer interested after they jacked the price up he told us we had "wasted his time" and we were no longer worth dealing with. They had the car overpriced, there were many issues with the car that they hadn't fixed, and had basically made the car look pretty, and tried to hide everything else. They still have the car for sale, and my wife and I have since bought another car of the same type and year from another dealer who was more than happy to sell us a car in better condition for less than Lipscomb wanted. Overall I would highly recommend you avoid this dealer at all costs.
I called over the phone about a 2006 Saab Convertible for my daughter and the salesman had to be having a bad day. The customer service was very poor over... the phone, so I wasn't even thinking about going to Nixa Mo. to look at the Saab. Its not a surprise to me that the is still on the lot from March!!

We needed to trade in 1 vehicle for 2, one for my wife and one for my daughters first car. Karl was amazing - professional, honest and courteous. We test... drove a number of vehicles and found 2 that were right in our price range/budget. Karl got us the fastest deal I've ever been a part of and took care of some minor details, got Dillon to clean them up real nice and sent us on our way very happy. Later when we realized there was one other minor fix needed, Karl took great care of us and even offered to pick us up/drop us off at our home if necessary. From now on we're going to Karl and Lipscomb Auto Group for our 1st Choice in vehicle needs.
