Great experience!

We just bought a beautifully maintained, low mileage, compressed natural gas, 2010 Econoline cargo van from Precision Auto Sales. We were impressed with the quality of the vehicles on their lot. The guys were great; personable, up front, helpful and confident in their product. We are so excited to have found a great van at an awesome price for our electrical business. We would recommend Precision Auto Sales Inc. to anyone that wants great service and a high-quality vehicle! We'll update our review if there are issues with the vehicle, but I can't imagine there would be; it has been perfectly maintained. We can't wait to add our branding and put it to work! Thank you Dave and Chad for a great car buying experience!

Dissapointed

Very disappointed with the vehicle I bought as well the customer service. I bought a 2014 Subaru Forester from this place about a month ago. I am a young woman and I was by myself. I test drove it around the area with the Dave and everything seemed fine. I was excited to buy this vehicle because the ad made it seem like everything was great and there would be no issues with the vehicle. After I bought the car and drove away there were immediate issues. I noticed the car was seemed really loud upon acceleration past 40mph. My test drive was not on the hwy so I hadn't noticed then. Then the windshield wiper fluid was out. Whatever, made a note to buy some. I drove to a friends and they informed me a tail light was out. Whatever, bought a bulb to replace. Then I noticed the back wiper wasn't working. Looked and the blade was stripped. Whatever, bought a new wiper. My dad was annoyed that these things weren't checked, but they were quick, cheap fixes. Then about 10 days after after I bought it the AC started blowing hot air. Not something you can predict. The warranty doesn't cover that so I called the place and Dave told me to stop back by and they'd look at it. He used a recharge kit and it was fine, but I know that's a just a bandaid since there is obviously a leak or bigger problem. I appreciated the help, but I mentioned the car was really loud I suggested it was a ball bearing from what I looked up and I felt like he wrote it off. I left. Then, after the first rain when there was more moisture in the air smoke odor seeped from the upholstery! It was quickly overwhelming. You could tell cleaner was used to mask the smell but the moisture made it come out. I was so annoyed. My parents came to visit me and as soon as my dad got on he said it sounded like the noise was because the car wasn't shifting past 2nd gear. I took it to highly recommended auto shop and they said it was the right rear wheel bearing. They said they could see why we thought it wasn't shifting because after about 35 mph it was so loud you couldn't hear it shift. Obviously this was an issue before I bought the car. This doesn't happen, suddenly, and I told them early on there was something wrong. I called two days in a row and left a message at the dealer letting them know what happened. I have not received a call back. I realize they sell cars “As is”, but considering everything combined it's ridiculous. They sold me a car with issues. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I was a woman alone. And for them to not even call me back? Awful. I hope you're ASHAMED of yourselves. I had to pay out of pocket for repairs for a car I just bought. These things should have been fixed before it was sold. The gentleman who fixed it said it was ridiculous that this car was sold with these issues. I will be contacting the BBB and the PA attorney general. This is unacceptable and just bad business. I expected to buy a safe car and no wiper fluid, a burnt out tail light, a stripped wiper blade and a worn wheel bearing is not safe. I would NOT recommend this dealer, especially if you are a woman alone looking for a safe vehicle. Again, very disappointed in being sold a defective vehicle.

Dealer response

As with every vehicle we sell, we do our very best to prevent any issues by getting each vehicle serviced from an extremely reputable company and therefore rarely ever have any issues arise! This particular vehicle was a 2005 Ford Escape with 117,000 4wd, local trade, which normally we do not keep, however, the body and interior were very clean so it would be an inexpensive vehicle. After we had sold the vehicle the reviewer took the vehicle to their own mechanic and got an oil change and the mechanic found a hole in the engine cradle. The buyer notified us and we immediately, without hesitation gave the money back and this all took place the same day! We simply took their word and no questions were asked. The reviewer received all the money back and we even reimbursed them for the oil change! We know there are some people who no matter how hard you try, you can't make happy or satisfied which in this case, is true! After receiving ALL monies back, the reviewer felt as if that wasn't enough and asked for $4000. We at Precision Auto Sales handled the unfortunate situation in the absolute correct manner. We work very hard for our good reputation and if you read the real and legit reviews you will see Precision Auto Sales does right by the customers who purchase from us! Also, to the reviewer, obviously it was an unfortunate experience for all involved, however when you try and slander a business, realize behind that business are people and families trying to make an honest living.

Great deal 07 Jeep Commamder... HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The salespeople were very professional amd easy to work with-- no pressure, reasonable and accurate pricing. They understand the way the internet has changed the marketplace. Car was priced accurately, was is excellent shape and immaculately clean. A very pleasant experience that did not take hours upon hours to complete like the bigger dealerships. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Precision Auto! A++

Got an Awesome Car - SO-SO Dealership

I felt like we had a good experience when we first looked at the car. The car was nice, gently used, and we felt that the price was fair. They did give me what my other car was worth in trade. However, we mentioned after the test drive that the car felt slightly out of alignment and the salesman we worked with mentioned taking it to a local Goodyear to have it checked. This was not done (although we really did not press it as it was not grossly out of alignment). When we talked about financing the dealer told us that our bank would not look at proof of income and just go by what I told them I made (which is totally false and anyone knows that looking for auto financing). After we got the car home and had it for a few days, we looked in the "owner's manual" folder and discovered that THERE WAS A NOTEPAD IN THE BOOKLET FOLDER INSTEAD OF THE MANUAL! If they would have told us it was missing, most likely not their fault, I would have been fine with this, but I felt like they faked that the owners manual was in the car by doing this. The car has a lot of features that one needs the manual for (e.g. bluetooth phone connectivity, etc, stereo controls, etc, computer controls, et). We would have been fine just asking where to get one, but after discovering this attempt to "pretend" that the manual was in there, we were pretty mad. I will say that this dealership was much easier to deal with then the previous unnamed one that we used to purchase my other car, but I am uncertain that I would recommend them after these things, albeit minor, occurred.

Bought a used SUV, it is what it is.

OK, I waited over a year to write this review because I didn't want to jump to any conclusions as to the quality of the car without letting a reasonable amount of time pass. I bought an SUV about 16 months ago from Precision. The price was reasonable, the car did have a few minor issues before I purchased. (Door handle didn't work) but that was taken care of. (Later needed to be addressed again.) The experience of purchasing the car was OK. Nothing special. I tried to negotiate the price down but there was no room for negotiation. We had a minor misquote when he gave me the final price, he called me later the next day when I was to come in with my check and explained that he had made a mistake. I told him I understood, and gave him the amount he requested for the SUV. I had the standard warranty that they give, which is either 30 or 90 days, (I can't remember the exact amount of time.) After less than a week, the battery died in the car. I called them, and they were unwilling to replace it because it "Wasn't covered." He told me he would check with the owner and call me back. It's been 16 months, and he never called. I'm guessing they won't cover it. About 4 months later, the alternator went, and I had to have that replaced. All in all, other than the above listed issues the car is in good condition, and has continued to run well besides those 2 issues. Hopefully it will continue. Would I buy there again? Probably. I know what to expect, and I can live with it. I was buying a used car, and there is a certain amount of risks involved. But, when you hand a guy a check one day, and call a few days later with a dead battery, you would think a returned call would kind of be in order. I would have been fine with a final "No" on the battery. And I probably would have given 4 stars. Would I recommend them to a friend? No. But I would share my experience, and let them make their own decision. The car has been running good after those 2 repairs, so that's good. I just wouldn't push anyone to go there, but I wouldn't tell them not to either.

Not a good experience

I bought a nissan versa 2 months ago put less than a 1000 miles on it. To find out it needs 800 dollars in repairs . I called to speak with them . Basically all they had to say is the repairs weren't covered by warranty

Car Buying Made Easy

I recently bought a car from Precision and had a great experience. David was awesome and great to deal with. He is very upfront and honest with you and does not pressure you into buying the car. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the market for a used car to look here first to see if they have what you are looking for. Thanks again to David.
