DISAPPOINTED

I contacted the dealer about purchasing a vehicle there. I was gonna be out of town so Doug said he would wait for my call upon my return. When I called right after I got in town, he told me he had sold the car I was interested in two days prior to my arrival. He did not call me to inform me of this. I had stopped looking elsewhere thinking he would not sell it in my absence. I know, it's business but a courtesy call doesn't hurt anyone. BTW, the car is still listed for sale. Please remove ad. Thanks!

GREAT PRICES....

I usually shop hard online and in person before buying. The nice thing is that even after my research, I have ended up buying my last 2 cars from Doug and Wendy. Trust is what is important to me and I know I can trust them. Used cars are always a risk and I have always known that. The difference with Doug is that I really believe that he reveals the good and the bad and I can make the choice myself. The other great thing is that I have found their prices to always be better than all the 'Ridge Rd' large car dealers. I definately recommend all my friends to check out their inventory when looking for a car.

Bad Service

The dealer sold me a definite lemon (as the exhaust fell out of the bottom of my car after less than a week) but because of the fact that the car had just over 100,000 miles and wasn't covered under the lemon law he simply replied that he couldn't do anything for me. He said he would talk about prices with me for fixing it (like I was really going to go to him for service when he sold me a horrible car) and that was it.

Dealer response

We are truly sorry that this car turned out to be a cause of trouble to the customer. Unfortunately we cannot predict what will happen when a car leaves our location. This car was originally sold for $1300.00 under book value, $3700.00 for an '02 Sentra. The car was checked for inspection by a certified nys mechanic and passed nys inspection. Because the car was over 100k there was no warranty required by nys law. I offered to have the exhaust repaired at my discounted cost, they declined understandably. At that point I sent the customer a check for $100.00 to help with the cost of repair. We are trying to do the best we can to insure our customers are satisfied but there are limits to everything. We hope our customers understand this.
