Horrible Customer Service, Dishonest, & Rude

BUYER BEWARE of Art and Midwest Motors. Based on a recent experience, they will completely screw up your vehicle during install, and then claim it wasn't because of them. Art blamed the issues on the software engineers at General Motors and claimed it was because of a mistake they made. He said he was going to figure it out and get back to me. He never got back to me. I had to call several times a week for several weeks to try to resolve this, to no avail. When you call them to nicely explain what is going on with the truck, and ask them for a solution, they will not do the right thing. Art was extremely rude to me and claimed that it has nothing to do with their installation, talked down to me in a chauvinistic way, came up with excuse after excuse, and then proceeded to hang up on me. I am a very professional person, and have been nothing but professional, kind, and patient with these people. I would have loved to resolve this like an adult over the phone, but since I was hung up on, I will go ahead and leave an honest review like this to let other consumers know what to expect. To be treated this way is absolutely ridiculous when someone pays the money that I did for a product and service ($12,000+). It is pretty hilarious to me that they are not going to take accountability for issues they caused and then claim it is all just a giant coincidence. A perfectly good truck with zero issues just coincidentally has issues after they did an install on it? Come on now. You are a slimy used-car salesman and that is how you do business and treat your customers. If that is who you are going to be, then at least own up to it. I asked him to at least refund the several hundred dollar fee I paid, since what I paid for doesn't work, but of course he refused and came up with reasons why he can't do that. They will absolutely take your money and run with it. They do not care about you as a customer. They are nice to you at first and will say and do anything to get you to spend your money with them. Once they take your money, they will treat you the complete opposite. If there is an issue with something they caused during install, they will not do anything to resolve it and will treat you like trash. I would personally run the other way if you are considering buying anything from these people.

Very satisfied with my truck

Had a great experience! Thay offered a great trade allowance and easy financing. Meet the service manager and will be likely back to have them service my truck

Least helpful sales person

I submitted a request for more info from the cars.com site. They did call back promptly which is where the good experience ended. When I asked for more information on the car the sales person was the least helpful I could imagine. I asked for the build sheet she said "sorry don't have it" and then silence. When I asked for the axle ration she said, "sorry don't have it, I would have to make a call" and then again silence. At no time did she make any effort to at least 'try' to get any of the details that I was looking for before I planned a trip to see the vehicle in person. For a sales person she was the opposite of wanting to sell the car. Her tone was totally lacking any effort to be helpful in any way. It is disappointing that the customer interaction with this dealership was so bad that I felt compelled to write a review.

Wonderful experience

Meg was so helpful and a great person to talk with. Any questions I had she answered them without hesitation. Extremely knowledgeable with every part of the buying process. I can’t say it enough my experience was fantastic!

Used Premium SUVs

I was searching for a used SUV, late model, and they gave me a few options for what they had available. The sales assoc. was very knowledgeable of the inventory and helpful in searching for what I needed.

Helpful and courteous

John, the salesman, and Meg, an owner, were a great help and made the stressful buying process as stress free as possible. John and the rest of the staff never tried to upsell me on a more expensive vehicle. I will recommend to friends and family looking for used vehicles.

WONDERFUL, DEPENDABLE BUSINESS & PEOPLE

I've been doing business with these guys for nearly five years -- bought a few cars, and now that they have a top of the line service department, they do all of the service work we need at very reasonable prices. Shop the new car dealerships all you want, but if you want a reasonably priced like-new vehicle for a fraction of the cost, there's no better place. Thanks Midwest!
