Our experience at Major World was horrible from start to finish. Most importantly: NEVER work with Ismael "Lefty" Cardona. He is the definition... of a sleezy, slick, used car salesman - and incredibly rude to boot. We explained to him that we were looking for a used car that would last for 6 months (anything after that would be a bonus). As we grew frustrated with our experience with him, we told him we were going to leave without buying anything. He then assured us he had the perfect car for us. The car he showed us seemed fine. While we were there, Ismael had it inspected by a supervisor, a mechanic, and put in through a NY State inspection. He continued to assure us everything was fine. Two days later, the battery died on the car. When I called Ismael to express my frustration, he told me I could bring the car in over the next weekend to replace the new battery at no cost. I called the following weekend just to make sure it was an OK time to bring the car in. Ismael said, "Do you want me to tell you the truth? Service is closed on the weekends." He refused to help me by providing any towing services for the car or any willingness to work around our work schedules. He then put the phone on mute, so he could deal with another customer/colleague who was clearly in front of him. At that point, I'd had enough and asked my boyfriend for a pen so that I could take down the name of this jerk's supervisor. Ismael quickly came back on the line, accused me of calling him a "xxxxx," refused to give me his supervisor's name and hung up. When I finally identified and spoke to his supervisor, Jed, I described our experience and expressed my utter disappointment with the whole process. I told Jed that I would prefer to take our car to a shop I trusted - as I did not believe Major World would do right by us. I asked him to comp me a monthly payment (equal to $120 - less than the price I'd been quoted for the cost of a new battery + labor + taxes). He refused. He said he would speak to Ismael about his rudeness - I know he won't. I'm sure when I take this car into the shop I trust, there will be numerous other things wrong with the car. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would - the place, and its employees, are that disgusting.
I just had the worst experience with Major World Service. Dealing with the so called "manager" John, put the cherry on top. I dropped my car... off at 9am and was told by Maikol, who by the way was a must better person to deal with, that I would get a call in 2 hours to give me an update on the items that I need addressed with my car. At 12pm I called them because I didn't hear from them. The receptionist, who is someone else I wouldn't want to deal with, couldn't give me an update and said that the tech would give me a call in an hour because they were just now looking at my car. It's 30 minutes past 1 and I call service again. I called between 1:30pm-3:30pm and no one picked up. I told them that I needed my car by 2pm because I needed to pick up my child from camp. The whole time I'm calling I'm am trying to find other means of transportation to get to my child. Then I had to schelp my daughter back to the dealer to see what was going on with my car. When I arrive I was seeing red and the "manager" whose name is John, asked me what I needed. I admit I was upset and told him that by using the word pissed. Although I was upset I was trying to convey to him why I was so angry. The whole time I am there he is giving me the "I don't give a f$&@k" look. He didn't like too much that I told him that I was the customer and he is the one who is suppose to provide service. He replied by stating "I am not the one.....". I found that totally unacceptable. This is suppose to be a business. It's not the street. Statements like " I'm not the one....... " are made outside by regular folks in a casual setting not in a customer service environment. Totally unprofessional by this "manager". All I wanted was him to hear me out and realize that what major world did was unacceptable. I also wanted him to express a sincere apology and a willingness to help. Instead I get an attitude and a lack of customer service. Dealing with Maikol, who works under him, went smoothly and I highly advise the manager to learn a thing or two from him. I know I have every right to be upset when I have techs and mechanics telling me to talk to his supervisor, even pointing him out so that I can express my frustration. Yes I was angry but as a manager he needs to learn how to deal with the passive aggressive customer as well as the angry ones. The situation could have been totally different if he would have just heard me out and be sincere instead of walking away and telling me he is not the one. Actually, he is the one. He is suppose to be the manager. He is suppose to be the one that needs to hear how I didn't receive an update for my car all day. He needed to hear how I have been calling the office for 2.5 hours straight and no one picking up. He didn't know my situation with my daughter and the need I had for my car to be returned to me or at least someone letting me know what was going on so I could have made better arrangements. My original person I spoke to gave me exactly what I needed, understanding. Why? Because he knew my situation. I was so distracted by the attitude displayed on this managers face that there was no calm way at that time for me to explain to him the trouble I had prior to walking into his office. Shame on him and shame on major world for hiring people who can't deal and let their egos get in the way.
This major world is full of nothing but scam artists and liars. My husband and I back in 2015 leased a Chrysler 200 Limited 2015 and 3 years later our... lease was coming to an end this coming July 2018 so of course we started receiving the offers to trade in the car and get another lease but we were currently closing on an apartment and didn't want to change cars until we absolutely had to in July. We went in to this major world on March 31st 2018 just to look around and see what would be in our price range because we didn't want to increase our monthly expenses and we were yes???d to death and lied to. It started with them wanting to take a look at the Chrysler our current car to which we explained that we wanted to take it in somewhere to buff out any natural scratches especially on the rims of the car which is inevitable to which Sebastian our representative at Major World told us that that was ???not something to worry??? about that they would take a look at the car to assess if they could take the car ???as is???. So with seemingly nothing to lose we show them the Chrysler and Sebastian told us that they were going to take pictures and it took about an hour and a half for them to come back to us and say okay we can take this car we can swap it out no problem and we asked during the seven hours that we were there because of course the paperwork took forever if we were going to get a bill, if we were responsible for anything on the Chrysler, Etc and each time we were told no again that they took the car as is and no worries. About a week ago my husband received a bill from Fusion which is where the Chrysler car came from and we were being charged over $1,000 for excessive wear-and-tear. This included a hole in the back of the car which was not done while we had the car! Of course we went back to major world this past Saturday and asked for clarification and all we were met with from Jeff the manager and Sebastian were incredulous looks and ???what are you talking about that's your responsibility???. We explained and rehashed everything that happened on March 31st to which no one recalled any of those conversations or the handshakes that followed. In the following days no one did what they said they would and they (Sebastian, Jeff and Customer Service Rep. Jennifer) simply led us on in order to run out the clock on our 30 day grace period where we could have returned the new car without a penalty. Plus they lied and said the car was taken to Fusion the next day so April 1st but when we spoke to Fusion we found out they didn???t get the car til the 20th meaning Major World had the car for 20 days. Strongly recommend steering clear of this place. After having this experience I've talked to many people who have leased or bought a car and they've never dealt with anything remotely like this so there are other and better places.
I usually prefer my husband takes the car to do any required service, but this time he couldn't make it, so I took the chance and did it myself. ... To my surprise, this appointment actually went well. They didn't make me wait too long for my appointment, they called me a few hours later with an estimate of my costs, which I then reviewed with my husband. A few hours more later my car was ready for pickup. They didn't try to sell me on other stuff when I picked up my car. I just paid for my work and left. It was all pretty smooth. I wish all my car service experiences were this easy! I can say Major Service was actually a good experience! Thank you!!
service was great professional. they really take care of you. if you have a service issue head that way. my car needed car service bad.
I own a 2016 Dodge Charger purchased at Major Chrysler/Dodge. Took it for oil change and inspection and had no problems with the service Dept. I went... in and spoke to Agi, and he had one of his employees take care of me and my car and had zero issues. I have bought several New cars thru Major and have traded them back for upgrades and have never been treated unfairly.
Went in yesterday to take care of two issues on my car. I was scheduled for 915am and they took my car by 930a.. not bad. They called me by lunch to describe... issues and costs. Everything as expected. My car was ready by day's end. Smooth process, decent pricing, and most importantly, I was in and out same day. Excellent!
The staff was very polite and helpful. The service is always fast. Pricing is alway fair , I wouldn’t go anywhere else for service. The customer lounge... and facility is always pleasant.
Doing business with this company is a disgrace. There is a Financial guy Kenny or so, who is a champion in very poor service and he doesn't know how to... try a client.
This is a place where they lure in people with promises of getting them the best deal. It???s a scam! Buyer beware! The sales managers are awful at helping... customers. There are no amenities such as a waiting room, a snack bar or even clean bathrooms, which is a common practice at other respectable dealerships. They are running a makeshift under their run-down building.
