BEWARE! DO NOT SHOP AT RIVERSIDE CARMAX!
BEWARE! I bought a used Subaru Forester from Carmax in Riverside and after 6 months the car completely died. The cost to fix it was almost the cost to buy and the mechanic said the problems were most likely there when I bought the car. I bought MaxCare but had to cancel it in February due to no job/covid. I begged Hassan to extend the warranty (which I know they've done in the past for people) and they said they couldn't help me and to try Carmax Financing. I called Carmax financing and they said the only thing I could do was ask for them to extend the Carmax Warranty. She didn't see a reason why they couldn't do that due to Covid and everything so she put me on hold and called the Riverside Carmax. She was talking to them for 20 minutes before coming back and saying they wouldn't budge. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS. YOU WILL REGRET IT - LOOK ELSEWHERE!

I did not visit the dealership. We had discussions by telephone, with one of the used car salesman. I think his name is Michael. We did not find the vehicle to suit my specifications. I asked the salesman for a Cadillac XT5 base model or luxury model. Mileage in the low 20,000's if possible. Grey silver or white color. The next day he discovered a whit XT5, 29,000 miles luxury model at $29,000. However it is a 2017 model. Michael said he would call me if the price goes down or something else to my interest comes along.

Megan helped me and was fantastic. She explained everything and made the buying process a great experience. They were fast and didn't try to oversell me on warranties or options.

Great customer service
Although the car we wanted didnt work out, the customer service was excellent. MARCUS is a STAR! He should be in management. I have brought many mercedes in the past. Carmax is turning the tide when it comes to purchasing vehicles. The best thing to do when you buy any car is to take it to another mechanic, and then bring it back to the place to be fixed within the warranty period. The Truck I purchased from them a year ago had a few issues but they did take care of it and I've not have any problems since. Carmax has set the bar high for purchasing returning and anything to do with cars. BRAVO!

PROBLEM WITH COOLANT LEAKAGE
BOUGHT CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. HAD COOLANT LEAK FROM THE DAY WE PURCHASED IT. SERVICE HAD IT TWICE. COULDN'T FIND PROBLEM. TOOK IT BACK PAST SIX MONTHS AFTER OUR LAST VISIT.
