I called Auffenberg Kia because we knew we wanted a 2019 Kia Sorento LX without the convenience package. Living in Memphis, all the 2019 Sorento's in Memphis... included the convenience package which added $2000 (plus sales tax) to the car and we found unnecessary. The offer we got in Memphis was for $22,700 with trade in. We called Auffenberg after some research because they had the cars/features I wanted on their website and we were going to drive through Cape Girardeau in a few weeks. I articulated to them why I didn't want to pay $22,700 and stated that without the convenience package plus the savings in sales tax I was hoping to pay $21,000 out the door. The savings would have been about $2,200 so I figured the dealer would keep about $500 from this. They said they did not have any in stock (website advertising was wrong), however, they did go out of their way to acquire what I was looking for and had it ready to go for the price we said when we drove through town ($21,000 "out the door"). Everything went smoothly at pickup. I was happy enough that I ever gave a gift card to the salesperson to buy dinner as it was the holidays. That was my mistake, I should have paid closer attention. When I went to register my car the following week, I had to pay sales tax. I have in writing from them "we are at $21,000 out the door." All reputable websites I have found (Edumunds, Autotrader, etc) say out the door price includes sales tax. Additionally, when the sales manager articulated the need to get the car registered, paying sales tax never came up. This added $1,970 to the car. To try and rectify my concerns for this I asked them the let me talk to the GM or the Sales Manager several times as I felt they were intentionally misleading. Several weeks have passed and I haven't gotten a call from anyone to discuss these concerns. Overall, I found that Auffenberg Kia were friendly and got the car I wanted, but the omission of sales tax and using "out the door" and "all in" pricing not including sales tax was intentionally misleading looking back. The failure to communicate on this point after several weeks of inquiries to the salesperson is a sign that they do not care. I would not recommend Auffenberg Kia.
They took care of a Kia Maitenance Plan i purchased at a Dealership in Arkansas , that made me not come out of pocket for any costs at all , thanks a Million... rick L
Ashley was a great help in the service dept. She listened to my problem and got someone working in my car right away
This just might be the best KIA dealership in the country. The entire staff is professional, courteous, and super to deal with. Ashley, the service manager... always goes above and beyond to help you out . And all the secretaries are just a joy to visit with. It really is "A great day at Auffenberg KIA"
I went in with a list of wants and Jerry Swan worked with me on it. I couldn't be happier with the way we were treated. Jerry is a super salesman and... he took care of all our wants and needs. I love my Sorento!!
All very nice people!! Theu make as confortable as possible with your payments!
My wife and I were pleased at the consumer reports review on the KIA products. Sadly there was not a rating on the Sportage, the one we chose. There was... a review on the KIA Sorento , and was top rated. I am hoping the same will hold on the Sportage. It seems to be a quality made vehicle. Our sale Rep. was Bryce Ritter. He was friendly, very easy to talk with and deal with and he also introduce us to the service department. Overall a pleasant experience, so far.
My first interactions with auffenberg Kia were very pleasant. My salesman Ernie was very professional, friendly, and made the entire experience much easier... than I expected. He really was wonderful. Unfortunately, the positives ended after they had my money. During each of the three subsequent visits for repairs (It was a fairly new car and have had it for about 6 months so that's concerning on its own), I left upset for a variety of reasons. The most recent visit was the most disheartening because I left feeling treated like I was stupid because I was a woman. To top it all off it was the service manager Nathan who was behaving this way. In addition to the sexiest service manager, the women in the front office need some customer service training because they are far from friendly.
The staff were very professional and through in selling me a new Kia
