The workmanship and customer service I experienced were

The workmanship and customer service I experienced were well below acceptable standards. I would not recommend this dealership based on how this visit was handled from start to finish. I had my vehicle towed to Southtowne Hyundai of Riverdale after a blowout on Hwy 85. I purchased four new tires and was charged for an alignment. Upon leaving, the steering wheel was OFF CENTERED, and the car PULLED TO THE RIGHT. I had to take it to another Hyundai dealership the next day, where the alignment was correctly redone under warranty. I was also charged a HIDEEN FEE of $39 shop fee that was never disclosed in advance, and when I questioned it, the staff became defensive. I even offered my old tires (which still had good tread) to an employee as a courtesy, only to be told by others that I "wasn’t supposed to do that", as if the tires were not my property.

Dave is the worst!

Dave is the worst!!! He doesn’t take pride in providing his customers with transparency and quality car repairs. Instead they mess your car up and take no accountability just lies. Thats why he makes you pay for everything first so when it’s still messed up it’s just your lost. It started with my alternator and oil change his bootleg mechanic didn’t put my tensioner belt on right and didn’t properly plug my oil which caused oil to leak everywhere and damage my serpentine belt. Took it back to fix the belt and front and back breaks he made up an excuse for why he didn’t do the front only did the back and only put two lug nuts in my left front tire and 2 in my right back tire. On my way home from picking up the car I lost control of the car and it veered off the road. It was so scary and my 8 year old daughter is still traumatized. My adventurous little human that was always the first to call shot gun, Is now scared to ride in cars and get anxiety attacks when she does. Smh soon as we got home I called and told Dave he said they are not responsible for tires when it was his mechanic that neglected to put in all the lug nuts after taking them off to do the brakes. The mechanic Jerrell sent a total stranger to my house bout 9 pm with only two lug nuts to put in the back tire he had to take one lug nut from each of my other two tires to put on my front tire that only had two Lug nuts the tire was almost off the car They said the belts were the reason my car was squealing got the belts fix car was still squealing and now smoking. I pulled the car over to call him he said it’s just the oil that had leaked out from the oil leak the same old oil I payed him $50 to pressure wash off. He put a new belt on with same old oil that caused the belt to go bad in the first place. After realizing nothing is being fixed and all the damage was being done by them I asked for an invoice of all parts and labor he actually refused his mechanic left his diagnostic machine plugged in my car and it read turbo booster /supercharge but they never mentioned that not one time. He refused to give me an invoice for all parts and labor so if the car is still squealing and smoking what proof do I have to show it’s really been fixed. They would never even put a new oil change sticker on it, that lets me know the date and time it was done and when my next oil change is due. When I asked how am I supposed to know when I’m due for my next oil change he said give it a couple of months or so I didn’t understand that at all. He was very rude and irate when I told him that my car still isn’t fixed even after I paid them to fix everything that they said was wrong. I expressed to him that I felt they were taking advantage of me because I am a women that doesn’t know anything about cars and I’m solely depending on them to diagnose and fix the problem. He fussed at me and treated me like a dog like I didn’t matter After finding out I left a bad review on the 12 of March and that his mechanic left his diagnostic machine plugged in my car he demanded me to bring it back as if I stole it.Soon as I noticed it I told him it was left in the car and that I would bring it when I came in later to make my payment and pick up all my invoices. He said ok and 30minutes later he went and repoed my car the payment was due on the 16 which was on a Sunday I called him early Monday morning and told him I would b in later after I get off work around 1. I told him I had to catch a uber from my job in peach tree city to my house in Fairburn where the car was parked in my driveway to get his diagnostic machine and than another uber all the way to him on riverdale rd mainly to do the honorable thing and give it back even though it was left in there and I was pissed with him and soon as I noticed it I let him know. He’s not an honorable person so he doesn’t respect that type of stuff. They depleted me of all my funds with no proof of ever fixing it. And repoed it cause I demanded proof

Terrible car repair service.

Terrible car repair service. Did not address my issue or listen to my suggestion and $800.00 later problem not fixed. Pretty sure there excuse was a lie. Every other diagnostics test showed 2 emission faults including there's 1 year earlier but they said that didn't show on there computer and that they fixed the fault that did. Now they want to keep the car for 2 weeks and change a bunch of gaskets hoping 1 of them is the issue. I told them there is a known test to diagnose precisely where the issue is. They know nothing about they said they are experts and know what they are doing. Clearly they are not. I was told they are crooks I should have listened.

Consumer response

I don't know how we can come to reasonable win/win solution. I feel my initial information concerning what your dealership suggested was not listened. That being a special test to precisely diagnose where the vacuum leak was. They said it was necessary to not have to just replacing parts until we get the right one. You said the emission faults did not show on your computer when I have paperwork from your dealership last year showing it does. Now $866.00 I'm still where we started and your suggestion is to let you keep the car for 2 weeks so you can change gaskets(?) from the front of the car to the back is how it was explained to me. I rented a car for 1 week expecting the test and fixed to take time as was told the your previous service manager last year. You said you was not aware of the test I was unable to articulate properly but you have all new staff and experts now. I said initially priority was to pass emission test. You told me the problem was fixed and talk me into spending an additional $500.00 for something that subjectively may become an issue. Me being naive trusted you and spent the extra money. I should have known better since you also said I would need new wiper blades within the month when I just bought new ones 2 weeks prior. So what do you suggest or willing to do for the waisted time and money on car rental and repairs that didn't solve my main and very critical reason for coming to you a dealership knowing you are more expensive but I thought you could at least resolve my issue. I gave a good score for the work done on the parts replaced but everything else including diagnostics was terrible in my humble opinion. Sincerely, Regretful consumer P.S You have my number and email I await your suggestion. Telling me your computer did not show those faults is unacceptable considering every test over the last year did. At least 6 or 7. At best that's saying your equipment is defective or technician error or at worst you are just not telling the truth. I can't prove it one way or another but you and God knows the truth. Hey how about a partial refund? I think that would be the fairest and up right thing to do since you did not provide the service (clear emission) that you said you did when I paid and picked up the car. That is a fact.

Let me first say I welcome this dealership to rebut

Let me first say I welcome this dealership to rebut anything I say here. I visited this dealership, test drove a vehicle, worked through an agreeable offer that they put on paper and I signed with Tabias their “manager”. He did their store celebration chant and told me they are not only my dealership today but for life. All sounds reasonable. I had secured my own financing through BOA but after an hour of waiting they told me their computer can’t pull BOA. I know Bank of America is an unknown bank(sarcasm) So I agreed for them to run credit and see what they can do for financing. Another 45 minutes goes by and they come back with a better rate than I already had so all seems good. It wasn’t much, but something. Then another 30 minutes for them to get “paperwork” done and if you’re keeping track I am now about 3 hours into my experience. Finally the finance lady comes and get’s me to go over the paperwork in which she tries to slide a run down of cost that is $900 more than that original signed and celebrated agreed upon price. I told the lady this was not was agreed upon and she says she has to talk to the manager. 10 minutes later she comes back and says they can’t agree with that price and the original “manager” is no longer available. Not surprised since I had been there for pretty much the entire work day. So long story short, BUYER BEWARE. This dealership does not care about their customers, their word means nothing, and they will put their interest in front of you. I have purchased many vehicles in my life and I have never experienced something so disrespectful of my time or ethically unprofessional.

Consumer response

Funny that you say you want to find a resolution. The resolution would have been to honor the price we, your manager and I, agreed upon prior to the three hour wait. At this point, I have moved on and purchased another car and will no longer be visiting your dealership and your unethical behaviors.

I should have kept looking.

I should have kept looking. Such a rip off!! Their integrity is lacking. I spoke with Tim, Weldon, Webster and a few others I even went to Corporate. That was fruitless. I was not treated fairly. Its called Karma.

Mr Perry was awesome, pleasant, and courteous.

Mr Perry was awesome, pleasant, and courteous. Mr. Mcgredouder, and Mr Harvey are the best but Dave used cars is very rude, mean, and unprofessional. He talks to a person in the worst way and manner for being one day late and repossess your car. He will not allow you to pay or redeem your vehicle. I will never go there again or recommend anyone to ever get a used car from Dave. He have absolutely no car salesman’s experience. He even calls a person a liar. He takes your deposit and repo the car in 31 days. He’s profiting

I’m waiting for a representative to respond. When I called to redeem my vehicle after being 1-2 days late Mr Dave Phillipson said I need to get an attorney don’t call him. I was 1-2 days late and didn’t make a payment within 30 mins like he ask and he repo the car. Dave leases a building from Southtowne Hyundai company name Carpower. I wouldn’t recommend my enemy to Car Power base on how he treated me, repo the car I one-2 days late. I don’t expect for him to call me or the owner of Southtowne Hyundai to call me to resolve this or show an interest. Those salesman’s, GM Mr Perry and staff works to hard all year round to keep people like myself as a regular customers.

Avoid This Place!!

I recently purchased my Hyundai vehicle in another state and it was time to get an oil change. After making an appointment with this location's service department, I went for my appointment and arrived on time. When I drove up to the service center, no one acknowledged me and I got a really bad feeling in my gut about this place. In addition to a very unwelcoming staff, the service center looked dirty, junky and unkempt. I did not want these people touching my car and I drove off.. I made another appointment based on 4.7 reviews at another Hyndai service department in Marietta. Sometimes its better traveling further to get better service.

Roger from your customer service department must be a

Roger from your customer service department must be a relative of the owner. No way does anyone with such a horrible customer service attitude maintain a job. Car was scheduled for a battery check, brought it in as scheduled from the app and was told the service will require the car to stay overnight and that the appointment needed to be rescheduled. WOW ok maybe someone slipped and didn't catch the details of the service request. Fine, mistakes happen. Brought it in and drop it off the night before so as not to take away from my workday. No calls all morning or afternoon with an update. Get through on the phone at 4pm and was told just because I have the car there overnight does not mean it's been looked at and that I was welcome to come in and wait in line so they can look at it then. WHAT?! So how is it possible the battery gets drained and charged while I am there taking away from my work day to wait for this battery check? What's the purpose of leaving it all day if it's not going to be looked at. I highly suggest the sales people there give a seminar to the service department on how to help and deal with customers in an orderly and respectful fashion. Wish I got the woman's name when I first called about this issue. She was just as snippy and unwilling to be helpful. I was about to recommend this dealership to two friends who will be in the market this fall but I think a research of local dealership service department reviews is in order. I felt so good when buying this 2023 but now that feel good moment is long gone. Your department can take this as a learning lesson and grow their skillset or they should look elsewhere. Seriously, I get better customer service at the local Wendy's. NO DEAL IS WORTH THIS MESS
