This is the second car we have bought at Torch Light Motors. Jeff LaPoff was helpful, up front and informative without the pressure that comes with car sales at some dealerships. The whole process was made simple by the competent staff. Very positive experience.

Real talk….This guy is a shady cars dealer. I bought a car that literally does not drive. I understand buying a lemon but this car is a straight up liability. I’ll say this he did try to fix one issue of the broken air hose vacuum making the engine false start and only after I towed it to his dealer (paying out of my own pocket from brooklyn) because on my way from his dealership the car stalled on me on the BQE.. It was fixed after he sent it to “his guys” but then a week later the car wouldn’t start because of a broken starter and faulty battery connection. Keep in mind I have not have this car for more than two months I kid you not and it has cost me over 2k in towing only. I’m a reasonably guy but I’d say buy at your own risk. Bring a mechanic and stay clear from the sly Jeff Fox salesman because once you buy your car and drive it off his lot you better pray to the dealership car gods that you car is actually working and not a shiny faux automotive vehicle. Terrible experience, I’m in debt because of this car. Do not support this dealership. I’m a real person. And hey Jeff if you’re reading this that “ extended warrantee” you gifted me, no mechanic in brooklyn even accepts. Even warrantees are shady.

Within an hour of driving off the lot our car broke down multiple times on the highway, putting our lives in danger. Jeff LaPoff, the owner said it was not his responsibility, after we pleaded with him, he took the car back. He said he was a certified Volvo expert, but could not repair the car and needed to take it to a Volvo expert. After that we would call multiple times and he would not pick up accept when he called from different numbers, or only after we called an excessive amount. He said the car was fixed, "gifted" us an insurance policy. The car has since broken down multiple times. We contacted him again. He hung up on us and stopped taking our calls. He said he was done with us. The insurance policy is not accepted by most mechanics and does not cover much. I am also in a state of constant anxiety over my safety when I drive this car. I have also experienced a heavy financial burden from all the repairs this car has cost since purchasing it from Jeff. He did not offer to help with those repairs, or cover the towing costs when we had to tow it the day we bought it back to him.

All questions were responded to very quickly and there was no wait time in waiting for emails to be answered. We're excited to be getting out and about in our new used car!!
