Great experience

My family bought two cars from Performance. Great price. Great experience. But, now I can't find them online? I'm ready to look for another possible purchase.

2007 Malibu Maxx

Mark was very nice and accommodating but I guess I expected to get a car that was road ready. Firstly the back seats were seized and I had to pay Mark's recommended mechanic $250 to get them unseized. Then after driving the car for only a week I had a tire blow out on I75. I was told to get all new tires immediately which I did. Another $800. While in the shop I asked about the brakes because they seemed sticky. New rotors and pads front and back and new calipers on the back. Another $1200. Now the radio display isn't functioning. I guess you never know what you are going to get when you buy a used car but I was hoping it would be a better experience than this.

excellent experience

With a couple of phone calls I owned a Honda CRV with low millage and no rust. Mike and my bank worked together well. My car was trucked to me in Michigan from Florida that week. Never any problems. Thank you

Purchased a used Hyundai Sonata

I bought a Hyundai Sonata 2013 from them a couple years ago. It came with a factory warranty that Mark made we aware of. The car ran great for a good while but low and behold the car engine locked up driving in Orlando. Had to get it towed but since I was aware of this issue i got the car fixed for free. Now the car runs better than ever!

Very Bad Experience

Bought a used 2012 Toyota from Mark for my daughter and picked it up in early Feb to drive back to CO. Check engine light came on before I got out of Ft Myers. I called Mark and he said to take it to his mechanic which I did. They took it right in and said "just an old code, we cleared it, you are good to go." I was skeptical but headed to Orlando to pick up my wife and daughter at the airport. The light was back on before I got to Orlando. We visited friends and I headed back to CO with the car a week later. Noticed on the drive back that idling was rough. Got it to my mechanic in CO and turns out an emissions system on top of fuel tank was virtually destroyed. A filter that contains a charcoal core had been impacted. Charcoal was through the lines in the system. $1500 and eight weeks later it looks like we have it straightened out. From what I can see Mark got the car from Car Max. My guess is Car Max saw the issues and didn't want to pass the car on knowing the buyer would have big issues. I'm a retired pastor so I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but it seems Mark had no problem passing the car (and problems) on to someone else. Be careful with this guy.

Wow! One star and we were never contacted regarding this problem. How can we help if we were not aware. If the mechanic at an outside shop said it was good to go, how is it that we are responsible and get this negative review? If you feel Carmax was hesitant to sell - why would they sell at auction? We are truly sorry for your experience but wish you would have contacted us first. This affects our business and how we feed our families, we would NEVER knowingly sell something that is not correct. And to besmirch our name is disheartening.

Awesome place to buy a car

I just purchased my second car from Performance Autos, and could not be happier. Mark, Mike, and everyone else there is super nice and friendly. The car was exactly as described online. I could not be happier with the entire experience. I highly recommend them, and would encourage all of my friends that are looking for a good quality used car to go to Performance Autos first.

Not such a good experience this time

Been there before as I have 4 kids and when one starts driving we start looking for a good used vehicle for them. Well, Mark I have to say has always been nice - no pressure sales guy. This time for some reason we ended up working with Mike. Not a great experiece. Because we came back a second time around to re-look at 2 of the cars (and we did not buy) I could tell he was mad about it. People look (although) I guess I'm just the exception because he claims when people come back a second time they buy.

2001 Sebring Limited

Bought a 2001 Sebring Limited to be my Florida Car when I'm down to my house in Ft Myers. The car is running great so far and it looks like brand new. I put 1100 miles on it in a few weeks and not a single issue. If you're looking for a quality pre-owned car, go see the guys at Performance Autos of SW Florida.

VERY HELPFUL AND INFORMED

I'm still in the process of possibly making a purchase, but feel they deserve a BIG star for what they've done thus far! In dealings with all auto dealers in the past (and I've dealt with several!), never have I had one who has been so helpful and informed about the vehicle. They deserve a big congratulations for being so honest and helpful to someone who was unsure in speaking to a dealer! Very down-home and old-time honesty is so difficult to find anymore!
