Took a 2005 Ford vehicle for service and a recall. Walt look at the car and commented on repairs, how they would be subcontracted and the duration. The wife and I agreed to their subcontracting for the body work (paint) and nick in windshield. Walt suggested I contact my insurance company to pay for the nick repair on the windshield and then contact him for confirmation. I did as suggested and when I called the service dept. Chris answered the phone and I explained who I was and why I was calling. He replied that they don'y do that and that the window would have to be replaced. I asked for Walt who told me he heard our conversation and that Chris was right, I asked him why he told us differently to which he recanted. So I called the GM, Hugh Highsmith, the first question he asked me was "Did you buy your car from us?" to which I replied "no" he then said he would see about the windshield issue and call me back. About five minutes later I did get the return call and was told by Hugh Highsmith that he was obligated to fix the recall but other that that I could come and get the car. When I arrived I went to talk to Hugh, he told me "I don't care to here it and the best thing you can is get your car and leave because I don't want your business". I left and want to make sure that it's well know this is just as it seems a car dealer that really only cares about his interest and not the customer.
