poor experience
Bought a car with a check engine light. I was ok with the light as long as it wasn't a misfire. As soon as I got it home it showed misfire. I took it back because they said they would look into it. After they had the car for over 8 hours I called and they said there was no check engine light or a current misfire. No exaggeration, I drove it home in less than 100 feet from the dealership the check engine light came on with a misfire code. I wish I would have read reviews prior to buying here.

Poor customer service
We have purchased 2 vehicles from this dealer , and did buy the extended warranty with the last purchase, did not get any info on that warranty we purchased, was told by dealer it was $100 deductible & you can take car to manufacture dealer for work. So after having our vehicle a year we started to have a issue with the actuator on the heat & a/c system. So we took it in to service department of a large dealership and then was told our warranty did not cover this issue. So we then went back in to Southern Trust and spoke to Mark the manager, about the crappy warranty they sold and that we will never purchase a car from them again. Mark the manager, then sent us over to the mechanics they use to fix the cars on the lot, and said if we purchased the part , he would cover the cost of labor. So once we got our vehicle fixed at the mechanics that Mark sent us to , went to pick up after work was done, we were told mark would NOT cover labor! So do not believe anything promised to you as a customer. So be very wary of Southern Trust Auto, they will not service you after they get their money!

The car is great, but once they had my money I guess I no longer mattered. In my many car purchases the tag and title was always included in the loan and so I was quite surprised after I left the dealership with my car to find out that I would have to pay that fee to the dealership. They had the tag mailed to them, I was never contacted by anyone from Southern Trust that the tag was in. A few days from the expiration of my temporary tag I attempted to contact Jeff by e-mail to find out where the tag was. He did text me back to tell me he was on vacation and for me to call the dealership directly. When I called they said the tag was there. If I had been contacted (they had my e-mail address, phone number and address) when they first received the tag then I could have mailed them the payment and they could have mailed me my tag instead I had to drive 60 miles round trip. I don't know if they treat everyone this way, or maybe because I am an older woman by myself they didn't think I mattered. I just want to be treated with dignity and respect. No one ever apologized for not calling me or the inconvenience of having to drive to North Fort Myers from Naples because they failed to call me. Also the fact I was not informed of the additional cost when I purchased the car is worrisome. They need to work on their communication and follow-up with the customer.

Southern Girl I did follow up after the sale with an email to say thank you for your business and to be safe in your new car as for the tag work you signed a form in our business office about the tag fee and it would be C O D and you would pay that when the paper work at the D M V was completed by our office Manager I am sorry you did not get the message from her as she is the one that handles our tag work and contacts our customers to let them know it is in and the fee at that time you could have paid for it over the phone with a credit card and she would have mailed it to you I do apologize to you but there are certain things that are out of my control.
