My wife and I went in looking for a used Honda, specially a Civic I saw advertised online. Our saleswoman, Elise, was super friendly and didn’t try to... push us into a car we didn’t want. From arriving on the lot to driving away, we spent 2.5 hours and enjoyed ourselves. Everyone was nice there, would definitely recommend!
First of all they will not call you back second they wouldn't haggle made a offer of $16k cash on a SUV that was advertised as 19k then they come back... with saying the same SUV was $22.8k that they sold the $19k one but it was the same SUV I know I checked the vin number then i asked to speak to the General manager Kent locklear so they got mad and told me so I tried to call back to speak to Mr Kent but they wouldn't let me I never got rude or disrespectful however I will be contacting the local news station so my story will be heard
Lumberton is the prime example of stealership 101. Doesnt negotiate on the value of the vehicle, DOC fee is $900 which the state average is $500. Being... told multiple times, x,y,z will call you etc and they don't. They still haven't told me the cost of the extended warranty and I asked Saturday, it is now past the end of their business hours on Tuesday. When they told me the price they first said the one online is only good if you finance through them or its $1,000 on top of the listed price, not to mention that absurd DOC fee of $900 they won't negotiate on, but who cares cause they don't negotiate on the price of the vehicle itself either. Save yourself your time/money and buy from literally anywhere else. Price drive out is A B C = X, well that's not your best price, go work on that price or doc fee, "that's the best price" WHAT A JOKE
Do Not Go Here! I was told to leave because they do not negotiate prices. 03/17/19. Ethan was my salesman. I came to Lumberton Honda bc of the deals they... had on their website. They didn't have any of the vehicles on their lot. Didn't have prices on vehicles. Didn't know the prices of vehicles. Didn't want to tell me prices. Wanted to constantly run my credit. Why would you run my credit if I hadn't found a car? Told me he was the top seller and could get me into any car for $200 a month. I asked how that was possible if he didn't know the prices of the vehicles and if that was the case I want a brand new 2019 car. When we got back to reality, we did drive a Hyundai Elantra it had 40g miles on it and cig burns on the seats and the back doors looked like someone gauged out the sides with a knife. So we walked back inside to see the price of the car, bc obviously we didn't know the price when we drove it and it was 13,998. I said oh no can you a least go down a thousand bc the car had so much damage, he said no. Then he said, after I asked him again, he would check with the finance manager. Came back and said they don't bring down prices of vehicles. And I stated to him that I came there with the intentions of buying a car. Was he trying to sell a car to me or not? He told me he didn't need to sell me a car because he sold 2 cars that day. I asked if he was going to see if he could bring down the price or not? He said no, and are we going to buy that car at the price of 13998, I said no we were not. He then told me that I could go ahead and leave. I asked him if he really just told me to leave and he said yeah and got up and walked away. So we walked outside. I realized that I had the guys phone, I thought it was my friends and picked it off the table, I walked back inside where Ethan was helping another customer and gave him his phone and told him to have a blessed day. Walked to the truck and drove the Lee Hyundai where I bought a 2018 Hyundai Elantra with a huge cash deposit, drove off the lot at 8pm, after they took $1600 off the car. My car has everything included and was so happy and my payment is low, also I didn't have to pay $1800 admin fee which is what Lumberton Honda charges. Called lumberton Honda, spoke to the sales manager and told them about my experience. Was told that the finance manager tried to come out to talk to us but we drove off real quick. Wasn't possible because I walked back inside after we left to give Ethan his phone. Strapped a baby in the car seat and then drove off. Moral of the story, if they false advertise on their website, dont have prices on their cars; they probably are no better than a buy here, pay here. Never will do business in Lumberton dealerships again.
My daughter was looking for a reliable used car and wanted to trade her car as a down payment. The saleman showed her a 2013 white Toyota Camry XLE with... over 82000 miles. When what the price was I thought he said $13000 but he wasn't sure but his manager told him to show her the Camry. After the tedt drive he brought the paper work on car showing the price $16000 , $3100 for her car plus a $1000 down and tax etc. and she would be financing approximately $14000 and the monthly payments would be $474. I thought he said the car was $13000 but he said it was a 2013 and he never said what the price was and he didn't know what the interest rate was. So she did not buy the car and the reason being. They advertised the car on their website and Cargurus for $12997. So they actually jacked up the price of the car by approximately $3100 so they wasn't giving her anything for her car and wanted her to give them a $1000. Shame on you Lumberton Honda.

Clifton Oates was my sales representative, he was very kind, nice, and very knowledgeable about all the information I needed to know. He worked hard to... negotiate a deal for me that suited my needs. I gave him a figure for a payment and after several back and forths with the staff who work out the payments were finally able to reach the payment I could afford. I could not be any happier about my decision and Mr. Oates and the staff associated with my lease were exceptional. The brief encounter I had with Mr. Oates manager was a pleasant experience and I have no doubt that Honda will stand behind all that has been promised. The safety features and extras are fabulous, I am looking forward to driving my new car. Clifton Oates is a terrific salesman, Lumberton Honda should be proud that he is on their staff, he's not pushy in any way, he is mild and well mannered, very knowledgeable and my entire experience with him couldn't have been any better!!
Wanted to trade 2012 fusion with low miles. Looked at several cars but everything I like got turned down they said they would loose money on these trades???... AFTER 4 Hrs of waiting they offered to get me in a Honda for $ 664.00 a month for 72 months!!!! Who can afford that? That's $ 47,808 for a car that listed at 26,000. What a waste of time. Everybody rides is there slogan. What a joke
