Abeloff Nissan Nissan

Abeloff Nissan Nissan dealer Bartonsville PLACE DETAILS Photo of Laurel C Laurel C just now This is the only review I have ever written. I am doing it because women are unsafe here. Abeloff Nissan tries to nickel and dime customers and force you to spend money that is unwarranted. Abeloff dealership forced me to buy windshield wipers in 2021 or they said they would fail my inspection. The wipers were fine, but I went along with it or else I would have had to pay again for the inspection. $40 for wipers. They tried to get me to change the air filters, too, even though they were brand new (I had replaced them myself just beforehand). Tim Mylan, service person, had the audacity to drag me to the garage and show me the (brand new) filter and claim it was in terrible shape and needed to be replaced. No shame whatsoever. I returned to Abeloff Dealership 5000 miles later, one pandemic year, because my car needed an inspection and oil change and I had pre-purchased the oil changes. Again, after waiting almost two hours, Mylan informed me that Abeloff would fail my car's inspection if I did not replace the windshield wipers! When I told him he demanded the exact same thing just a year prior (5000 miles), he looked surprised and said "I did?". I objected this second time and asked him to show me the problem. There was absolutely no problem with the wipers. I again objected. I believe Abeloff was trying to force me to spend more money and they treated me like I didn't understand what they were doing. Women are not safe here. In fact, while I was discussing this issue with the manager, a service person, Scott Prue, who had nothing to do with this and was not waiting on me, felt the strong need to chime in and shout at me. I said Abeloff would not treat me in this manner if I were not a woman. Scott Prue roughly informed me that since the manager was a woman, I couldn't use the "woman card." Women are not safe here. When I asked for his name, he pointed his finger at me and said "I don't give a xxxx about my job!" and then threatened me saying he would come at me. No one did anything about it or said it was inappropriate. I genuinely feared for my safety. Again, women are unsafe at Abeloff dealership. When I explained in detail the issue about the brand new air filter that Mylan tried to convince me was in need of replacement, the manager, Leeann Krauss, also threatened me and said that she would call the police to "report me" if I continued speaking about Abeloff. She just kept repeating that she would call the police to arrest me if I spoke again at all. I don't know what for, but if a manager at Abeloff dealership says she is calling the police on you for speaking, you are vulnerable and at risk. Women are not safe here. They nickel and dime you. They threaten women who challenge bogus charges. STAY AWAY! Go anywhere else.

They sold me a car with mechanical failures on my sunroof and tried to blame it on me. Charged me $95 to tell me nothing I didn’t already know. Horrible customer service I recommend no one to do anything here. John is cool though.

Dealer response

We're sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with your vehicle and believe you've spoken with our General Sales Manager and Service Manager about it. We'd like to help you get the sunroof repaired and operational.

I went out of my way to get a competing offer to purchase a new 2022 frontier. Although the people in general were friendly and polite the whole experience was nothing but depressing. The light conversation that usually accompanies the process was MIA and the whole thing took forever. It shouldn't take close to 2 hours from time in the door to get to a look at some numbers. I'm not new to this game so i very well knew the value of my trade. After all that time they started with an offer half the true "trade in" value. I made that point more than clear. I immediately said we were done and asked for the key to my truck back. After an "extended" time the salesman did return with the manager or whoever it was and the key. The manager introduced himself, asked me what i expected and then started into a diatrone why my truck was worth less than if I junked it. I cut him off and said this is not a discussion, we are done, grabbed my key and politely shook his hand and said good day. He didn't even offer any pleasantries just got up and walked away. Side note: The 2022 had damage on the back bumper. The salesman said they would need to fix it and that 7 of the vehicles in the delivery were damaged. One is beyond to many, seven is unheard of. It makes me ponder if I didnt see and point it out if I would be blamed since the salesman did not go on the test drive. BUYER BEWARE KNOW THE TRUE VALUE OF YOUR TRADE IN BE SURE TO LOOK THE VEHICLE OVER CAREFULLY FOR DAMAGE BEFORE TAKING A TEST DRIVE

Absolutely no customer service. Was buying a used car, already chosen and test driven. After 4 hours, they still couldn't get the paperwork ready!

Needed a car door.

The salesman did a great job and even though I didn't buy the car I was interested in, it was because the salesman had the integrity not to sell it to me as soon as he learned there was a transmission issue with it. The honesty was refreshing.

Dealer response

My car was at the garage for a month to be repaired and my husband left several messages for the manager Kevin and Scott, it's been several days with no return phone calls. So now I guess you can read what my husband wanted. We did not appreciate when we picked up my vehicle that it was INFESTED WITH MICE!

Had a horrible experience with Abeloff Nissan Service Center in Bartonsville. Brought in my Nissan Altima due to slight crackling and popping under the hood. $3,000 later they returned my car back to me in worst shape. The motor was loud and bucked when put into gear. Further work on it did not fix it. Finding another mechanic to undo what they did or at least, find out what they over looked. Save your money... go somewhere else.
