Awesome Dealership - Sales & Service

Banister Nissan of Norfolk is WONDERFUL! I am sitting in the showroom waiting on an oil change for the SECOND 370Z which I have purchased from Jean. I love the dealership, love Jean, and love both 370's that I have purchased. Salesman Jean (Castel) & Owner Loyalty Manager Angie (Freeman) are the finest folks with whom I have ever had the pleasure dealing. They never forget you and are just so kind and pleasant. And the Service Department is great too - they take GREAT care of me too. The entire organization at Banister Nissan of Norfolk are like a family and NEVER fail to make me feel welcome into their world. I just love 'em all there!

Both sales and service are bad at this location.

Both sales and service are bad at this location. I Purchased a vehicle 10months ago and noticed an issue. I did take it to service team they are not able to figure out the issue for almost 9months and now they figured it’s a manufacturing issue related to some airbag component.They ordered a part and don’t know how long it will take to deliver and to fix the issue. After 4 months in of purchasing the car I had to tow my vehicle to dealer ship and they had to replace the battery. I have a bad feeling from the day one of the purchase that the. Hold quality of the vehicle and also the service will be bad. Not sure why I purchased this vehicle especially at this location. I regret it every day and a lesson learned. I hope my review helps some one if they read before purchasing a Nissan vehicle and also avoid going to banister dealership. Working with them smoothly is almost impossible be it sales or service.

I had a good experience at the dealership, the sales rep was professional and represented Banister well. The only regret I had was not able to make a deal.

Experience at Banister Nissan Norfolk

My experience at Banister Nissan Norfolk was a very positive one. It began with a very warm welcome from Mr. Hegg, the General Manger. Upon learning we were there to look for a first car for my grandson, Mr. Hegg engaged in a conversation with him which was appreciated. He then introduced us to Mr. Porter, the salesperson. Mr. Porter was great. He was very patient, attentive and understanding. He answered all questions with clarity frequently asking if we had further questions. My grandson is tall and Mr. Porter, wanting the best fit for him, had my grandson sit in several cars until the right fit was found. A car was decided on, one that was not only comfortable but fun to drive. Mr. Porter took the time to discuss to the importance of adhering to the maintenance schedule, set up his first appointment and took him on a tour of the service department. He discussed the need for safe driving and reviewed the safety and technology features in the car. Mr. Hegg, Mr. Porter, Mr. Swan (Finance Manager) were great and provided my daughter, grandson and myself a very memorable experience.

Nissan Tried To Rob Me

My Nissan was towed to the Norfolk banister location June 2nd . I was told I needed a control arm and a front end assembly. Which would cost $2227 . Insurance adjuster takes a look at the car & tells me that I don’t need a control arm I only need my axle fixed . & the axle should only cost about $1000. I get a hold of sean from Nissan 2 days later for him to verify oh yea the total is 1370 . Because the diagnostic is $170 I asked $170 just to tell me what’s wrong ? He said yes . But he DID NOT tell me why he told me a price of $2227 at first ! When I first asked how much would repairs cost so I said okay I’ll just pay out of pocket can you go ahead and fix my car .. he said he has to wait for the insurance adjuster even tho I told him to just go ahead and perform the work because the insurance company denied me . This was on June 13th It’s June 16th I haven’t heard anything back about my car I’m scared I don’t trust the price I don’t know if it’s accurate I’m disappointed Nissan would try to take advantage of me & take a whole $1200 extra for something I don’t even need repaired . it’s all just so much if someone could get back with me I would appreciate it . My car is still currently at Nissan my name is Melniekque Spain

Clayton Porter's attitude towards us changed when the car

Clayton Porter's attitude towards us changed when the car we were looking for went from a brand new pickup truck to a used cheap sedan. The first time we went there, looking at trucks, he was so nice, always smiling, and helpful. The second time, when we came back, he greeted us with such wide and open arms, big smile, and said, "Welcome back!!!!" He was good take us to see the trucks we were looking at before but we told him our budgets changed, that we decided to go with a used car. His whole aura changed. We were on his desk, he wasn't smiling anymore. He was fidgeting with his hands, looking around, as if he couldn't wait for us to leave. He kept letting out big sighs. He was just so bad and rude. We left and went to another dealership. We've never felt so disrespected.
