Service department will lie to you

Sitting on my warranty repair for over a week. Promised it in 4 days, now it may be more than two weeks. “The mechanic is busy with a big rebuild.” What? So you idiots only have one mechanic?! They claim every chevy dealer around is backed up and would take just as long. Called chevy dealer in Decatur. They can have it done in a day. Landers McLarty are lying jerks. Stay away!!

I'm very sorry you are unhappy with us. It's always best to schedule an appt. for work of that nature. We told you the day you dropped it off it would be a few days before we could diagnose it. On 6-9-21 we ordered the necessary parts that were covered by GM Powertrain Warranty. We received the parts on 6-14-21 and told you then that it would be done by the end of the week. We never told you anything that wasn't true. We can't control outside sources that furnish the parts for repairs. We also explained that because of the inventory shortage, General Motors has suspended the Loaner programs at all dealerships. We also have Lynn Layton customers and other area dealership custoemrs calling us asking if we can help them out. We all are short handed just like every other business is right now. We are trying to remedy that. We don't just have one mechanic but all of our mechanics are not trained to work on every part of vehicles. They have their own specialties that they work on. Again, I'm very sorry you are upset with us but we were up front with you when you came in when to expect the repairs to be done.


New car purchase

I came to look at new cars and the purchasing process was seamless. Everyone was very nice and helpful.


used car purchase

Did not cover my 23-year-old grandson on everything he needed to know like he would be paying 26.4 percent interest and double the amount after financing on a Camry. Nicolle and her husband run the place, be very cautious.

Yes ma'am he was fully aware of the interest rate. You have given us a bad review everywhere because we could not discuss his deal with you but that's not to say that we didn't discuss it with him. Everything was discussed with him thoroughly. He apologized to us because of your behavior when you were here when you were making circles in the lot and shooting everyone birds and cussing everyone and for writing bad reviews about us. I'm sorry but we still cannot discuss his deal with you because of Privacy Laws. Your grandson was happy with his deal and he knew what the rate of interest was and is happy with his purchase. We do not have anything to do with the interest rates the banks give us.

Worst used car experience I’ve ever had.

I would like to start off by saying that the two salesmen, Matt and Glenn that I dealt with, did a wonderful job and were helpful. I bought a truck on a Monday. I couldn’t pick it up until Tuesday due to it having a list of repairs that hadn’t been completed yet, which wasn’t a big deal to me. The problem is, Wednesday the transmission started slipping in and out of overdrive. I talked with Matt and Glenn. Glenn talked to his manager, who said all repairs were fixed and there were no issues with the truck when it was sold. I was told that they would look at the transmission but that I would be responsible for repairs. I bought the truck and within 100 miles, the transmission was already slipping. I carried it to my local mechanic who said the truck needs a new transmission. So now I have a truck that I’ve had less than a week and I’m going to have to put a transmission in, with no help from Landers Mclarty Chevrolet. I’ve had better dealings with small local car lots than I did with Landers. From now on, I’ll be carrying my money elsewhere.


Dissatisfied and disappointed

Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Left my truck for 2 weeks to do a clay bar and polish, first week, not even a email or call of the status when they promised only one week. I gave the benefits of the doubt and waited. Next week got called, Tuesday that they were working and waiting parts. When got there Thursday. They never touched, didn't do anything, truck was filthy and with all the parts(the most needed for the job inside). Not fair at all when I got there the shop was empty and all they guys sitting around. If they at least were started with the hood, or a door or anything, I would just leave it, but 9 days and nothing, not even a sticker was pealed, was really disappointing.
