New Hyundai buyers in north Louisiana beware!
Caution Monroe, LA car buyers– 12 weeks to repair an engine! On July 19th, while traveling in Louisiana, the engine failed in my 2013 Hyundai Tucson. It had under 100K miles and one owner, I was confident this would be covered under the warranty and had it towed to Interstate Hyundai. It took them A WEEK, and me having to go in person, to find out the engine failed (something I told them day 1). They quoted me prices to repair. I had to tell them to contact Hyundai, as it should be covered. Fast forward 3 WEEKS, the dealership FINALLY got all the information Hyundai needed to determine this was covered and provide me a rental (I had to get Hyundai Motors involved). It then took another 9 WEEKS for them to complete the repair with little to no communication. I worked around dealerships for a large part of my career and dealt with at least 100 dealerships. In my opinion, Interstate Hyundai has a poorly run service department. If you buy a Hyundai in the Monroe area and want it serviced, I fear you will have to drive to other cities (Jackson, Shreveport, Alexandria) to get competent service from a Hyundai Certified dealer.

Review of Hyundai dealership in West Monroe
Robert was energetic, friendly, very informative (he knows his cars that he is selling from top to bottom). Robert made my test drive a lot of fun. The only bad experience was with the financial guy. He was rude to my husband and I and gave us the silent treatment when my husband did not want to purchase the extra insurance coverage for repairs like door dings , etc that normal car insurance doesn’t cover. We did finally purchase (at MY request) it because I am buying the most expensive car on the lot (Palisade Calligraphy). My husband doesn’t like to be pressured from a salesman! Afterall, we paid CASH for the car! No loan! For this reason is why I did not give a 5 star rating!!! I have not had any repairs as my car is new so I cannot give a true rating for repairs yet!

After tons of questions by me and the staff patiently dealing with my boldness in what I wanted, my purchase is done and I am well pleased. Although I hope I never have to see them for repairs, I feel confident that they will all make me feel right at home for whatever I am there for. Let me add, I had a deal worked out with a dealer in Arkansas that I was well pleased with and the staff at Interstate Dodge told me they would earn my business over them and they did. Go see them and give them a chance to earn your business too.
Enjoyed the whole crew there at Interstate. Very nice group and cordial. Purchased a new car for my daughter. And they worked with me to get her in a car that exceeded my expectations. Great team from the top down. Ask for Chad if you go looking for a vehicle.
