I came in the dealership on Saturday and found a car that

I came in the dealership on Saturday and found a car that I was very interested in. I have been looking for a while. It was the 2023 Cadillac XT5. The price sticker on the window said $35,572.00. I told the salesman Brian I was interested in the car. He did tell me later on that the car had been missed priced that the website had it listed at $ 37,522, but he had spoken with his manager and the sticker price would be honored. It was already almost 7:00 Saturday evening and I did not want to keep Brian there late. I told him I like to research what I am buying and would call him first thing Monday and let him know what I had decided. I called him Monday and told him I wanted the car. He told me he was off so I said I hate to bother you on your day off, but I want the car and will go online and start the borrowing process. Something went wrong on the application, I called the office a couple of times and asked to speak to financing. I left a voicemail and never received a call back. Brian called the next day and I told him the issue I had and he sent me a new link which worked or so I thought. The finance guy called and said there system wasn't working correctly and he would have to take my information over the phone. I get another call from the sales manager saying the price I was told more than once would be honored is no longer being honored due to incorrect information. He told me they were raising the online price to $39,522 (which is over the kelly bluebook value ), but would still let me have it for the $37,522 price. I know the price difference is only $1,567 from what we started out with at the $35,955 window sticker, but it is the principal of the matter. Kenny offered to give me an extra $1,000 for my traded in to get the cost back down, which leaves me owing a little over $500 more than was quoted on the deal sheet that had been printed out on Saturday. I really like the car and can deal with the $500 difference, but knowing dealership is not honoring things they told me makes me concerned about the continuing business. I was also told several times if I make the purchase the car could be brought to me, then was told no we cannot do that. Then they told me I needed to put $2,000 down over the phone on a credit card to hold the car for when I was ready to pick on Saturday or it would be sold to anyone else that was interested. Even though I had been approved with excellent credit. At that point I was done. What horrible service!

It's been about 6 weeks since I purchased a Cadillac

It's been about 6 weeks since I purchased a Cadillac Escalade from Knoxville. I have waited to post a review to see if I felt any different after some time had passed. I will say the purchase transaction was easy and great. The delivery process was 100% terrible and to this day I have not been taken care of. The car was so dirty when I was suppose to have taken delivery and a couple of wheels were scuffed which was pointed out the week prior to delivery. They had plenty of time to clean the car and correct a couple of issues which had been agreed to with Russ "General Manager". He even shook my hand and admitted they had dropped the ball. He took care of me on the cleanliness of the Cadillac and said he would just order new wheels. He said they would be in on Thursday. I took delivery on Saturday. He also said he would drive to Chattanooga to pick the Cadillac up to take care of the few things. I received a call and stated they wanted to come pick the car up. I asked if the wheels were in and the gentleman said yes. They came to pick up and kept the car for 4 days. When they brought the car back, no new wheels. They had been fixed. I called and spoke with Kenny. Kenny lied to me upfront and said they had damaged the new wheels and had to have them corrected which took longer to get back to me. He said he would have to check and call me back. Two days later I had to call him and he apologized that they actually made a mistake and the new wheels were there and that he would come pick the car up. I emailed Russ with my displeasure with no return email. At this point I did not trust them to drive 2 hours one way to pick my car up, replace the wheels and bring it back to me after all of the lying and delays. To this day I have not heard from Russ. As a GM and the one that shook my hand and promised he would take car of me, his word is nothing.

Took my 2013 srx in due to a abs light on with also a power steering warning light on. The stabilitrac warning light was also on. Robert from the service department called the next day and told me the codes had been analyzed and the car needed EBCM GMPART 20842710. Robert also went on to tell me that the part was obsolete and could not be located at any dealer anywhere. He said the only option he could offer is for me to find the part in the aftermarket and bring it in and they would program and install it for $949.95+ tax.when I asked why the part was obsolete he said they started doing that with parts for cars 10 yrs or older. When I started looking for the part I found it was used on model years 2011-2016. 2016 is not 10 years old. After looking over the weekend I only found the part at junk yards and the pricing was excessive. I decided to pick the vehicle up and keep searching for the part so I could take it in to be programmed and installed. I was surprised to find that they were charging me $174 for diagnostics to tell me they could not fix it due the fact that GM discontinued carrying the part. Robert said it was because the tech had to spend the time on it trying to program it. How is it my fault that GM does not sell the part any longer needed to fix the problem. I had to pay the fee in order to get the keys to my car. I hope the $174 helps CADILLAC OF KNOXVILLE more than it would have helped me. I would never charge anyone for trying to repair their vehicle and not being successful when the reason was because the part was discontinued by the company that produced that vehicle.
