Dishonest is the best way I can describe this dealership. I recently purchased a brand new car and was told It was required by Kia to purchase their Val pro and film pro warranty. It’s warranty included wrapping your car. After I got my car back from the wrap it looked horrible and I said I wanted it removed and a refund and the general manager stated he would remove the wrap void the warranty and refused a refund. After calling Kia they assured me none of their optional products are required. Guess I’ll have to be taking this one to court.

I was at this store to drop off my car, a hyunday, as it had a problem. Initially we were told that we would have to wait 40 to 50 minutes for a procedure that needed to be done. I waited an entire afternoon, more than 2 hours waiting. With 5 minutes left for the store to close, the clerk informed us that our car would not be ready that day. And therein lies the problem. I live almost 2 hours from Iowa City and I found the way I was treated extremely disrespectful. They work on it every day. Could it be that employees have no idea of their own work time? Could it be that with at least 30 minutes to go before the end of the day, I couldn't have been notified so that I had time to know where I could go and what I could do to get back to my city? With only 5 minutes to go I was warned and while I was thinking about what I could do, all the drivers who could take me somewhere to facilitate my transfer left. It seemed to me that this was all thought out because it was Friday and everyone wanted to go home soon. The point is that the service in this regard was extremely disrespectful. Of all the places I've lived in the world, this store was definitely one of the places I've been disrespected the most. After that, we had to turn around and bother a friend from our city so he could pick us up, because we couldn't rent the car because of the unavailability at the rental company we knew. I would like to record it here so that the store has more empathy with the customers, because if the employees are tired of a hard work week, so are we customers. It's not easy to ask permission from work, drive almost 2 hours and not be informed in advance of what would happen to my car. There was no prior conversation informing me that the car could be at the store all weekend or trying to solve a problem they created themselves. I hope I never need the service of this store again. And I hope you treat your customers better so they don't go through what I went through.

Renata, We apologize that your service work wasn't done on time, and we should have known that late in the day on Friday for a big project, we would rather not deal with a time constraint. Unfortunately when doing a repair, there are times when an easy job becomes complicate and the repair was not going to be able to be completed on time. We are sorry about the frustration, our business is all about making sure the repair is done correctly, we ran out of time, and apologize for the inconvenience.

I’m able to get appointments at the desired time. They keep track of what service is due and let me know. Service is completed promptly and everyone is very courteous! Bill is great!

highly recommend
The employees in the service department are professional, courteous and efficient. The waiting area has a tv, comfy seating, complimentary snacks and beverages along with free WiFi and a play area for the kids. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Patch tire
I had a so leak in a tire, called first thing on a Monday and they said they were really busy - BUT would work me in!!! Billion Hyundai in Iowa City has always gone above and beyond in helping us - especially Bill Schaefer in the service department!

The service for my oil change on my Elantra was outstanding! Bill Scharf was very professional and polite. My car was ready in about 30 minutes including a wash. A quick and easy appointment for me.
