  • Unheard of Policy

    I called this dealer and asked if my mechanic could inspect the car and was told it wasn't their policy to allow that. Incredible! I suppose there...

    I called this dealer and asked if my mechanic could inspect the car and was told it wasn't their policy to allow that. Incredible! I suppose there are enough suckers around to buy their cars without the proper 3rd party inspection.

    "1/4 truth is a whole lie". Yes, he did call the dealership and yes...I told him of the company police ..... that's only 1/4th of the truth.....The facts are: he was told it is our company policy not to take any vehicles to an outside mechanic. He could take it for a test drive and if further interested have his mechanic come to our location. HOWEVER, he was also told that we welcome and are delighted to have the best mechanic he knows come to our location. This has been our policy for more than 32 years. Interesting fact that some of our best customers are in fact the mechanics that have come here to inspect cars for other customers. More interesting, at the time of his call one of those mechanics was here doing another transaction...We welcome 3rd party inspections and encourage them for 1st time buyers and especially folks from out of town. We warranty in writing everything we sell and this car would be no exception. Also, how could he rate the buying process....he didn't even look at the car, much less buy it..... We are very concerned about our customers and their confidence in our dealership. While we feel like feedback is a gift, this is unfortunate, untrue and unfair. Thank you for your consideration.

    Called to look at a vehicle posed for sale. Rob advised that he was out of town so I made an appointment to see the vehicle first thing the morning after his return. He indicated that he would drive over an meet us at said time from their "corporate office". Upon arrival, he steered us down an alley to show us another vehicle he wanted us to see first. Once we finished looking at this vehicle, we explained that we wanted to see the vehicle we had made the appointment to see. He then advised that said vehicle was sold??? He didn't tell me this before I drove over with CA$H in hand. Typical used car salesman experience!! TOTAL WASTE OF TIME, GAS AND EFFORT!!

    This is and was a complete lack of communication between me and my team. The customer is always right....and in this case...he was especially right. We did have an appointment for the next day. The car was sold by one of our team the night before...I didn't know it until I arrived to the office. I apologized and explained to the best of my ability. He is right an should be upset...that is no way to treat good people of good intent. We have made several changes because of this experience and have removed the person responsible for the problem. We can't fix the past, but thanks to the gentleman's feedback...we can change the future. We would like to send the gentleman a card to help express our sincere apology....unfortunately, I don't have the contact information.. Thanks for your considerations.
