I had my son, Colby, go to Market Place because of their reputation. Colby wanted a Mustang, and Tony found him the right one. The Mustang was perfect! Thank you Tony and Market Place for taking care of my son!

I was compared to a terrorist.
This place doesn't want to earn your business. I called on a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins and the 6 speed manual transmission; a pretty rare combination. I didn't even haggle with their asking price of $20,988. I was already pre-approved for a loan with my own credit union. I called to get some additional photos of the truck since I was going to be driving from Spokane, WA. The sales rep. Matthew did send the photos as promised. I also asked for a Purchase Order with their asking price so I can forward it to my credit union. Here is where things get screwy. Matthew told me I have to send him a copy of my ID and go online to their website and fill out a credit application before we can go any further. I advised him that I am not needing any financing and that I have it covered on my end. He told me that I will have to talk to his manager before I can continue. I told him that I would talk to whoever I needed to in order to buy the truck but that I was NOT going to fill out a credit application under any circumstances. I was told by the sales manager that I would have to fill out a credit application and that it was illegal for them to sell me a vehicle without filling out the app. They said that I have to prove my identity to them and that filling out their credit app. would prove who I am. I told them that was ridiculous. He went on to tell me that it's breaking the law to not do so. I told him I would have my credit union contact him since they just needed a purchase order. After my credit union made contact, and were in the same exact boat I was, I was contacted by a Mr. Jeff Johnson from the dealership. He gave me the same runaround. He kept stating its federal law to not "verify my identity". Being a law enforcement officer, I know many other ways of verifying identity that don't involve running credit. He soon agreed it was company policy but he would still not sell the truck without the application. He tried to compare me buying a truck without "verifying my identity" to someone bombing the World Trade Center because they weren't "verified"? He lost me after he began talking about bombs. My guess is that they get some sort of commission on credit applications. Whatever the reasoning behind it all, it cost them a sale. I wouldn't trust these people with selling lemonade, let alone cars. By the way, according to Mr Johnson, if you'd like to walk into this dealership with cash money and buy anything on their lot, you will have to fill out a credit application!

Great people Great experience!
Honestly, you always hear about how smaller dealerships are harder to deal with BUT this could NOT be further from the truth! We have bought a lot of cars/ trucks in our past and this was by far the easiest and least stressful of an experience we've had. Tony and Jeff were amazing and did whatever they could to get us a great deal and a great rate. No haggling necessary. Their experience and honesty made things very enjoyable and smooth. I highly recommend coming to Market Place Auto to deal with Tony and Jeff!

Great service, friendly and efficient.
Tony did a great job with making the purchase process efficient with great results. We would absolutely recommend purchasing a vehicle here. They even accommodated our puppy for a test drive and throughout the process.
