This dealership failed to be transparent about certain

This dealership failed to be transparent about certain obligations tied to the vehicle lease, which only became clear after the fact. That alone was frustrating, but the response from management made the situation worse. When these concerns were raised with the general manager, Mike, there was little to no empathy or effort to address the issue, just a dismissive attitude that suggested the dealership did not value the customer relationship or future business. Buying or leasing a vehicle requires trust, and based on my experience, that trust was not upheld.

Hello Gtetorakis, I'm sorry you feel this way. Please allow me to present the facts. You returned your lease vehicle here that you leased from a different dealer. When leasing a car you are responsible for the wear and tear at the end of the lease. The dealer does not inspect lease returns and is not involved in that process. The bank sends an independent inspector to the dealership to do the inspection and they determine the damage and assign a dollar amount, if any, send that info back to the bank and they bill accordingly. If we inspected the car and are wrong in our assessment then we would be responsible, no? If we tell you to fix something and they wouldn't have charged you or if we tell you not to fix something and they do charge you... You can see the problem here. Furthermore, you call us for an explanation of the bill which we provide. You don't like the answer, understandable, no one likes unexpected bills. However you damaged your car, the repairs are your responsibility. The bill came from the bank, not Alfa Romeo of Strongsville. To put it another way, if you rent a house and leave damages at the end of the lease it will be deducted from your security deposit by the landlord. Would you expect your real estate agent to pay for that charge? Leaving a one star review solely because we would not pay your bill is uncalled for. As for valuing the customer relationship and earning trust? We've been the top rated Alfa Romeo dealer for customer satisfaction in the country three years running. We more than appreciate our customers and have built a following because of it. Again we're sorry that you feel this way but stand by our decision.
