I was looking for a convertible with an automatic transmission and traded my 07 mustang gt stick for an 04 bmw 330ci. The Mustang was newer with 30,000... fewer miles on it. I was given a lowball trade because, supposedly, Ford didn't yet have a fix for the Takata airbag issue and the BMW was $8,500. I said I wanted to have a mechanic check it out first but they said they would give me a $1500 maintenance agreement for free if I didn't. I was dumb enough to say OK. It turns out that, unlike every other dealer I ever dealt with, they apparently do not check out a car before they put it on the lot. At least, that's what they told me, saying they just changed the oil. During the next 5,000 miles, I've had to put $7,000 in repairs into the car. I cashed in the maintenance agreement (which I was later told they give to everyone anyway), since upon inspection, it really only covered engine or transmission failure. A traditional 30 day, 3,000 mile dealer warranty would have been much better. Perhaps the only person who got a good deal would be whoever bought my Mustang for significantly more money basically as soon as it went on the lot. I did respond to a survey from Grayson, told them all about this and never heard from them. I will never, ever do business with these people or Grayson again.
We were in a bind, stressed and had to get a car for the household. At Mini of Knoxville we had a great experience with Tim Marsee. He was honest and straight... forward. We never felt like we were being pressured or manipulated. The financing department was equally helpful and respectful. Definitely not the stereotypical car salesman experience. Would look forward to going back there for our next vehicle.
Why would you ever hire a person like Cameron Hanson??? I've never been treated so badly by such an ignorant salesman ever. This dealership really... needs to run background checks and vet their employees. Any reputable dealership would never hire such a person to work for them.
I had a pleasant experience with Grayson Mini Store yesterday. Our Salesman, Cameron Henson was one of the best I have ever dealt with. Very professional,... knowledgeable of mini cars and very polite to us. Went the extra step to find information we wanted and was helpful in every way. We learned he had only been with Grayson two weeks. We say keep him....a real asset to your dealership. The world needs more young professionals like him! He also followed up with a call regarding a service call this morning as he said he would. A very nice young man!

I was very happy the first and second time doing business with Mini of Knoxville. Due to a muscle injury I had to trade my manual in for an automatic.... Brandon Wirick did a really good job helping compare vehicles, helping me find a Mini that suited my needs, was in my budget, and also familiarized me with all the new features. I will do business with them in the future and highly recommend Mini of Knoxville.
I have taken my '09 Clubman S to MINI of Knoxville for service since I bought the car. I recently had a battery die on my and, when I took it in for service,... asked them to also check the engine as it hadn't been running quite right. The engine failed the test for carbon deposits. This car, with 45,000 miles on it, had already had to have the engine heads blasted to remove carbon deposits three times previously. I asked the service rep to speak to the service manager, David, about giving me some consideration on the blasting work, which costs about $1100, since it was obviously a recurring problem. My warranty had expired last year, although the car was still under an extended maintenance agreement. Amazingly, David agreed that he would pick up the carbon blasing work under warranty work, even though the warranty had expired. I've never had an experience at a car dealer where they did what was right, not what they were required to do. I can't say enough positive about MINI of Knoxville and their perspective on how to win and keep loyal customers. They have my lifelong appreciation.
