Beware!

Beware!! Bought a used Jeep from this dealership, it has been the worst purchase we have ever made. Oil leaking, check engine lights and now antifreeze leaking today. Stay AWAY from this dealership! We have already spent 1100.00 in repairs and still problems persist. We have contacted the used sales manager with no response. They cannot be trusted and are dishonest with the vehicles they sell. They had to know this vehicle had problems prior to selling it, since they supposedly changed the valve cover. Go somewhere, anywhere else!

Do not pay attention to the negative reviews.

Do not pay attention to the negative reviews. I am not sure where this is coming from. What I can tell you is that I purchased a used vehicle (BMW I4 M50) from this dealership on 08/15/2025. I located this vehicle on cars.com and began interacting with the dealership several weeks prior to purchase. I have nothing to say other than good things about this interaction. They were professional and helpful but not overbearing. They were fair on their price and fair on the trade in. I too was skeptical about the negative reviews but have received explanations for those and they seem legitimate. I would highly encourage you to consider purchasing a car from this dealership if you have found something you like. I was nervous about purchasing a car "remotely" but MINI of Knoxville truly made it a pleasurable experience and I have no regrets. I would definitely purchase a car from them in the future should the need arise.

Would give negative stars if I could.

Would give negative stars if I could. My son was very excited to purchase his first car here cash. They sold him a Nissan maxima that was undriveable and unsafe. He's had the car only 2 weeks and within days of purchasing there was puddles of oil from massive oil leaks. The mechanic said if the dealership completed an oil change before being sold like stated there was evidence they seen it. After paying over 1300 to fix the leaks then the check engine light came on and showed a bad transmission which is 6k to fix. We are so upset and heartbroken by this experience. They won't return calls or respond. We have contacted an attorney, the BBB and motor vehicle commission. They claim to be the name to trust but their deceptive practices prove otherwise. Please do not go here. I don't want to see this happen to someone else.

UPDATE: mini of Knoxville has now blocked me on Facebook

UPDATE: mini of Knoxville has now blocked me on Facebook for posting about my experience. They will silence anyone who calls them out for their bad business practices. Do not purchase from them - they are the worst dealer I’ve ever dealt with and are full of lies and deception. Take a lesson from me and other recent posters and avoid this place. They ONLY care about getting your money and after that they do not care at all. Bought a used car and after less than 50 miles it needed a new battery and brakes and cost me $2300. Mini refused to help pay for any of it even though I mentioned the battery during my test drive and they said they “fixed it.” Their version of fixing it must be turning off the warning, but when I brought this up they said I should’ve had them sign something saying they’d fix it. Truly the lowest of low car dealers I’ve dealt with. Once again, avoid this place like the plague. To James Lewis: You should be absolutely embarrassed by the way your staff acts. Christian and Mark are some of the most unprofessional people I’ve ever worked with. They don’t answer calls or emails and are extremely condescending. Maybe you like running a business that way, but it is beyond unprofessional to avoid a customer and act like they don’t exist. I will be filing a formal complaint with Mini and BBB. I can’t believe you think it’s ok to have a customer fork out close to $2.5k less than 2 weeks into ownership. See proof below of my bill - don’t give Grayson your business and continue spreading the word of their disgusting practices.

My interaction with the dealer started out good.

My interaction with the dealer started out good. They had a used Suburban that was in my price range and not too crazy on mileage. We liked what we saw as gas as features. We told them upfront that we had to have two keys and they said they'd get us the key replacement plan and then we could get the second key once we'd bought the car. We also told them upfront which extended warranty we wanted. But they didn't like that I wanted to use my own credit union and when I asked for the buyers order, they sent it without any of the extras I told them about so it was a few thousand less that what the real price was going to be. So I had to spend way too much of my own time going back and forth between my credit union and the dealer because the dealer wanted me to use their banks. The car also had illegally dark window timing and the dealer refused to do anything about it so I'm having to pay to have it removed. And we still have never gotten any info about getting our second key. Brian. Our sales person will not return any calls and one of the other dealer employees told me the last time I called that we didn't get the key replacement coverage. Do yourself a favor and don't use the dealer or any of the Grayson dealerships. They are very shady and try to slip stuff past you.

Terrible experience with this dealership.

Terrible experience with this dealership. They had given me an estimate over the phone of what I would get on a trade-in on my vehicle. I drive 2.5 hours to buy my car and they said the car wasn't worth what they originally stated. They never verbally told me what they were given me. I am a single lady who had never purchased a vehicle on my own before and didn't realize where that would be. I see once I arrive back home that they gave me $500 for a trade in!!! I had a 2015 Acura with 150,000. I ask to get it back the next day and they tried to resell it to me for $1000 plus fees. They would not allow me to pay the $500 for the car. They were rude and not easy to work with. I would not recommend going there to buy a new or used car.
