Great selection, friendly and no high pressure

I have bought two vehicles from Bill and they were well kept and super clean cars. When you arrive there is no high pressure into buying, these guys are friendly and work with you . My experience with them both times has been excellent and I would highly recommend them. Also if you are in need of a car detail they Stephen Webster onsite who does top notch work.

HORRIBLE DISHONEST PEOPLE

Typical sleazy used car dealership. They will not tell you what is wrong with the vehicle. Either that or their technician is not properly trained enough to assess the existing damages. I would never in my life recommend these people to anyone for a used vehicle. They sell you vehicles claiming to 'need nothing' with 'perfect autochecks', ship them out to you for you to find they need new MAIN seals, clutches, and tires. It also grinds when cold, suggesting the syncros are bad. My $1000+ mechanic bill would suggest it needed more than 'nothing'. What did they do when I informed them about these pre-existing damages? Imagine a parrot that knee-jerkingly vomits out "Nope. The car was perfect. Squaawwwk. Nope. The car was perfect". The instant I mentioned repairs this guy(John) hit flipmode on me and the ol' 'aw shucks', family owned and operated bit went out the flippin' window. I tried to reason with them and even gave them a heads up that I would be posting many horrible reviews and they just didn't care. Believe it. Super classy, right? Quick credibility check, for what it's worth. I'm a 35 year old man who has been driving as his job for the last 2 decades. I'm the most skilled driver at my place of employment. I've owned 30 vehicles in my life. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, V8s, 4 bangers, autos, manuals, low riders, lifted trucks, you name it. My other car is a Toyota with about 204,000 miles on it. It's a manual. Bought it new and have babied it ever since. 15 years ago I scored a perfect on the test to get into the military(3 out of every 1500 people do that). Which sounds more likely to you - the person I just described grinding, burning, and chewing up that clutch(see pictures), busting the main seal, and magically dry rotting 3 tires around the entire circumference..... or maybe this small time used car dealership just isn't very honest and hasn't realized the power of social media yet? I've been going to my mechanic for 8 years. It's the type of place you would expect the person I described above to take their vehicle. They've given me my vehicle back and said there is nothing wrong with it and that I was imagining it. They've given it back to me and told me the fix was a $10 gas cap. Family owned and operated, stack of testimonials the size of a phone book in the lobby, the owner and his wife behind the counter, etc. His wife has shuttled me to and from my house several times. It's that kind of place. It's called Accurate Automotive in Mesa, AZ. Check them out, they know everything. Ask about Steve and the white mustang that got shipped here. Ask me too, anything you like. Message me on here, call me, ask to see my paperwork, more pics, call my work, anything you like to ensure you make the right car buying decision. I'm going to extract this money from your pocket one way or another, John and Bill at Golden Auto Sales, whether it be by you cutting me a check for something that's fair, or lost revenue from potential car buyers(think about what one set of eyeballs on this review does to your pocket). More later!

A good experience.

Very good experience. It's a used car dealership, so obviously you need to be prepared for everything that comes with buying a used car. But as far so doing so goes, it was pleasant. No pressure, honest, accommodating, and willing to negotiate. No underhanded tricks, reasonable starting prices, and a decent selection of vehicles. If you're looking to buy a car, this is a good place to check out. It's a small town dealership that's been around for a good while, and I haven't heard or experienced anything bad about them.

Bought My Avalanche!

Normally, I hate car shopping and that feeling that your walking away with potential junk..This was not the case here...Bill was my salesman and he was awesome, straight to the point, very fair, and an easy to talk to guy. Not your average sell you lies in order to get you to buy kinda salesmen in rockford..I was in love with my new Avalanche the second I saw it. I see now why all of Byron buys from these guys. I will make the drive again. Very happy.

Great experience

I contacted John via email about a car I was interested in, and made arrangements to drive it. My initial reason for shopping in Byron was to save on sales tax, which is 6.23% as opposed to 8.25% in Rockford, but I found more reasons to prefer Golden. Bill and John were so easy going and accommodating, and their car prices beat those in Rockford by hundreds of dollars. When I made an offer on the car, there was none of that tension, horse trading and hemming and hawing. Bill and John consulted for about 10 seconds and said, 'Yeah, that's fair,' and the deal was sealed. This was my best experience buying a car EVER. Thanks Bill and John.

Found our Suburban

We were looking for a 2007 Suburban and we came across one at Golden Auto Sales. I e-mailed Bill about it and he said it was in great shape. It was $1500 less than the ones in our area. We made the trip and it was better than Bill described it to me. There was no pressure and we were done with the paperwork in about a half hour. We couldnt be happier with our purchase.

Best Dealer Around

I found the 2007 Suburban we were looking for at Golden Auto Sales. I e-mailed Bill about the Suburban before I made the trip, He told me it was in Great Shape. When we got there, the Suburban was nicer than he explained it to me. The price was a $1500 less than the ones in my area. There was no pressure when we got there and we did the paperwork and were gone in about a half hour. All around a non-stressfull experience.
