Prices listed have baked in "deery discount" that you

Prices listed have baked in "deery discount" that you only get if you finance. Also will try to get you to pay for some "theft protection" garbage sticker they put in the window to the tune of about $400. Get an out the door price before you even bother looking at a vehicle. Very deceptive pricing practices. Sales guy was decent enough - the clowns up in the ivory tower were stereotypical slime. Acted like they were doing me a favor selling me a car for way more than what they listed it for. Get out the door price before looking at a vehicle and go from there.

As others have posted in reviews previously, I too was

As others have posted in reviews previously, I too was turned away from this dealership because of their refusal to let me take a used vehicle (with a check engine light on, and a broken latch that prevented raising the hood, no less) for inspection by my mechanic, 10 miles away. I got the same line as others - "your mechanic can come here to look at it!" - which I've never heard from any other dealership. Defend it all you like, but all that policy does is drive potential buyers away. Trustworthy dealers with nothing to hide don't operate this way. The guys I talked with (Cody & Juan) were pleasant, but that's all I can say for this place.

Look elsewhere for a vehicle!

I purchased a used car from this dealership and 3 weeks later the car has internal engine damage and needs a new engine! They have had the vehicle in their shop for over a month and I still have not received an answer if the warranty will cover the engine damage. No one seems to be in a hurry to give me my car back but yet they sure were in a hurry to take my money. Once they have your money you are no longer a priority! Don't be fooled by their warranty that is supposed to put your mind at ease once you purchase a car from them! It seems like now everyone I tell my story too says that they have had the same problems with Deery Brothers dealership!

Great Service

My husband and I were just browsing through when Joe popped out to see if we needed any assistance. He answered some questions and grabbed some keys for a test drive. Honestly, we didn't plan on purchasing a vehicle on our first day looking but we absolutely loved our experience and Joe was so personable and felt very trustworthy. My husband has been a mechanic in the past and really appreciated Joe looking into things with our SUV. All in all - great experience and will definitely be recommending Joe at Deery Brother's to anyone in search of a vehicle. He also checked in a few days after the purchase to follow-up, which I wasn't expecting but always appreciate.

Follow up? HAHAHAHA

Bought a new 2020 Jeep Wrangler. After I drove it off the lot...crickets. No free first service, no followup call (everything okay?), usual run back and forth between salesman and "my manager". Previous new vehicle I purchased from Carousel Nissan-GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE there!! Oil changes and tire rotations free for first year. Deery??? Nothing!! Not even a call to tell me I forgot my sunglasses in the overhead console of my trade-in. I have purchased 11 new cars and this was the worst in terms of customer service. I will not buy another vehicle here.

Thank you for your feedback Chris. We are always looking to get better at all phases of our business. We apologize for the poor follow up experience, and will use this as a training opportunity. Would it be okay to contact you regarding this issue?

Unfriendly experience

I am sorry but the technician I had was very unprofessional. When I came in the female technician was friendly, But days later she left message on phone and was very rough, almost hostile even. The worst was when picking up my vehicle the technician Liz I think her name was was very short tempered and rude. As if It was a bother to fix my car. Someone should seriously sit her down and coach her on having a better attitude or move on because she is not representing the company right. My family has done business here for 6 years. we love coming her but if this is how we are going to be treated we will just take our business to Billions service.

Bad mannered technicians

Never having work done here again our technician was far from professional or friendly. Waited on our car for hours meanwhile our technician was nowhere to be found. Engine hood up for hours sat in waiting room watching other customers coming and going. We are sitting....sitting...sitting... Meanwhile I checked with my mechanic friend who says it should have been a 20 minute job. We got billed for 2 hours of labor. No courtesy car wash, no courtesy fluids as advertised. Technician had a bad attitude. What an waste of our day!

Great Customer Service

While I did not end up purchasing anything from this dealership, I did look into a car and take it for a test drive. The sales rep who helped was named Anthony and he was super polite and professional and made me and my parents feel at ease while we looked into the car. He was also great at following up with text and email to see his my decision process was going and he alerted me to price changes on the vehicle I looked at as well as keeping an eye out for other vehicles that were in my price range.

Pacifica problem

We purchased a 2019 Pacifica Hybrid from Deery Brothers Chrysler in Iowa City on June 12, 2019. It had 2893 miles on the odometer. We asked why it was traded in and were told that it wasn’t traded in. We assumed it was a program car or shuttle that had been owned by the dealership. The price was deeply discounted from the price of a new Pacifica Hybrid, so we decided to buy it. When we were signing the sale papers with the finance manager, the last one was the title, and it had a previous owner on it! We asked again about why it was traded. The finance manager called a sales manager, who called in the salesman who had taken it on trade (not the salesman we had dealt with.) He said it had been traded on a non-hybrid because the previous owner really wanted the Stow-and-Go seats and didn’t like the way it was so quiet when running on battery only. We decided to proceed with the purchase. About a week later, an alarm appeared in the display, “service hybrid system.” We made an appointment to have it checked. The Deery technician said that the alarm was related to the cooling system for the hybrid battery. They found no problems beyond low coolant level. They recommended that we return in a couple of weeks for a checkup. This was done on July 19, and no problems were found. In early August we traveled to North Carolina to visit friends. The alarm reappeared both days on the drive. We left the car with Fields Chrysler in Asheville for a couple of days. They consulted Chrysler and were told that the hybrid battery had been replaced at 1091 miles. They did a procedure that Chrysler recommended to fix the problem. Since then the alarm has not reappeared, although the “check engine” light was on for a while during a later trip. Upon returning home, I found out who the former owner was, and called him. He told me they traded the car when the battery failed, and not for the reasons we had been given. On August 9, I visited the dealership with the intent of speaking to the manager. I was told that he was out, and they didn’t know when he would be back. I spoke to a sales manager who heard me out, and, at my request gave me a copy of the paperwork from when the battery was replaced. Later that day, I wrote a letter to Mr. A. J. Perez, the manager of the dealership, telling him of our experience and expressing our displeasure that we had not been told the truth about the history of the car, and our concern about its reliability. It has been more than a month, and I have received no response. Any further mechanical work on this car will be done by an independent mechanic or another dealer. I will not return to Deery, and would never recommend them.
