I went to several dealers looking for a car before I ended up at Berwyn Kia. I walked in and thought "here we go again" because of the bad experiences I had at other dealers - appointments not kept, cars "not there" or "not ready to be sold" and they try a bait and switch, thousands of dollars of additional add ons to the advertised price, etc. That all changed when they introduced me to Mr. Brown. He was a straight shooter - he saw that I was serious and he treated me like an adult. I was in there at 5pm, he showed me the car I wanted to see, got me a fair value for my trade in, and I was out of there by 8pm with my certified pre-owned KIA. Plus, Jim is a really cool guy. He bent over backwards to make sure the sale worked and the car was acceptable. Thanks Jim - I'll be recommending you in the future!

I have been a loyal Kia customer and have done business with Berwyn Kia for almost 10 years, mainly because of salespeople like Oraya, who has always done her best to help. Unfortunately, everything about this most recent experience showed just how far this dealership has declined under the new management. The problems started the day we picked up our brand new vehicle. Our original salesperson was not there, so the keys were left with another employee who was completely uninterested in helping us. I walked in with my family, two children, and all of our belongings from our trade-in vehicle, and not a single employee greeted us, offered assistance, or even acknowledged us. Everyone kept their heads down as if we were invisible. We had to go find someone ourselves just to get basic help. Then the real nightmare started. Almost immediately after taking the vehicle home, the AC stopped working. The car had less than 300 miles on it. We brought it back right away, and the attitude from the service department was unbelievable. The employee at the service desk acted visibly annoyed that we were there and even complained about having to work past his scheduled time — as if our family was somehow inconveniencing him for expecting a brand new car to function properly. From there, communication became nonexistent. For days, nobody called with updates. We repeatedly had to call the service department ourselves just to get vague answers about the issue and possible repair. No timeline. No reassurance. No accountability. Just more frustration and growing buyer’s remorse. Eventually, after us once again calling multiple times, we were finally told the vehicle was ready. Had we not kept calling, who knows how long we would have been left waiting with zero communication. What stood out the most throughout this entire experience was the complete lack of empathy or professionalism. Nobody apologized. Nobody acknowledged how unacceptable this experience was for a customer buying a brand new vehicle. When we returned to pick up the car, the experience was somehow even worse. Again, not one person greeted us when we entered the showroom. Employees sat around with their heads down avoiding eye contact while I carried a baby seat and transferred everything in the rain with my family and no offer of assistance anywhere in sight. To make matters worse, when we brought our concerns to the GM, he asked if there was “something he could do” to make it right, in a tone that made it sound like we were just looking for a handout instead of expecting basic customer service and accountability. This dealership has completely lost the customer-focused atmosphere it once had. Loyalty clearly means nothing here anymore. After nearly a decade of doing business with Berwyn Kia, I can honestly say I will never return and would strongly encourage others to think twice before purchasing a vehicle here.

I went to Berwyn Kia because I found an EV6 listed on Cars.com for $20,250. I know that was the price because I still have the printout. Once at the dealership, they were great, polite, helpful, not pushy. I was really impressed with the experience. I did not ask what the car cost, because *I thought I knew*. At no point during the discussion did my salesperson, Sasa, mention the price, and when his manager, Dennis, came over, they only talked about financing and monthly payments. Finally, during the signing up the paperwork, after sitting through the mandatory sales pitch about extended warranties, we went through the paperwork at about 10 seconds per page. But I was told not to worry - I'd get a copy of all of it to read over when I got home (after signing, of course). So imagine my surprise when i got home and noticed that they did not sell me the car for $20,250, as advertised; they raised the price to $23,873. Once you throw in tax, title and license, the financed part of my loan is MORE than I was expecting to pay, even after making a $5,000 down payment. I immediately called Sasa, who declaimed any knowledge about the pricing, but said he'd have Dennis call me. Reader, I think you can guess whether Dennis ever reached out. Was this illegal? Maybe! Is it dishonest and scammy? For sure! Am I ever going back there, or recommending anyone else go there? No way.

Nice guy at the test drive and sales appt but I don't appreciate being mislead or lied to about the $. I asked specifically if we financed the car and paid off the car before the first payment was due if any interest would be added by then and was told no. As such, I thought the outstanding balance of 47.9K was what I'd need to pay and was surprised when Kia Finance got set up and immediately showed me 49.3k was the "pay off" amount. Again, don't appreciate being mislead or lied to in order to pull another $1,000+ out of my pocket.
