1.5 mo to get deposit back on vehicle I did NOT purchase....
Had initially contacted this dealership to purchase a used vehicle in their inventory. As a potential out of state buyer I negotiated a price with a Sales Manager and made a $1,000.00 deposit towards the purchase of the vehicle, with the balance to be paid upon delivery. The deposit was made the second week of July, however the deal ultimately did not work out and the vehicle was never purchased. Fast forward to the end of August, and when reconciling bank balances, I realized the deposit was never returned. I immediately call the dealership and ask to speak to someone in finance, and am connected with a Mr. Jay Wright. I inform him of what had happened and that my deposit was never refunded, and he informed me that he would forward my request to the business office and they would handle my refund (this was on a Thursday). Assuming that everything was fine it wasn't until I saw no refund that I reached back out to him the middle of the following week and was informed that they would more than likely have to cut me a check (I had made the deposit with a temporary card issued by my bank, and that card was no longer valid as my permanent card had been since been sent and received) due to the fact that I no longer had the card that was originally used and they do not do refunds to a different card. He informed me to follow up the following day which I did and it was at that time that I spoke with Ernesto DePiano (whom informed me that he was only a Sales Associate however was in actuality a Sales Manager-this was confirmed by their website in addition to by the receptionist that answers the dealership's main line) whom informed me that he was very "diligent and efficient" and would follow up with me in 30 min. 2+ hours came and went and I reached back out to him and he told me that he had good news and that I could file a claim with my bank for an improper charge and once I provided them documentation of this they would then refund my deposit to any card of my choosing. I informed him that was unacceptable, as when I filed a claim with my bank they would go ahead and provide a refund themselves, and told him that I would be filing a complaint to BBB. He acted as though he didn't care and was quite indignant and dismissive. I immediately went to a local branch of my bank, and told my banker what had transpired. They were appalled and offered to call the dealership on my behalf in front of me. She got Mr. Jay Wright on the phone and informed him that both my temporary and permanent cards shared the same number with the only difference being the expiration date and he cut her off saying ".....we do not care and that is our policy and we are not issuing a refund to his card." After going back and forth he explained that they did not want to return to a different card due to possible fraud (how is there possible fraud when the dealership already has the money and is refusing to refund it). After my banker threatens to escalate things to the authorities, he finally agrees to a refund, and gets on the phone with me and apologizes. These people are a JOKE. My advice to you and anyone considering the purchase of a vehicle from this dealership is to take your business and money elsewhere.

Outstanding Dealership
I had an extremely positive experience purchasing my vehicle at Kia Stamford. I walked in terrified and cynical and left a few days later relaxed, overjoyed with my beautiful new car. I had intended to initially just go for a test drive after having a lesser experience at another dealership. I was immediately ushered to a comfy seat while they got a set of keys for the test drive. I didn't have to sit for a half hour while they gathered information. They met my needs right away. Rocco took the ride with my friend and I. He answered my questions and made good suggestions as far as different roads/surfaces to drive on to make the most of the test drive. After the drive I was given comparisons/options/suggestions etc. and I never felt pressured to make an immediate decision. They were able to locate the exact vehicle I wanted and promised delivery within 24 hours....I decided and they delivered, great price on my trade in and the entire deal was very positive. Rocco, Tommy, Ernesto and Jay are all great upstanding guys (good senses of humor too) who treated me with respect and I always felt they had my best interest in mind. This was the most comfortable large business transaction I've ever experienced and I recommend this dealership to anyone and everyone looking for a new or used car.

The Kia of Stamford dealers were excellent when it came to their service center. Many employees helped me out. I had to drive 2 hours to the dealership , but it was worth it. I got a great deal on my vehicle. I'm proud I made the right choice going to this dealership.

Great Buying Experience, Service is Top Notch
Kia of Stamford is a no pressure, no hassle buying experience. I starting searching for a car and Sergio was very accommodating. He was patient in finding me the right car (2 month search) and kept me updated throughout the process. I would recommend purchasing a vehicle for Kia of Stamford. Good Experience
I was very pleased with Stamford Kia, my sales rep Tommy was very relaxing with what could have been a "tough" or stressful transaction. Tommy assured me everything would go smoothly and it did, I got an excellent price on my used Kia Soul and I'm very happy with it. I would certainly recommend this dealership to family and friends. I chose this Kia dealership which is about 25 miles from my home (when there is another Kia dealership almost literally in my backyard) because a friend had such a good experience and I must say I did too. If you're looking for a great Kia dealership you won't regret going to Stamford Kia.

These people are really the best...
After years of woe with my 2003 Kia Sedonna, I finally decided to suck it up and take the trek from North Stamford to Selleck street to have the dealership take a look at my car. I'd brought it to almost every auto shop and mechanic within a 20 mile radius and eventually approached the Kia auto shop as a last resort. Here's the thing: auto shops are the worst, what with their long lines, inconsistent quality, and unenthusiastic employees. This has been my experience in the past at least. Kia of Stamford isn't an auto shop; it's a collection of warm, energetic and competent employees striving to give their costumer's the absolute best value for any budget. John, (hi John!) fixed my car after discovering that everything I'd been told by other auto shops had been bull. He gave me an extremely affordable price, communicated while the car was in his care, and did such a great job with the actual work, I got 30,000 miles more off of that piece of garbage car! John is the best. I can't say that enough; as the face of Kia, it's pretty easy to understand why the parking lot is always full. John is the man. Get your car fixed by him right now; even if there's nothing wrong with it, go now! John knows me by first and last name and once my Sedonna died, he knew exactly what kind of a car would fit not only my budget, but my personality and taste. The awesome Ernesto helped me pick a Kia Soul out of the lot and figured everything out so I'd be able to take it home in the same day. Ernesto is funny, warm, and a fantastic guy to have on your side. Thank you to everyone who made this experience so smooth, easy, and fun. Thanks to John and Ernesto and Jay the finance expert and to Tommy for transfering my plates and to the pretty woman who sits in front of Ernesto and graduated from Westconn and to everyone else at the dealership that came up and said hi, asked how my day was going, or congratulated me on my new car. Making a purchase should be fun, and these guys at Kia know exactly what they're doing. Kia is comprised of only the friendliest, most capable and awesome workers; they put you first, not as a costumer, but as a human. I had an amazing experience at Kia and I recommend everyone dump their car into the ocean and go purchase a new one at Kia right now. Thanks everyone! Service Visit - Under warranty
Kia Stamford Service Dept. is very professional, knowledgeable & went out of their way to service me, even though I purchased my car from a different dealership. They were extremely cordial, identified the rattling noise I was hearing and corrected the problem in a short time. I called on a Monday and was given an appointment that Saturday in the morning, with a telephone call confirming my appointment. I highly recommend Kia Stamford and my only regret is not purchasing my car from them.

I was treated as WOMAN who is ignorant and guilible!
I arrived on 4/5/14 to purchase a used 2003 Buick Rendezvous CX with 72,991 miles from Kia of Stamford, CT. The Sales Consultant was Tommy Vollano. Prior to my visit, I was approved by your credit department and a deposit was placed to hold the vehicle. We waited almost 1 1/2 hour for the car to be detail/clean. We sat patiently in your service area and felt truly forgotten about until we were told the car was ready. Upon seeing the vehicle during the inspection, it was a disaster. The exterior was pathetic with numerous flaws (broken window pane w/tape and crack back passenger bumper). Tommy suggested that he would fix the cosmetic issues in the car or lower the original price. We went to take the car for a test drive and driver seat belt connector was obstructed from the buckle which was below a cup holder attached to the console. Tommy explained that the previous owner had an affinity for cup holders and most of them were removed. Tommy had to use a screwdriver to remove the cup holder in the driver's seat. The removal of the cup holder assembly left a hold in the side of the console. We proceeded on the test drive which did not include Tommy. I was surprised that he did not mentioned the seat belt condition since he drove the car from the cleaning location. Isn't there a seat belt law in NY/CT which must be honored! ( I guessed he thought I was STUPID). During our test drive, we found the Subaru of Stamford Pre-Owned Superstore. Upon our arrival, I was greeted by Aki Stefanidis, who treated us with respect and took great attention to our queries. We purchased a vehicle from Subaru (Which is also owned by the Kia Dealership owner) and we are very happy. We returned the test drive 2003 Buick Rendezvous CX and told them that the car did not meet our needs. To my surprised Tommy visited the Subaru and was very nonchalant about his transaction and ask for a loose cigarette from Aki. Unbelievable, if you can't buy your own cigarettes do you borrow one from another dealer (Twice) to interrupt my Subaru transaction to purchase a vehicle. Truly that was UNPROFESSIONAL and TACKY! I plan to purchase another car in the future and you couldn't pay me to purchase anything from Kia of Stamford, CT
