Dishonest, misleading advertisement, charged 3 grand extra for options not asked for or wanted and then refused to take off, took hundreds from us to hold the car and then when I discovered it wasn't what they said it was refused to refund any of the deposit. Avoid like the plague.

The car we were seriously considering buying was advertised as having a crucial option for our needs. Without it we would not have bothered. The ad inferred it was equipped with it, the salesperson wrote me it had it ( I have proof of both) . We left a $300 deposit to hold the car while figuring out our financing and then the day before we were scheduled to come in to meet with the financing manager it came to light that the option we considered a must have was in fact not on the car. We backed off , and they refused to admit to any wrongdoing and also refused to return any of the deposit money, even though they misled us. Add to that mandatory LoJack for a grand and ceramic coating for 2 grand even though we said we didn't want it...and you get a dealership living up to every single negative stereotype associated with used car lots. Beware...this company is dishonest and only looking out for ways to increase their own profit margin.

If I could give this dealership negative stars, I would. I am a 21-year-old college student who worked incredibly hard to save enough money to buy my car. This wasn't just another purchase to me—it was one of the biggest financial decisions I've ever made. I trusted this dealership, and that trust was completely misplaced. LESS THAN 24 hours immediately after purchasing my BMW X3, the problems started. Check engine lights, drivetrain warnings, a major coolant leak, repeated trips to BMW, towing bills, and repair after repair. Instead of enjoying the car I had worked so hard for, I was left constantly worrying when it would break down again. I went to the dealer over 12+ times (documented as well) to try and resolve this issue and they took advantage of the fact I was a first time young female buyer, to not repair what they promised me including the damages they did the times they "repaired" my car (they never did they just kept my car to make it seem like it was fixed). They kept dismissing me and the let the one month mark go by. As if that wasn't enough, the dealership charged me for my tag and registration but NEVER submitted the paperwork. I later discovered it had never been filed, and I had to go to the tag office myself and pay out of pocket a second time just to get my vehicle legally registered. That should have never happened. And they tricked me into having my emissions passed but it never passed until weeks after buying the vehicle. The most disappointing part was the owner's response (Omar). Rather than apologizing or taking responsibility, I was told, "You only paid $17,000 for the car." As if spending $17,000 somehow means I should expect a vehicle full of serious mechanical problems. To a 21-year-old full time college student, $17,000 is not "only" anything. It's years of hard work, saving, and sacrifice. Hearing that after everything I'd already been through was EXTREMELY insulting and incredibly dismissive. Not once did I feel like anyone cared about the financial burden or stress this experience caused me. Instead of standing behind the vehicle they sold or making things right, I was met with excuses and indifference. This dealership had no problem taking my money, but when it came time to take responsibility, they disappeared. If this is how they treat a young customer making one of the biggest purchases of their life, I can't imagine how they treat anyone else. Please save yourself the stress, the money, and the regret. Have any vehicle inspected by an independent mechanic before buying, double-check every document they promise to file, and seriously consider taking your business somewhere that values honesty and accountability. I sincerely wish I had never purchased my car from this dealership. To this very day (7/29/26) My car is still not able to be drove and they have not once reached out to fulfill their promises!

Believe the negative reviews I would highly advise everyone to not even consider purchasing a vehicle from here. The staff are friendly but that seems to be a ploy to get you to buy a terrible car. I was very interested in purchasing an electric Lexus. I went on a test drive with Arianne as she explained how great this car was. I even had my mechanic go on site to do a check, however they do not allow too extensive checks to vehicles on site. I put a deposit down to hold the car. When I arrived a few days later, I met with Wiana to prepare to take the car home. It was at this point that I was informed the car was a lemon! I was told that this information should have been disclosed before I put a deposit down, however it was not. Even with this knowledge, I was not refunded my $500 deposit. I was misled and given a misrepresentation of the car. They asserted that my mechanic checked it, but obviously it’s not possible to check the history of the car with the simple checks they allow. I was also told that they’ve sold lemons before but people don’t care if the car is still under warranty. On top of all of this, they claimed my Lincoln would only be worth $500 as a trade in. Please note that a Lexus dealership traded it in for $3000. Overall, I believe that they run an untrustworthy business and will do whatever to get one of their lousy cars off the lot.

I should have read the reviews before buying a vehicle from this company. Since I don't live in Atlanta, I had to rely on what I was told about the car's condition. I was assured that the vehicle was in good shape and had no issues, but that was not true. After owning the car for only one day, it began having problems and is now in the shop. I cannot even get the tag for the vehicle because it is currently being repaired. When I contacted the dealership, I was told the car had been inspected. However, after taking it to a Ford dealership, I was informed that it needs new brakes and rotors, and the transmission hits hard when shifted into drive. The vehicle also has several sensors that need repair. When I called the dealership about these issues, their response was to question why I took the car to Ford, saying the dealership would charge more. That does not change the fact that the vehicle has serious problems that should have been addressed before it was sold. I am still waiting for the owner to contact me regarding these issues. The repair costs are estimated at around $2,000. Based on my experience, I would recommend that potential buyers be very careful and thoroughly inspect any vehicle before purchasing.

Automax provided me the most pleasant car buying experience I’ve ever had. Minutes after filling out an online inquiry, I received a text from a dealer representative. After exchanging a few texts about the vehicle I was looking at, I received a text from Shelby Parker, the sales Assistant asking if it was okay to text me. She asked if i was interested in the vehicle and that she would transfer my info to Alen. Alen was straight forward about the vehicles on lot and all of what he said was corroborated by the research my husband and I had done. We had traveled from Greenville,SC to Georgia that morning to arrive to smiles and people willing to help. We we were welcomed to the show room floor to sit to allow the car to be presentable in the Georgia pollen, lol. Once they brought her out, we took it for a test drive which went smoothly. We were brought back and met a few more folks before being introduced to Shawn, who went over all our paperwork, and boy did we have enough with trading and purchasing a car in the same day. With all said and done we hut the road for Greenville and have been driving smoothly ever since. 10/14/25* 2nd Update: So I'm updating my review from a few months ago after a bad experience. I receive this text "Good afternoon this is Omar from Automax Atlanta just checking to see what help do you need I came to find out that you're having some issues with the car I will be the contact person. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue with your vehicle. Don't worry, we've got you covered at our dealership! You'll only be responsible for the $100 deductible as per your contract. In addition, we'll go ahead and switch your warranty to ensure that any future repairs are fully honored, giving you peace of mind down the road." They arranged to pick my vehicle up from SC and take it back into the shop. Since then we may have heard from Omar once with an update. It's October and they picked up my car in July. No responses from my text and phone calls. Im at a lost on what to do, so I guess first step is to get my legal team in check because this is ridiculous. Purchased car in March '25 now major repairs with no communication. Please keep your money in your wallet and purchase a vehicle from a car dealership who stands by their cars with wholesome values that every customer will be safe pulling off the lot. On September is I texted once more : Afternoon, this is Tiffany with the 2022 Nissan Rogue. I would like to know where we are with getting me back into my vehicle. Any update is better than no update. Never responded. My husband has called and wasn't able to leave a voicemail. Im without a car and I'm still faithfully paying my car note, but for what. Im having to gas up somebody else vehicle since mine is sitting in somebody's garage. Something has to give, I have reached that level that is hard to control. I have not received any updates, communication, or an estimated completion date regarding my vehicle. This ongoing lack of information and extended delay in repair is unacceptable and falls below the standards expected from a reputable dealership. This vehicle serves as my only mode of transportation for my family and me to get to and from work. The extended downtime and absence of communication have caused significant personal and financial hardship. As a consumer, I am entitled to timely updates, transparency, and reasonable repair service under state and federal consumer protection laws. The continued lack of communication and inaction may constitute a breach of warranty and neglect of consumer obligations. Accordingly, I am requesting the following within five (5) business days of receipt of this letter: 1. A detailed written update on the current status of the repair; 2. A full explanation for the delay and lack of communication; and 3. A confirmed completion or return date for the vehicle. If I do not receive a satisfactory response within this timeframe.

I give them a zero if i could, very unprofessional. I work at the biggest dealership in Georgia for 9 years as a sales specialist. So i was in the market for a 2020/2021 Mercedes Benz G63.. found one at this dealership for about 130k, was planning to put about 60k down and finance the rest (excellent credit and about 200k annual income), when i got to the dealership the sales guy got all by basic info after i told him what i wanted, we then proceed outside to look at the vehicle, I liked it and i requested to drive it within their lot, he said no problem and asked for my drivers license, by the time i went to my car to grab it, he said his manager won't let me drive it, i gladly walked away, found another one about 45 minutes away, called the other dealership and they treated me with respect... drove there a couple of days later and bought the truck.. it was nicer with less miles and paid 4k less.. been about 3 weeks now and they still have same truck on their lot, I'm guessing they don't really care about selling.
