I called about the truck and they said it was in the shop

I called about the truck and they said it was in the shop getting work done so won’t be able to see it till the next day i went there at eight am even though they said they didn’t open till nine and figured a friend of mine and myself could look it over before they came in but it wasn’t there figured it was in the shop so when the Saleman showed up at 9:10am he informed me that the mechanic took it home to make sure it was ok which I was fine with but he kept calling the mechanic who was not picking up the phone and I have already been there two and a half hours and he told me he doesn’t come in till 2:00 pm and they close at three I just couldn’t wait and hope he comes in as the salesman said he comes in late a lot and I have driven over an hour to get there so I left

Excellent communication and fair treatment.

Treated fairly with respect and was able to have my mechanic check out the Honda Pilot we purchased. We arrived at an agreed price that was fair. I will shop there again.

Continental Auto

Highly recommend this dealership to anyone! Super clean location the staff is very friendly. This was the best place ever to chose for buying my first car. The staff is great to talk to and are so helpful and will make sure that the car is in the best condition it can be before you take it off the lot. They were super understanding when I didn't understand something and had my dad help to explain as well. Overall my dad and I had a great experience and we will go back in the future.

Great Experience, Excellent Deal

I am very happy with the experience I had with Continental Auto Sales. On June 27 I bought a beautiful 2006 BMW Z4 in spectacular condition. The price was under market value and the process of working through the purchase with Steve Grenier, the owner, was seamless and very pleasant. It was worth the 100 mile drive. I highly recommend these folks. Top notch, scrupulously honest and caring team. Steve Paine

These SCAM artists give car-salesmen a bad name!

I recently made the mistake of purchasing a vehicle from Continental Auto Sales located at 338A Main St, Northborough, MA 01532. The Grenier brothers, who own and operate the dealership, are either thieves or they are incompetent. The vehicle they sold me — 2002 Nissan Xterra — had extensive damage that was not disclosed, including: -Knock sensors need replacing?-Failed emissions system?-Cracked connector and lines above gas tank?-Rusted/leaking fuel tank, solenoid, fuel pump, etc. -Bottom of the car completely rusted and painted black to cover damage -Broken air-conditioner The mechanic, after four hours of diagnostic tests, said that the car was so unsafe that, if I were one of his family members, he would not allow me to drive it off the lot. None of this was disclosed to me before buying the car, nor was any of the rust revealed in 20+ photos posted online advertising the car. Even photos of the wheels — that are so completely rusted that the mechanic said they will have to be entirely replaced in order to do rudimentary brake maintenance in the future — were taken at an awkward angle as to obscure as much of the rust as possible. I live in Atlanta, so I paid to fly someone up to MA to drive the car back. The car had been temporarily fixed so that the “service engine soon” light didn’t come on until the car arrived in Atlanta, but it came on the first time I drove it. The car would not pass the GA emissions tests without applying the same short-term fix that Continental Auto Sales had performed to get the car off their lot. A week after the temporary fix was applied, the vehicle failed a second emissions test. To change a flat tire it took three men using full force to remove the tire from the car, as it was solidly rusted in place. The spare tire was so rusted that it deflated upon bearing the car’s weight; when we tried to remount the spare under the car, the mounting mechanism broke off due to rust. When I asked Continental to take the car back, they said the 30-day warranty period had expired. (Unfortunately, I was out of the country receiving medical treatment for a month after the car was delivered in Atlanta. I am disabled from a severe degenerative neuromuscular disease.) In response to my problems, Continental refused to pay to have the car repaired in Atlanta. I offered to ship the vehicle back at my expense in return for a refund, but they refused. They did agree to repair the specific items listed above if I would pay to have the car shipped to them but this was an entirely unreasonable ploy. What intelligent person would trust a dealer to keep their word after being scammed so badly? I offered to bear about half of my total investment/loss in the car if they would send me a check for $3,500 and allow me to sell the vehicle for parts. They refused. If they truly believe that the car is worth $5,500 fixed, then they should be able to get that from someone else if I’m willing to pay to return it. I only paid $5,500 for the car but I am a disabled 30-year old and I invested over half of my savings to buy this car; I’ve now exhausted the rest of my savings attempting to fix and keep the it running. I strongly feel that I should have been told upfront that the cost to repair the car would likely exceed what I was paying for it. Now, I don’t want anything more from the dealership except that they be held accountable so that they don’t do this to someone else. My aim is to ensure that other consumers are made aware that these people are crooks. 1/29/19—Money transferred 1/29/19 —Purchase contract for the car was signed by Continental Auto Sales 2/8/19—Purchase contract was signed by E. Pappanastos 2/9/19—Purchase contract delivered and car was picked from dealership 2/10/19—3/06/19— Car was not driven; medical treatment 3/7/19—’Service Engine Soon’ light comes on 3/8/19—Car fails emissions. Codes: P0455 Evaporative Emissions System Leak Detected (large leak) & P0328 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit High Bank 1 or Single Sensor; Continental is contacted regarding the light and failed emission/codes 04/18/19: Last contact with Continental Auto Sales 04/30/19: Filed formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau

Above-and-beyond service

Stopped into Continental Auto after seeing a car here on cars.com that I was interested in. I emailed and corresponded with Rob and scheduled a test drive. I brought along my girlfriend and close-friend who is also my mechanic. Rob let us take the car out on our own for almost an hour with no objections and no rush. Buying process was soon. Did very minimal haggling as the price was very fair. Rob was available with answering any questions that I or my mechanic had (he did a lot of the talking because this was the first time I purchased a car and was rather clueless). The next process was where Continental shined in terms of service. Since i live in Boston and didn't have a car, I was limited in returning to the dealership to sign the title as well as the rest of the necessary documents. Steve and I coordinated for one of their employees to pick me up at a nearby commuter rail station and shuttle me back to the dealership and they lent me a car to go to the RMV in nearby Milford and get my plates. All around nice experience. Would definitely recommend them if you're in the market for a used car.

Excellent experience, stellar attitudes

I recently purchased a used car. I had the opportunity to interact with many dealers and dealerships during the shopping process. My search ended at Continental Auto in Northborough. Steve and Rob were way above the competition! Smart, pleasant, polite, respectful, and honest. As a single woman there are many hurdles to cross when buying a used car. My experience here was seamless from start to finish and left me without doubt or fear! Test drive - I took the car out myself. Pressure - none applied. Price - fair and without haggling, I took the car to my mechanic for inspection prior to purchase, he found a very small (easily overlooked) problem and gave me an estimate for repair, Steve and Rob were receptive and fair and we were easily able to reach an agreement about repair prior to purchase or adjustment of sale price. Quality of inventory - very high. Ease of transaction - Excellent! I put a deposit on the car the day I test drove it. They did all the paperwork quickly and easily on the day that was convenient for me. Would I deal with them again - In a heartbeat, and I will send my family and friends to them as well. A Very Satisfied Customer

Nice guys

These guys are easy to work with and always answer the phone during their business hours. I'd return for future car purchases.
