CAUTION: DO NOT DO BUSINESS UPDATE (October 16th, 2022)

CAUTION: DO NOT DO BUSINESS UPDATE (October 16th, 2022) Hickory used auto superstore commented on my review saying that they would contact me and there has been no response in over a week. UPDATE #2: (December 26th, 2022) On November 15th the floor manager contacted me and asked me if he could help me out since it is around the holidays. I talked with him and told him what I wanted to fix the situation. He said he would see what the store could do and told me that I would be notified soon if anything could be done. He told me that they usually help people who have had terrible situations like this. It is now December 26th with no call or text telling me if they will do anything to help me after what we have been through with this car. 6 months of owning this vehicle has been a huge mess. To start off, the car has already had major transmission issues. This issue was overlooked when I bought the car because it was considered “normal”. Since then, the issue has since gotten worse over time to the point that there feels like there aren’t any gears. After that, the mechanic told me about a bad exhaust leak when I took it in because of a gas smell that had been there since I bought the car. I was informed by my mechanic that the car would cause me to fail state inspection. I was also shown that the car throws codes for the issue and when you plug a scan tool there are stored codes from before I bought the car and weren’t fixed. I noticed a leak in the front right strut within the first month of ownership that was most likely there when I bought the car and has been mechanical sounding when driving at normal speed. The car has cost over 2000 to fix plus more due to the exhaust leak and suspension and is unsafe to drive in rainy conditions. I hydroplaned coming home from work into a grassy field due to the suspension being unstable and jerky even when doing 20 under the speed limit. The salesperson and manager were very nice but we’re very persistent that I buy the car and now I can’t drive my car feeling safe. If I had to do it over again I would have kept my reliable, safe car and not contacted the manager again after persistent texting and calling from the manager even after I looked at the car and decided I wasn’t buying it.

Scammed to get me there, then try to sale me other

I was lied to and scammed by the lies to get me there. Then when I got there I was waiting for the salesman who I had been talking to on the phone about the truck to come out with the keys. This salesman already knew exactly what I was looking for and the price I could pay and how I needed to be able to finance the truck. He assured me that they could do all of that. It took him about 10 minutes to actually come out and he had what they called the floor manager with him who I had never talked to. The floor manager is the one who done all of the talking at this point and told me that he didn’t understand why people kept putting a deposit on the truck and then not showing up. He also told me that someone had put a deposit on the truck earlier this morning and that I couldn’t get it. Supposably before I called and made an appointment to see the truck. They let me make the appointment and then didn’t tell me before I got there that I couldn’t test out the truck. They knew how far I was coming to see it. He offered to show me other trucks that absolutely were not what I was looking for and the salesman already knew this. Also the trucks he wanted to show me were not in my price range and the salesman already knew that too. And this older model truck that would usually be somewhere in the back of the lot was in the third row back and near the end of the row near an entrance. It’s very much eye catcher being the kind of truck it is and the color it is. You could very easily see it from the road, to draw people in and then try to sale them something that they don’t really won’t or can’t afford. I was very let down by the way they done me and I had actually trusted the salesman up till this point and also liked working with him. This was wrong all the way around and the only thing they offered was to pay for the gas and then they never came back out to pay for it.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! Worse car buying experience ever! Got the car home and had many, many issues to the point it's not driveable. Called and spoke with 4 different salesman and the manager who all promised to look into it and call me back. Never received a single call back. Never tried to help resolve any of my issues. My temporary tag has died and I haven't received a permanent. Dmv said it was never submitted by the carlot who I can't get to look into this issue either. Very unprofessional!!

Lie after lie after lie.

Lie after lie after lie. Promised the mood but was caught in multiple lies, both the salesman and the manager, Bruce. Plenty of better dealerships around that are honest and not deceptive.
