Bad experience! Contacted for used vehicle, email then called setting up appointment for the after work that day with sales contact. Received confusing... email after set appointment, if I was still interested, reminded I was already on schedule. Arrived at dealer for my schedule time, sales contact calls me from inside the dealership (I’m in the building) and says the car was sold but if I was there or on way then he could show me another option. Either it was a setup, because the car that’s “sold” is still listed for sale as a “great deal” or this sales consultant knew the car was gone and didn’t care just getting a lead. He tried to tell me it was a “hot” car but was on all websites for over 60 days listed as slow moving. I believe something is amiss in their practices and that’s a sign of shady practices. Do not trust the dealer if that’s the case and Berman qualifies.

Stay clear!! On 11/8/18 the service department drove my 2016 WRX through their service bay door. It caused serious damages to my car and their building.... (See photos). The dealership so far has agreed to fix the car, however the damages don’t end there. I’m a full time Uber driver and now unable to work because the loaner car they gave me to use doesn’t have a registration card with it. When I ask the GM, he told me they won’t give me one because I’ve hired an attorney. I have also under Illinois law, requested lost wages and the lost value in my vehicle from the wreck. They had denied the request! Per Illinois law I am entitled to lost wages and the lost value of my car. They have also refused to show me the camera footage of the accident. They claim the tech slipped on water with my car and it lunged forward, going sideways into the garage. When you see the photos you will see the car hit the garage nose first. At the end of the day, they treat their customers like garbage. They don’t care that I’m unable to work or pay my bills right now. They also left me sitting in the dealership from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm when they finally got up the courage to tell me they wrecked my car. STAY CLEAR!!!
I just wanted to let you know how nice of an experience I had when I purchased my car from Mid City Subaru. In this day and age when bad news travels faster... than good news, I try to take it upon myself to acknowledge superior customer service. Adam Markiewicz was my sales person. He went above and beyond for me. The day before I purchased the car was the same day I saw the car online. Adam went outside with his personal cell phone and was my eyes and ears as he walked around the car describing to me in detail what he saw. He also started the car to insure me that there were no warning lights on and that it operated normally. I told Adam I wanted the car and he said he would hold it for me until I arrive. He assured me that he would be working when I arrived. I live in Kansas City, so I had to fly into Chicago. Adam advised me on the airport and requested me to contact him, on his personal cell phone, upon arrival. Next, he instructed me on how to get to the subway train, the cost and which station to get off. He then wanted me to contact him once I was off the train and he arrived within a few minutes to pick me up and take me to your dealership. He was so courteous. It was a cold day. He greeted me with a smile. He had the car warm and the passengers heated seat on, very nice! Great first impression! When we arrived at the dealership, I don’t think I ever touched the entrance or exit doors to the dealership as Adam always held the door open for me. When I first saw the car, it was spotless. He had told me the day before that he would have it washed and ready for me. He backed up his words. He then went over the functions of the vehicle and we went for a test drive. I was sold! I am so pleased with the courteous and professional service I received along with Adams honesty, the car was just as Adam described. If the rest of your staff is a courteous, thoughtful and pleasant to deal with as Adam Markiewicz, you are truly blessed. My entire purchase experience was very comfortable. It should be a happy experience when investing in a vehicle. Thank you Adam for making that happen.

i was helped by a gentleman named Xavier Miller. He was helpful by answering all my questions and getting my into a car i wanted at a reasonable price.... He helped my set up my phone and waze for the Subaru and gave me tips while driving/using a Subaru! Would highly recommend!

I did not purchase our 2 Subarus at Berman, but I wish I had. I have had both Subarus we own serviced here and they are friendly and honest. I always thought... suburban dealerships were better than big city dealerships, but not anymore, this place is a class act. Next time I purchase, it will be here. And I will continue to service our vehicles right here.

We are extremely happy with our purchase in Berman Subaru. We just purchased a brand new 2018 Forester Premium with our sales agent Jeannette and manager/finance... (jack of all trades), Glenn. My wife and I have been car shopping for weeks. We even traveled all the way to the suburbs late nights multiple times just to find better deals. Many other dealerships tried manipulating the prices and putting a lot of pressure in the car buying process. However, after all that, we found the best deal and experience Berman, which is ironically a few blocks away from us. Jeanette was personable, sincere, honest, knowledgeable and makes you feel at ease. By the time we entered the dealership, the attention to detail and well-preparedness of Jeannette made us feel comfortable. Our car was already washed and ready for a test drive. She was very patient and answered all our questions with a smile. You can tell who are those people who enjoy their job and also enjoys helping others to get the best deal. She was straightforward and clean cut. We never felt rushed. By the time we met Glenn, it gave us more confidence in the buying process. He was very knowledgeable, honest, patient and understanding. He explained our finance on point and benefits we can get. My wife is pregnant and they were both very considerate of her needs. You wouldn't feel like your being suffocated in a dealership. Would recommend this place to friends and family? Absolutely. If I can give them more stars than 5, I would. Would I buy again? Definitely! unfortunately, Subaru doesn't break or go bad easily.. so it'll be a long time. Overall, the best car buying experience for my wife and I. Thanks Jeannette!!!

Sold two cars to berman subaru due to the fact they have the best trade in value of any other dealer in the area. I had different plans and extra vehicles,... and I went to Mason Lies to see what they could give me. We were given very fair trade in values for both vehicles off the bat, and decided to sell them to Berman. The paperwork took no longer than 15 minutes. Mason is great, knowledgable, and very fair.
