Let Down!

Scheduled a test drive with Shannon four days in advance and told them I would be driving from over 3 hours away. Told them I didn't want to be surprised by anything driving from such a long distance. Got a nice confirmation email with all the details about the COVID era test drive protocol. Checked in with dealership the day before test drive and was told the test drive was on. Arrived for the test drive and was told that it had a bad starter and would not run. What!!!? No phone call, no email? Looked over the vehicle, the photos on the website did not show the many areas of obvious damage (dented door panel, holes through the truck bed, damaged/rusted bumper). Buyer beware! This group lacks transparency and failed to provide my expected level of customer service. One star for their offer to drive it to me once the starter got fixed. 8 hours not entirely wasted, enjoyed the time on the road with my son.

Greg answered all my questions via text about the SUV I had my eyes on. He came in on his day off (2 days before Christmas at 630 in the evening) to meet my husband and I, test drive and sign papers. The process was quick, easy and everyone was super friendly!

Lexus

Nicole was very patient and took me on many test drives to ensure I found the best car for me. I normally dread shopping for cars, but she was amazing! If you want a non pressure salesperson you should definitely ask for her.

The purchase went well and Noah is responsible for this. Especially with financing. That's always the most important aspect with car buying and Noah Elkind made it go smoothly.

Great Alfa buying experience!

I recently leased an Alfa Giulia at this dealership and dealt with Keili the sales lady. Jack and Ray assisted with financing and the paperwork. All were very polite and courteous. I was very happy with my experience at this dealership and would highly recommend them to anyone in the Portland area looking for an Alfa Romeo.

Trying to be a Luxury Dealership - not succeeding

Purchased a 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio after much consideration and some internal debate with myself. My biggest concerns I had to overcome were longevity of the brand (still an unknown) and the quality of service at the dealership (which I am now learning my fears were correct). I have owned 3 Infiniti's and currently own a Mercedes - both brands have outstanding customer service and really take care of their customers after the sale. Any time I need or needed service for either the Infiniti or the Mercedes I was offered a loaner car regardless of the service (as would be expected with a luxury brand). Alfa Romeo is marketed as a luxury brand and unfortunately this dealership operates on a much lower level. In the sales process I specifically asked about a loaner car during service and was assured that Alfa owners always got an Alfa loaner - just scheduled my first maintenance appointment and (surprise) they only provide loaners if the service will be more than 2 hours in length. I was leery of this dealership and I was correct, they want to be a luxury dealership but they are far from it. In hindsight I should have purchased from a dealer in the Seattle area where the Alfa brand is paired with another luxury brand and they understand how to take care of a client before, during and after the sale. Very disappointing, but shame on me for not going with my gut on this one...

Pushy staff,

The lady who sold me the car didnt know a thing about the car (even how to turn the lights on). Caught her lying about 4 times. To the salespersons there, be more chill take it easy and dont put too much pressure on your client. I almost ended up leaving during the sell process. The car is fine just treat your clients nice.

Terrible expierience with the Service Dept

i have had a really bad problem with their service department...i have an issue with the average mpg meter....it started jumping around after a few thousand miles...i took it in to Tonkin Fiat numerous times and they did their "diagnostic testing" but didn't bother to test drive it to see the problem in action...like trying to fix a TV without turning it on....this went on over numerous visits for months...i wanted to get the problem fixed while the car was still under warrantee. i finally took a video with my iphone of the avg mpg meter jumping all over the place and i emailed it to the sevice manager J.L. So, finally after tons more aggravation than i would want to ever experience, they said they would replace the instrument panel because it was probably corrupted...J.L. said to drop my car off and he would order the part...he said the car needed to be in the shop, when the part was ordered, so they could properly calibrate the new instrument panel...So great...i brought the car in on 9/19/15. And now 10 days later no part has been ordered and they are telling me again they can't find anything wrong with my car...i spoke to the manager David Rahy to complain that they have had my car promising me it would be fixed, and they have done nothing...They are blaming FIAT...they should have cleared the repair of my car with FIAT before i brought it in. They are taking no responsibility at all for handling this really badly...i live over 40 miles away from the dealership, and i brought my car in for nothing....all they are doing is torturing it with more "Diagnostic Testing". i didn't even give my permission for that...i only gave my permission to replace the corrupted part. To add insult to injury they gave me a disgustingly dirty loaner car, that has either food, or some bodily excretion on the passenger seat, and the passenger side window makes horrible noises when it is opened. So much angst and aggravation over a very badly handled repair, or lack there-of...This company makes Comcast Customer Service look good. UGH! I will NEVER go to TONKIN "ANTHING" EVER AGAIN!
