DO NOT BRING VEHICLE WITH AFTERMARKET PARTS!

DO NOT BRING VEHICLE WITH AFTERMARKET PARTS!!! EXTREMELY RUDE AND ARGUMENTATIVE!!! If I could give a negative amount of stars I would. I brought my truck in for a compression test. Told them not to flash my truck or do anything with the ecm/tcm because I had tunes flashed on it. Waited six days for a call back that my truck was done and it passed the test and nothing seemed wrong. Came to pick it up and the original service representative I was dealing with disappeared and all of the sudden I was dealing with someone else. The guy pulls my truck around and goes to hand me the keys with the dashboard lit up like a christmas tree. Says they didn’t do anything to the truck and they don’t know why it’s like that. I check the codes and two of them are from the coolant system sensors (where the compression test was done). I go back and tell the service representative that the truck is in limp mode because of something they did with the test because the codes coming up are from the coolant system so I ask if they could look at it again if I left the truck with them. The service representative then proceeded to get in an argument about how they cant test do the test on an aftermarket coolant tank and lines and that it actually failed the compression test… after they told me everything was fine. I tell him thats not what they told me…they said everything passed. He then goes back to talk to the mechanic who worked on my truck (i would assume) and comes back with no answer but that they can replace all of my aftermarket parts with GM products if I wanted to pay for that done. I asked if that was the case why did they not call me before they did anything when I was clear the truck was aftermarket when dropping it off and he said I didn’t tell them I had aftermarket coolant parts. Nobody tells any mechanic every aftermarket part that is on their vehicle before dropping it off to get work done. Standard procedure would be to examine the vehicle before doing anything. I would have gladly taken a phone call saying they cant do the diagnostics on my truck rather than the predicament I am in now. At this point I have had enough and the representative was escalating the situation further just trying to get me to leave knowing they are sending me out of there with a broken vehicle that did not have any issues before I brought it there. The truck was limp mode and I was running late for an appointment so I left it in their parking lot. End up coming back trying to fix it MYSELF because they refused to help me any further. I could not fix it so I brought it to another shop. That shop has now determined that they actually did flash the vehicle after being told not to from the beginning AND the service representative lying straight to my face saying they did not do anything to it. At this point I don’t even believe they did a compression test which I was still charged $160. All in all I paid for a diagnostic test (which might or might not have actually been done) and was returned a vehicle that did not run with no assistance from them to get it back to driving. If they were honest and apologized this could have went a lot differently because I could have solved the issue myself but now I will have to pay another shop just to solve the issues this service department created. Being this is a dealership one would assume this is not a shady and scammer mechanic shop but they have proved themselves to be no better. I will never step foot in another dealership service department again after what happened here. It is absolutely appalling that they can get away with doing this to people. Stay far away from Chaparral.

Easily set up appointment online.

Easily set up appointment online. Employees are ALWAYS friendly, knowledgeable and willing to take the extra time to explain and make sure you understand. I have always been completely satisfied with this dealership and have delt with them for years. We have purchased many cars and trucks with this dealership.
