Parts manager made a costly mistake.
Parts manager made a costly mistake. Sending me away with the impression that my 07 was too old for them to work on and a possibly $200 transmission, thermostat ended up costing me a possibly $6000 rebuild on transmission. Spoke to each department, including the store manager, which all of them refused to acknowledge the mistake. And Thank you. PeriodI have always had nothing but respect for toyota. And have Dreamed of owning a tundra for a long time i spent over 10 grand For the truck and all Robin's Toyota manager could tell me is that the transmission was likely already about to go out due to the high mileage. Which, according to most would say.180000 is just getting them broke in needless to say, I will not be recommending anybody to Robin's Toyota. So I would say, not a good policy to tell me that that is considered hi mileage and lucky that I didn't have it go out before then. Even though he admitted that the thermostat was definitely a factor. In the transmission going out when it did but yet still no responsibility on their part. Very sad that Toyota, as a company has to put up with small business like this.
