My son purchased a car thru them. Not a week later it had leaked all the anti-freeze out and overheated. The cause was a slow leak at the hoses. I brought... this to the attention of Dave Osborn who was the person my son had dealt with. He stated that there was no way it was leaking when we purchased because it took so long to leak out. Again, it was a SLOW leak. We asked if they would assist in the cost of the repairs. They declined. We had other work done at the same time. We did not expect them to help with the other work. We were not asking for too much. I have been in the Automotive Field for 35 years. If this had happened to one of our customer at ANY of the dealerships I had worked at they would have offered some type of assistance. I guess the places like this does not value a customer! I would not recommend ANYONE buy a car here. I talk to a lot of people who buy cars and I will tell anyone I know. Sorry, Dave, we gave you a chance to help, but alas, the answer was no. Oh, and they forgot to perform an emissions test required by law!
I was interested in a vehicle from this dealership, I was ready to put a deposit on the vehicle so it would not be sold. This was after many days of questioning... via the phone. Then i was told they would look into the bid value of my trade in, I was not contacted back. After 5 days I called back and was told that my vehicle was not going to retrieve the dollar amount that they had originally offered. Then when I expressed my being upset at no return call, I get excuses. Then after a polite thank you for your time and an end to the transaction i recieved a call back saying that there was still on place to check . I feel the lack of attention to detail, and no follow through could have easily been avoided. I've been in the service industry over 25 years and not one to complain often. But this warranted my negative review.
Our experience at Choice One Motors was great. I felt like the salesmen were very knowledgeable about the vehicles in terms of what repairs had been done,... what maintenance was likely needed in the future, and honest about the condition of the vehicles. We felt like we got excellent value for our money. We bought a Ford F-350 in great shape for what we had budgeted. It was in good cosmetic condition as well as mechanical. I will look at Choice One Motors first when I go to look for my next truck.
Thank you Christina! We really try to make each buying experience a pleasant one and it's always great when we get this kind of feedback.
So I will be honest, I have lived here all my life and I never thought that buying a vehicle at a small dealership near federal Blvd was a good idea. Boy... was I wrong! It all started when casually looking on CL and ran across a truck that peaked my interest, it was sold at Choice One Motors. At this time it was kinda late (9 or 10pm) and I noticed the was a number to text to ask questions, brilliant concept, the price was very reasonable and I inquired about it's availability. I was responded back to very quickly and I now had plans to see the truck the following day. When I first arrived I was promptly greeted by George Grunden Jr he asked what brought me in and I explained to him what I needed and with a short discussion we concluded that I needed something bigger. I really liked how honest he was, he wasn't trying to just sell me something. He was more interested in what I needed and the importance of saftey and reliability. We make are way around to one I really liked and we talked about the different options. After a long talk he took me inside to go through the cars history, he made me feel really comfortable and I was getting closer and closer to signing. But me just being me had I to go home and think on it and told him I would be in touch. His attitude remained positive and he gave me his card and said he would see me soon! When I returned a few days later I had the pleasure of meeting Dave Osborn. You could tell he had been in the business for a good time because of his extensive knowledge. I explained my previous experience and we had a good conversation of what my needs were and my future plans. I asked him a few technical questions and was amazed on the answers I got, to me it's all about my comfortably. Again I was shocked on the amount of detail and care they had for the buyer, I think something no-one these days are used to. We went out to my desired truck and he first stated he had not been through this vehicle personally, so we could now do it together. He told me he had some experience in diesel engines( which I knew nothing)and went through the vehicle like he was my personal mechanic looking for defects. I was extremely impressed and thankful with the thoroughness I received and was ready to take the next step. With no time at all we had a payment plan that worked well for both of us and I now had my new truck! Never in my wildest dreams I could have imagined it being any easier or a better experience. I want to point something out, I have actually worked for several of the bigger dealerships before and I can GUARANTEE you will not get a 1/10 of that service and attention. Just not cost effective for them. I would advise anyone looking for a used vehicle to check them out, they have all kinds of different options and best prices around! They will treat you like your part of the family! Thank you Choice One Motors! Customer for life Scott Weber
I contacted Dave about a vehicle that was listed online. Prior to traveling 1000 miles, I asked a lot of questions and Dave was very straight forward and... honest. Unfortunately, his honesty prevented me from buying this particular vehicle, however, I will certainly be watching their website for something else that will work for me. Thank you.
Called to buy a truck today from this place and the lady didn't seem like she cared for my business even tho their website says they help with bad credit... and that it's a buy here pay here lot which I couldn't do a friend recommended me so I trusted it would be a good place to buy a truck from guess I was way wrong
We just purchased a used Ford pickup. George (the owner) was very helpful in finding the right truck for pulling a horse trailer. The process was easy,... he took care of a few items that needed to be done. They promised to replace the battery, but the day after we got it, the battery was dead. I bought one and had it put in. I called George on it and he apologized and sent me a check for the battery without request.
After visiting several places with my dad who was looking for a used truck to replace his old junker, I was glad to have found Choice One Motors on cars.com.... My dad was determined to find his "new" ride that day and had to talk me into going but upon arrival we were greeted by the sales guy, Dave, and thus the process began. Dave was a breath of fresh air after speaking with the other sales folks; most of them were unhelpful, lacked knowledge, and were way over priced. Dave was friendly, knew what he was talking about, and seemed to be priced fairly. Now for the disappointing part of the experience; My dad had just finished signing all the paperwork (after a test drive and such of course) and we were leaving to head back to our part of town (drove from down south) when we noticed a healthy leak from under the front end. Dave seemed to try and quickly dismiss it but there was a good puddle and not what you want to see from a vehicle you just purchased. Come to find out, the tranny needed work - seal/gasket was bad, it was leaking tranny fluid, and would cost my dad an extra $800+. Dave did offer to bring it in his own shop (which is very nice) and see what they could do... of course this brings more money to Choice One Motors... all said and done they did offer to cover some of the costs (less than half) but overall the situation just leaves a sour taste in the mouth. I wonder, looking back, if this issue was known and not disclosed knowing they could get the price of truck and cost of repairs in the shop. I certainly hope not!
While it's never been our policy at Choice One Motors to be argumentative or confrontational with any of our customers I would like to follow up this ...review with an update that includes a few minor corrections. While it's true that Choice One participated for $368 on a $868 shop bill to repair the truck, it should also be noted that Oldman from Denver's dad had agreed to pay approximately $500 for the repair on the truck and when Choice One got it apart the technician found the torque converter was needing to be replaced. While the tech could have just replaced the seal as agreed only to have the leak recur in a few months, It was the decision of the owner of Choice One Motors to not only replace the damaged converter with a new one but to absorb the additional cost as well since it was something that no one could have seen on the surface before getting into it, and also as an effort to help a customer who had recently purchased a truck from us even though it was sold as is with no warranty implied. It should also be noted that Oldman from Denver's dad must be happy with Choice One Motors and their treatment of him since he was just in getting some more work done in our shop last week (unrelated to the previous incident).
THEY ARE VERSY HONEST AND UPFRONT NO MEANS AND YES MEANS YES GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Dan. Your positive feedback is greatly appreciated
