After buying a truck from here I can honestly say I have first hand experience with the business owner. Due to our good experience purchasing our truck we came back again. But now based on Kirk's actions and experiencing first hand how he treats his returning customers I would highly recommend you search for a vehicle elsewhere. He does not care for you and your time spent going out of your way to hand him money, he doesn't even care if you come back to buy another vehicle ever again, he just wants that specific one off his lot so he can put another one in it's place. He will wait until your scheduled meeting time to send you a text message stating that he sold the vehicle you were currently pulling into his lot to purchase. (Obviously he claims he didn't know I wanted it, yet he himself is the one who called me last night, 12 hours before selling it from under me, and told me to ask for Tyler in Marlette for the keys to test drive it and that I could then bring money to Wolverine in Bad Axe where he works, to hand him the money and sign the papers. He even suggested that if needed we could do the transaction where he lives up in Port Austin. {Again, all about what's convenient for him...} How else would I know Whipporwill Haven Dr/Port Austin Rd intersection across from Thompson park? Maybe because we planned a purchase for this morning? Maybe because I was the one going out of my way driving down south to Marlette and then back north to Bad Axe or Port Austin, to give this guy my money? But instead, at 9am as I'm less then 3 miles from his car lot I get told, "Sorry a girl came in this morning and bought it."

I bought a car from Hines Auto Sales and not even a month later it broke down. I took it to another shop and they said that there was no anti-freeze in the car only water in that tank. I called Hines and told them that they had neglected to realize this and asked them if they had done an inspection on the car. They said they had inspected it, but not noticed. How can you be a mechanic and not know the difference between anti-freeze and water? Either they did not really check the car or they are very poor mechanics. I asked them to fix the car and they refused to do it for free and after a week of negotiating with them and telling them that I had talked to many mechanics and dealers who said that they would have fixed this problem for free they finally agreed to fix it for the price of parts. I took in the car and it was not fixed after being there for a week and a half. After calling and checking on the progress and finding this out they said that they were busy, like my car was not a priority at all and they would get around to it when they felt like it. Then, after I asked them when it would be done and if they planned on fixing it any time soon they said that they refused to fix it anymore and to get the car off of their lot, as well as charging me an outrageous amount for one hose they had put in. I have heard a similiar story about a car bought from Hines breaking down soon after being purchased and them refusing to fix it. These people were very rude to me and lied multiple times. I would never trust them or buy a car from them and would reccomend that no one else buy from them either.

I have now bought cars from Tyler Hines on 3 seperate occasions. I would recommend him and his dealership to anyone looking for a quality vehicle at a great price. Hines Auto sales offers a wide variety of automobiles on his lot and Tyler is very knowledgeable about all kinds of cars and trucks. You wont go wrong buying from Hines Auto Sales. Not to mention thier location is so easy to find and if any of my vehicles need service I can go back and Tyler will see to it I am taken good care of...Really glad they are there

Tyler is an excellent person to buy a car from, he is on the ball and honest, whatever he knows about the car he will tell you, he will take a deposit and hold a car for you for a short period of time if you are getting the money together. Over all I give Tyler and his dealership 5 stars out of 5!

Tyler was very easy to work with. He worked around my schedule and was able to meet me when I needed to. His cars were clean and easy to take for a test drive. I love my new car and will recommend him to my friends and family.
