I recently purchased a great car from Chip's. My initial contact was a visit to the dealership to view the car. It was then that I met Joe. I immediately... appreciated his friendly and professional approach. We subsequently exchanged emails and follow up phone calls. Joe was also prompt and communicative. I decided to make the purchase and Joe handled everything seamlessly. I also had the opportunity to meet Chip who was personable and reinforced my decision to purchase the car from the dealership. The car is everything that it was represented to be, which was a very well maintained vehicle in excellent condition. I highly recommend Chip's Auto sales. Alan.
Shopped online for a certain car which they had for a great price. Joe was very accommodating with my emails and questions and letting me do a PPI nearby... on the car before coming up from Delaware. Buying from out of state, you never know what you're going to get in person, but i trusted them and made the 4 hour one way trip to Milford. Saw the car and was exactly as they said and advertised! We then took the Sat to get my financing etc squared away and off I drove back home with my brand new used! Now dealing with registration etc, but they have been patient with me. Overall satisfied customer and would recommend without hesitation!,..but again, used cars are used cars so who knows about other reviews, but do your homework on buying used cars and you should be good to go.
Shopping on line and found the car I was looking for. After reading the first review I did some checking on my own. Turns out that almost every car I looked... up on chips web site were priced a thousand or two UNDER retail book value. I looked up the values on NADA on line. I bought my civic for 2275.00 UNDER the retail value at 10990.00 wich was the on line price. wich by the way the car fax said the value of the car was 380.00 above retail wich means I should have paid 13275 + 380 (13655) for the car. it was a great deal. so much for bad info on the first review. Purchased a used car. They lied. Within 30 days of the expiration of the temp plate I had to spend thousands of dollars to replace the rear differential.... Our lives were placed at risk. They will not deny this, nor will they. An unscrupulous business. Be afraid, be very afraid. Get an independent mechanic and warranty. Better yet go elsewhere. I have filed a formal complaint with BBB and Carfax. I will reach out to regulators.
After being in business for 43 years and having an A+ Rating with the Better Business Bureau, we do not, under any circumstances lie to customers. Thi...s customer (a lawyer no less) was well aware that the 2006 Mercedes with 137,000 miles, that was purchased for $6,500, was an excellent running car that was freshly serviced, including new brakes. We used the vehicle several times ourselves with no issue. There was no written proof submitted as to any repairs performed on the car. The symptom described does not in any way place anyone's life at risk. We at Chip's hope everyone has a great experience with their purchase and we do our very best to hand select quality vehicles in all price ranges. BBB investigated this claim and after reviewing the paperwork closed the case without finding any fault by our dealership.
Can't get anymore shady than this place. Didn't even get to look at the car.
This person exhibited hostel, bizarre behavior and we felt it was in everyone's best interest for them to shop elsewhere. Prior to leaving the propert...y, he and is girlfriend engaged in a loud, verbal altercation. We work to make sure that everyone has a positive experience at Chip's, including our staff.
Found a great car. The staff & sales people were supportive and provided good service and information to make the purchase of the car a good one.
I bought a pre owned Mercedes from Chip and will do it again without hesitation. Great people great prices excellent service do yourself a favor and go... buy a car from them. Wow! I've dealt with a lot of dealers in my time but these guys are up there on the top of my list! The car is in excellent condition (allowing for it... being 17 years old), Joe was very helpful and straightforward about everything. Chip and Sam backed him up in the office. Everything was as stated and ready when I came up to get the car, and then the extra care kicked up a notch! Any extras they could provide to make my life easier were there. Follow-up phone calls to make sure that I was satisfied. I haven't been treated this well with dealers that I knew personally... Super buying experience. Ive already started handing out their business cards. In the words of the Terminator, "I'll be back".
Salesmen was very professional. Only complain was top didn't work on car and we had traveled quite a ways to see it.
