WOW just drove our 1st Mini home and we could not be more...

WOW just drove our 1st Mini home and we could not be more excited...... We had no idea how exciting and well engineered a Mini is .... but are now happy and proud owners thanks to Kyle and Emme..... In addition to a great car, the buying experience was a complete pleasure..... we had so much learning about a car we had never been in before.... Emme, your the best and thank you for your patience and professionalism...Love our new Mini

Buyer Beware

I rarely make reviews but after purchasing a lemon from this dealership I had to warn others. I recently purchased a 2011 2 door hardtop Mini from this dealership and it was the worst purchase I have ever made, and I have purchased many used vehicles in the past. Please take these words of warning to heart and reconsider buying from this dealership! After purchasing a 2011 used Mini from Schomp Mini in December I immediately started having problems. I test drove this vehicle twice with no apparent issues and decided to pull the trigger on it. On the drive home the sway bar ends busted and the dealership had to come pick up the car and fix it, which they did at no cost as I was still within the 2 day cool-down period and could have returned the car. I live in Los Angeles and decided to drive the car back to LA, cancelling my return flight. The drive home to LA was uneventful although as SOON as I made it to LA the car immediately started experiencing mechanical problems... First the warning bulb indicator came on which ended up being the driver's side tail light housing that MELTED which meant I had to replace the whole housing at about $200. Then the real problems started..the car lost power out of nowhere, I received a loss of power indicator light and the car barely made it home....This was ONE WEEK after buying the car. I have spent the last couple of months going from Mini dealership to mechanic shop trying to diagnose the problem, which started as "its probably bad spark plugs and ignition coils...will fix for $2000", which I fixed, to now "oh that didn't fix the problem, now we know the real problem, it's either the high pressure fuel pump, low pressure fuel pump, transfer fuel pump...or JBE box...we have to replace EVERYTHING to fix the real issue ...at another $3000!" SCHOMP Mini refused to take any sort of responsibility whatsoever (and to think I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt), all I got from them was "well it was fine when we sold it" and "should have bought the extended warranty, not our problem now...you are past the 1000 mile limited warranty we offer". The vehicle was a complete lemon and lemon laws only cover new cars, Schomp Mini knows this and they clearly don't inspect their used cars prior to resale. Word of advice, DO NOT buy from this dealership...and if you do, either make sure it's a new car under warranty, or a used car under the extended warranty plan (either theirs or buy your own immediately). Schomp will absolutely NOT stand by their vehicles and they do not inspect their used cars. Do yourself a favor...go elsewhere.
