BUYER BEWARE. Literally get a car from any other dealership, brand etc. They are hustlers and after they sell ya. You can go f**k your self for all they... care. They are trained to care about a one time sale not a lifetime of returning customers
I want you to take all the bad experiences and negative feelings you have about car sales and throw them all away. My wife and I came here to look for... a replacement car, I myself have had good experience with used toyota's my wife heard good things, we were both on the defensive, as my first dealership experience was like a Hostage negotiation. We went in and amazingly we wasn't swarmed and pressured from the start. Joe talked to us and was super friendly, and listened to what we said and got us into a car we love. It was simple, straight forward, and absolutely no hassle. Rather than feeling like they wanted us to buy everything they offered to add onto the car. They presented what was available and let us choose. Best car buying experience i have ever had. Never thought i could look at a dealership from the main road and smile. I have been buying cars for a long time and I have to say not only was this the very best experience I have had but no others can even come close. Just... a few years ago I would have never considered a Toyota. I'm not sure I'll ever do business at another dealer again.
I had a quick express oil change and it took over 2.5 hours. Looking for a new or used vehicle and not one sales person asked if I needed help after 2... hours. I had to go and ask for help and they seemed like I was bothering them. maybe it was the way I was dressed like I couldn't afford a vehicle. They lost out on a cash sale because of no service and the negligence in customer service. I purchased a Ford the next day. Very unfortunate for not providing the service that normally comes with the toyota brand loyalty.

I noticed my car was starting to squeak when it was cold. I made an appointment and took it in to get it service and get the sound checked out. I was told... I needed to replace the Serpentine belt (It did not look worn to me) I was assured this would fix the issue. $180 later I started my car at the dealership and it still squeaked. I had to get 2 recall repairs done so I called to get them repaired and also to have the squeaking looked at again. Took me over a month to get an appointment (lack of parts). Once I got my car in there I was told that the squeaking was being caused by my water pump leaking and it needed replaced. They also found that my Front Crank Seal needed to be replaced it was leaking fluid. I was quoted $780 to do this repair. My issue is I paid to have this unit check out and also serviced and the people doing the work not only did not find ANYTHING wrong they repaired something that did not need it. When I asked the service rep about this he told me "Well the guys that do the service work probably just guessed. I took your car back where the real Toyota guys are and had them check it out this time". The people that service your car and are supposed to LOOK and see if there are any obvious wear and tear as your vehicle ages. They did not do that. In fact they "just guessed". Then when I went to retrieve my car my front licence plate was bent out and away from my car. It looked like a crushed can! The service rep took it off and used the ground as an anvil to pound it back into shape. So now my licence plate looks like an old beat up hat. I was told it was because they did not take it off before running it through the car was like they were supposed to. To top this all off I contacted Travis Zmak the service manager directly and he never responded to me. I also called a different place and I was quoted $350 for the same work this place wants to charge me $780 for. Avoid this dealer if you can.
I purchased an extended warranty for 2000.00 through teton toyota and my car broke down 20 miles after I got it fixed (so they said)..... the warranty... company they use is national warranty corporation out of eugene oregon. The response back for a new engine was the following... we want all proof of oil changes since you owned the car, I collected all proof for 65,000 miles of oil changes and at one point in time my father had changed my oil. Due to the fact that we had changed our oil once at home and didnt keep the reciept for the oil and filter purchase from 4 years ago .. they declined my warranty and I am out of a car and am currently down 7,000 dollars due to their warranty company. The management never calls you back when they say will..... there are a few nice genuine staff members but overall I wouldnt recomend this place to buy a new car. The management is currently working on a deal with the warranty company and I will repost a new and up to date rating if things change for the good of the consumer.
Great staff, great selection, great all around! Teton is by far the best car dealership in the Southeast Idaho area. They are a fairly new dealership and... it seems like they want to make a wave in a market that is otherwise plagued by dealerships that have been around since the companies that they sell cars for. The other dealers are not as proactive or flexible as T.T. They won't negotiate or hear you out and when you have an issue with your car usually they won't help at all. Teton Toyota will help you every step of the way. They want you to come back and they work hard to make that happen. I will be buying many vehicles here in the future! They can't please everybody, by from what I've heard from other people who have bought there 99.9% of the people that walk out of there are happy.
A little history We live 170 miles one way from Idaho Falls. We have purchased eleven or twelve vehicles from Teton Toyota in Idaho Falls, some new some... used. The first pick up I traded in (Mario the owner) gave me some advise as he left for the evening don let them beat you down on your trade it is in great shape. Our salesman Jeff Gibbons has never pressured us to buy anything, in fact it has been just the opposite the wife wanted the new 2012 Camry and Mario told her there is nothing wrong with the 2011 Camry you have now (thanks Mario). All the staff has always bent over backwards to make feel like family and have always respected our wishes. A big thank you to Teton Toyota A couple weeks ago the wife was in Idaho Falls and was in a little fender bender and when she got home she call Teton Toyota to ask the best body shop to get the truck repaired. A couple weeks later I took the pick up back to Teton Toyota they gave me a rental and took my truck across town to the body shop and a week later after the dents had been repaired they went over and picked it up and took it back to the dealership and service and washed my truck, then they called me so I could drive the 170 miles that afternoon to pick it up. To me that is service above and beyond the call.
They just want to make money and screw the customer over. Know your facts before you buy from them if not you will pay more then the car is worth. I would... recommend going to another dealer.
