    This place claims to be "like carmax" with there no haggle prices. However the car I was looking at had various problems with it. Carmax would... not sell a car like that. I was asked to come back at a later time to get the car fixed which I had no problem, but when myself and my father asked if we would get a discount for a the incovience our salesman responded rudely and would not. Car buying is a very emotional and stressful process and fairfax motors did not make it any easier.

    Daniel was a great salesman and the whole crew bent over backwards to accommodate and get me into the car I wanted. I wouldn't hesitate to return if I... was in the market for another car.

    I had to write a review for this dealership simply because it was the best and easiest car deal I have ever made. I searched for several months and finally... found the best deal here at Fairfax Motors. I think I met everyone in the place before my deal was done. Everyone was so friendly and helped me with my financing. I got a great rate and even a better monthly payment than I expected. And I didn't have to sell my first born to get the car. I know the car I purchased is dependable and will last for years. I want to thank the owner Andy for giving me peace of mind in this purchase!!! I am sending all my friends and family to you! Stock up your inventory please!

    This dealership is family oriented, pleasant and everyone that works there is nice. I looked at several vehicles that were in excellent condition. The... pricing I found to be awesome, competitively speaking. Patrick, John and Laura made this an easy decision. Great job you all!!!

    I purchase a new vehicle every 2-years so I'm VERY tuned in to the process, I'm about the most laid back person you can meet probably to my fault with... this experience. This isn't an angry review just a VERY disappointed review in what had the potential to be a good experience given the correct professionalism and attentiveness. The salesman I dealt with (Pat) is a very nice and polite individual but is on the short end of the stick in the area of professionalism and attentiveness when it comes to the customer currently in front of him!! I was there ready and prepared to purchase a $37,000 vehicle, while sitting at Pat's desk he's kept answering the business phone interrupting our conversation (I could understand that if shorthanded), but the truly annoying part was he also kept answering his personal cellphone and texting during our interaction. He told me he had another customer that flew up from Florida and was waiting to purchase a vehicle (OK), he told me people routinely fly in from around the country to by vehicles from Fairfax Motors. He also went on to state he had an additional customer also waiting, I'm sorry I am I interrupting something?? Long story short after crunching numbers (in between all of the interruptions) my next statement really stumped him when I said my primary residence is in Florida and that's where the vehicle needs to be registered. Pat stated he wasn't sure how that would work that he didn't know how to calculate Florida sales tax and came up with a ridiculous amount. I said hold on and went to my vehicle and gave him my paperwork from the transaction on my current vehicle that was purchased in Florida 1-year ago showing how sales tax is calculated, he said he still couldn't figure it out while texting on his phone. There was no desire to find a definitive answer, definitive suggestion or even to sell me a vehicle, I quite honestly was taken back. But wait a minute, Pat just told me he had a customer that just flew up from Florida to purchase a vehicle that was waiting for him (maybe that commission was bigger) so HOW IN THE WORLD would the dealership NOT know how to calculate Florida Sales Tax. Additionally, remembering his statement to me that people fly in from all over to purchase vehicles from Fairfax Motors yet they don't know how to calculate sales tax from another state????? That's when I figured I was in the wrong place, BUYING a vehicle let alone a $37,000 vehicle shouldn't be that difficult and the customer surely shouldn't have to "prod" the salesman to get the deal done as a favor. Being a business owner myself this interaction obviously had a lasting impression, I later said to my wife that if that was an employee that worked for us there would be a come to Jesus meeting about customer service practices and professional strategies when dealing with customers. As a suggestion I make my employees take on-line certification course in the "Art of the Sale" and how it all starts with the "First Impression." Sure I'm from Florida and this won't have an effect on the dealership's bottom line at the end of the day, but it sure is a shame that I felt compelled enough to have to write this rather lengthy review when I'm actually NOT a huge fan of reviews. If I don't like the steak at a particular restaurant I'll turn to my wife and tell her I don't like the steak and don't feel as though I need to write a bad review. As a business owner you are NEVER going to make every customer happy, but good lord this transaction wasn't rocket science and there were NO outlying expectations. Unfortunately in this case I just couldn't let it go, obviously another Virginia/Maryland dealership will end up benefitting from my $37,000 which is all the same to me other than I lost over an hour of my life that I wouldn't mind having back!

    I contacted this dealership about an S80 Volvo, they had for sale. They returned my emails and telephone calls promptly and told me the car was sold.... So, I don't have the experience of an actual transaction; but they did return my call, regarding the vehicle.

    I had no plans to buy a car until mine was totaled in New York by an unlicensed driver. Luckily, my family was OK despite being rear-ended on the Long... Island Expressway. It was a scary experience and that's why I appreciate the understanding and care provided by Fairfax Motors. I wanted a safe car without the usual pressure by new car dealers and their young sales staff ... and I found it with sales professional, Michael Webb and owner, Andy Gurowitz. Each was concerned with, first, the health of my family and, second, with selecting the right car for me in a non-pressure environment. Mr. Webb pre-selected and prepped a MBZ and BMW and let me decide which car worked best for me. I was very impressed they trusted me to borrow the MBZ overnight. Their financing was unbeatable -- two local banks couldn't come close. The MBZ was the perfect choice because of its safety, quality, elegance, and price. You won't find a bigger fan of Fairfax Motors than me. Go somewhere else If you're looking for overpriced cars, high pressure sales tactics, repeated calls and emails, and so called "expert" sales staff with barely any experience. Go to Fairfax Motors if you want a family-owned business that knows cars, has great selection and pricing, and treats you with courtesy and respect.

    Many thanks to Michael Webb and the Fairfax Motor team. Prior to our purchase we researched and shopped at several dealerships for my Lexus and walked... away for one reason or another. This experience was pleasant and professional with no hard sales tactics and everyone was so nice and accommodating to all our needs. I would also like to express that I was very impressed with how the car was spotless and presented like a new car. I can honestly say that I don’t feel like I bought a used car – I bought a “previously loved” car. I will definitely recommend everyone I know to Fairfax Motors and I will make sure they ask for Michael. He made the entire experience easy and stress free! Thank you Michael – did I mention that I love my Lexus?
